Cool hotel in a really cool small village Huntingdon. Walk to hotel from Train station. . . .nice getaway from the hustle and bustle (and high prices) of London.

I paid but could not stay at the property, despite the fact that the staff was friendly and they tried to solve the issues. I had room no 18, which I do not recommend to anyone, especially to old persons or children due to safety issues. The floor was bumpy, the bed was not plane, it was inclined at approx 20° due to the floor, there was a huge crack on the ceiling and wall above the head of the bed, waiting to fall on the bed, the window was falling, could not stay open. Dim light inside. Overall it was a safety hasard. It was noisy and there was no elevator. The price was the same as at the nextdoor, very elegant & comfortable hotel The Old Bridge.

We had a lovely time and very happy with our room and evening meal in the restaurant. The hotel needs a bit of talc on the decoration side.

It was comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing. Our friends were charged twice for their room. They have called from the US to the hotel to discuss, hotel management are denying the double charge even though their credit card clearly shows a double charge. The hotel is not busy at all, probably reflecting lack of good service. We won't stay there again even though we travel to the area yearly.

Good place to stay in the center of Huntingdon, with good dining facilities.

Kitchen closed at 21.00hrs in a Friday evening, a beautiful old historic building that needs some TLC urgently. And our shower was disgustingly fifthly with years of a build up if grim on every corner of the shower unit . I have photos.of proof.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rates were ok. Amenities ok. Beds were ok amd clean. Old hotel it's a bit creeky but it was fine.

Nice, clean and comfortable room. Shame about the food service, ordered a meal, starter arrived, 50+ minutes later still no main course! Lost my appetite by then, left after receiving a refund, shame as the food looked good, wasn’t packed with diners so I have no idea why my service was poor!

It’s a lovely, cosy hotel. Our room was very big which was nice. Water pressure is quite poor though and communication from the hotel was shocking, I messaged them twice and got no replies. Apart from that the overall stay was good and I would use this hotel again in the future.

A little disappointing, I have stayed here before and the décor etc looked tired, strips of wallpaper above bed torn, couldn't open window on a warm night, for instance. To be fair, excellent location, room was basic (no toiletries for example) but clean and tidy, staff were friendly and breakfast excellent. My overall opinion was a little over priced for what was on offer.

Great location, very nice staff. Everyone was so polite and helpful. Hotel is dated but full of charm. Bathrooms need updating but are very clean. Rooms are cosy. Food is ok. Was very noisy on our last night as there was a function which continued into the early morning into the Courtyard which had a negative effect on our sleep. But apart from that a very nice stay.

Liked unusual items on the menu. Found the ancient and crooked floors hard to manage

It’s a perfectly nice hotel although it feels a bit tired. Our room was comfortable, but the sink had several chips and cracks in it, and so did the bath so the bathroom felt a bit tired and in need of a refresh. Also no anti-slip mat provided to shower in a bath. The room was comfortable. The bed was comfortable.

A tired hotel. All staff friendly and helpful. If they can find a way to reduce the water temperature they will reduce their costs and make environmental savings.

Very friendly staff for housing and dining. Nice clean quiet room.

Overall hotel was really good. The bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size, bath was a treat. Stay was only let down by the food, especially breakfast which was very disappointing. However this was dealt with at the time. Little hiccup over replacing dirty towels, but again, this was dealt with promptly and with no fuss. Would recommend hotel to others as a good stay in a pleasant location.

The staff were great the food in the evening far from great my wife ordered pate to start the waitress returned and said sorry there’s no left she ordered salmon for mains sorry none left.Breakfast was ok but the toaster needs replacing and a continental breakfast no cheese or cold meats. And the number of stairs to our room up the stairs along a corridor down stairs along another corridor down more even more steeper stairs we will not be coming back.

Good value for money, breakfast was good, staff very friendly and helpful, unfortunately not advised at time of booking that there was a function going on Friday evening, was a little noisy, but did not spoil our stay.
