The single use slippers offered by the hotel d not fall in line with current sustainability needs. Please get rid of them

Gym and spa were very good. Fairly clean and very friendly staff. Main complaint is the bed was very soft and uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel excellent facilities, limited choice of food in restaurant

We booked this hotel and spa for a 2 night break. Staff were welcoming and informative. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a Coffee Machine and kettle for tea. The leisure facilities were clean and tidy with a few loungers and chairs around the pool. There were 2 large spa pools, a swimming pool, steam room and sauna. Robes, towels and slippers were provided at reception. Lockers required you to enter your own 4 digit code so no need to “scrabble around” for a £1.00 coin. Breakfast was very busy on the Sunday morning and perhaps they would have benefitted from an extra member of staff to either seat people or clear tables as the 2 that were on duty were rushed off their feet! Monday morning on the other hand was quiet and steady. Dinner in the restaurant on Sunday night was delicious. On all occasions the staff were welcoming and cheerful. We hope to return soon.

Great venue and the service was excellent. The room was very nice, but the bed was old and saggy, not comfortable at all.

Very disappointing. Paid £271 for executive room on a Saturday night. Room was dated, carpets smelly, TV tiny and from around 2001, no fridge, definitely NOT executive. Hotel is very tired and run down. Carpets are all old and smelly. Looks like hotel hasn’t been touched for 25+ years. The room was worth £120 no more. Will never stay there again. Staff are very good. Lovely guy called David is very attentive and new manager seems genuinely concerned at the condition but the owners need to pull their fingers out and spend some money. It’s terrible! The setting is lovely. The spa and pool are ‘ok’ but tired. Rooms simply terrible! Food was also terrible. Barely edible and over priced.

Overall we had a great stay. The room was good, and the spa facilities were lovely. We both had amazing massages. The only down side really was the restaurant as when we arrived for dinner, there was no steak or chicken left. It made the menu quite restrictive. What we ended up ordering was nice though. We also had a cocktail in the bar, my porn star martini was awful, basically vodka with j2o and they charge extra for the Prosecco shot which is a basic part of the cocktail!

Nice hotel and Spa Relaxing

Very nice hotel

Lovely area, hotel looks lovely, but our bathroom flooded when using the shower. Breakfast was limited as the coffee and milk ran out and wasn’t replaced due a while. The eggs and beans ran out. The restaurant had tv on during our meal.

The bed made noise

Nice, peaceful estate grounds however the rooms need an upgrade. It was distinctly average and bathroom needed some work considering how much it cost to stay there. Lovely, helpful staff and spa was nice too.

Arrived late (8:45pm) to find the hotel had ignored my booking which clearly stated twin beds . We’d had a long journey only to find the restaurant was full and we couldn’t even order food in the bar ! They should contact guests re the need to book. Very disappointing. The hotel is bleak and needs updating . Quite depressing. Premier Inns are better . Thank fully the bed was comfortable and the gardens beautifully done . I wouldn’t stay again .

This hotel is definetley NOT a 4-star. I would say it is 3-star at the most. Rooms are very dated. Felt like I was stepping back in time to the 80's... worn out tired looking carpets. Room lacking the amenities expected from any modern or 4-start hotel. Poor cleanliness. Spa facilities, okay. Again, lacked cleanliness. Swimming pool was fairly dirty. Bar service at the hotel literally non-existent. Don't expect to be served quickly or with a smile. You are better off visiting some of the quaint smart gastro-pubs nearby. The only positive I can say about this hotel is the restaurant. Food was great courtesy of a very good chef.

We had no trouble in locating the Hotel. We found all the staff helpful, professional, polite and friendly. We were very pleased to be offered an upgrade on our room which we found very comfortable and clean throughout our stay. The food was very good from the breakfast to the evening dinner. The Hotel and grounds were very well maintained. Overall our stay was wonderful and will look forward to returning.

Very good hotel worth the stay

This place is a hidden gem. The gym overlooks the golf course, the pool and spa facilities were wonderful. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was well presented and delicious. It was surprising that the restaurant wasn't busy as we thought the service and food was great and it definitely met our standards regarding quality, presentation and tasty.

The room and facilities are great and the staff are all very friendly.

Day 1 had a good delivery driver hammering on the door by my room at 6.30am Day 2 had a linen delivery at 6.15am outside my room. Spoke politely with house keeping and discovered that waking guest at 6.15am is acceptable. It’s clearly not…..

Great hotel if you want a quiet spa break

A brilliant hotel with excellent facilities. Lovely room and a delicious breakfast. The location is also brilliant for Bicester village!

I contacted he hotel prior to arriving and within the cancellation period to say that the room price had dropped significantly. They agreed to sort this for me on arrival; which they then refused to do when we arrived. Despite booking a superior room, it was dated. Furniture scrapped, a dirty bathroom door handle, lights not working. The standard lamp bulb held in place with masking tape! The meal was lovely but initially the staff forgot about us and we had to wait over 20 minutes to be served on a relatively quiet evening, and only after I asked that they take our order. To be fair, thereafter the dining room staff were very attentive and helpful feted free drinks by way of an apology. Breakfast was, at best mediocre. I had been very much looking forward to staying at the hotel, having had a significantly better experience previously. However, I won’t return.

Absolutely serene and a wonderful night's getaway. Will definitely go again!

Spa and pool

Booked for a night away with my partner. We chose to upgrade the room but the room we were given was old, tired and outdated, without a fridge or basic amenities. We chose this hotel due to the spa, but unfortunately this experience was not at all relaxing. The pool was full of children, jumping in, shouting and splashing, and the rest of the spa was generally run down, with broken showers etc. Avoid the hotel restaurant. The food was average, with a basic menu. Service was extremely poor. Our waiter took each course to the wrong table, was more concerned with asking for cigarette breaks than serving us, and at one point he had an argument with another member of staff, who definitely appeared far more competent than him. Faulty Towers came to mind. Breakfast was again poor, with items missing. Both restaurants were outdated. The reception area was pleasant and most staff were friendly, but this is certainly not a 4* hotel.

This hotel is a 3* at best. Rooms are outdated, with no safe or fridge. The heating barely worked, and given it was subzero temperatures outside, our room was freezing. There is also no additional duvet/blankets which is standard for most hotels. The spa was average and the pool was busy with swimming lessons. Upon checking out, someone had charged their dinner to our room. This was rectified by the receptionist who was friendly, however, it summed up our stay - average.
