Property was good and amenities were helpful but the housekeeping did not change the sheets, simply remade the bed. Food was okay at the restaurant but quite expensive.

Staff are beautiful Our family of four adults stayed in the beach house, ample space with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We hired scooters for the week so could come and go as we pleased without inconvenience to anyone as the beach house is next door to resort. Best access is via beach for a very basic continental breakfast in the mornings. Basic 3 star accommodation which suited us but would probably stay on west side next time. Would recommend to prebook Aitutaki as it was booked out and we missed out No free wifi need to buy a Vodafone hotspot which only works in certain areas around the island

Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff went out of their way to resolve a couple of minor issues (out of their control). Bar is only open from 4pm daily. We were in rooms 1,2 and 3 and the rooms above were quite noisy

Super friendly and helpful staff, special thanks to Varni and Minnie. Great vibe in Wilson's bar and restaurant from happy hour and on into dinner. Cocktails were nice too. Lots of food options and different theme each night. We thoroughly enjoyed Sunday night with the entrainment.

Wonderful staff, very quiet during the daytime but in the evening, the restaurant fills up with guests from all over the island which we thought was very fun! The food is delicious. If you want daytime activity, you will need to go elsewhere but if you want peace and a private beach, this place is perfect!

Restaurant and bar staff were very friendly and attentive and called us by name and took great care of us during our 3-night stay. Sunday BBQ was excellent! and the entertainment that evening was wonderful! Room was clean quiet and comfortable.

A truly superb resort with wonderful staff, a great location and a laid-back vibe! We couldn’t have picked better snd it was much better value than some of the big resorts. The rooms were great and had everything we wanted - you could cook a three course meal if you really needed - there was a great breakfast included and an excellent restaurant. The bar and the beach were great for lazing! Advice from the front desk was spot on - big thumbs up to Anita! And because we had some damage left from a previous guest owner Paul was on it in a flash! We would happily go back any time!

At this time of the year totally perfect for rest and relaxation. The best room with balcony overlooking the trees and watch the waves roll in. Afternoons in the water and then out in time for Happy Hour! Food and cocktails outstanding and the gem of this place is the staff they are the 'icing on the cake' so to speak. We will definitely return and next time for longer.

I travelled with the whole fam (4x adults) We had a late flight so we arrived in the property almost midnight. We checked-in in our room (2bedroom suites) with no issues at all as prior instructions was given clearly ahead of time. Everyone’s first impression was “Wow!” Our room was so spacious and most of all clean and comfortable. We would have given it 5 stars, however, 1 room had no A/C that everyone has to sleep in one room (luckily the bed is big enough for 4 of us). Otherwise, it felt like a home away from home. Kudos to the staff for excellent service.

We loved the privacy. We loved that there was a restaurant and bar right on the beachfront - the food was delicious. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. We loved the easy access to the beach and being able to walk from our room down to the beach to swim. The foot bowl and extra floor towels for cleaning sandy feet were great too. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

Very decent sized rooms, excellent sized full fridge to fit in all your food and beverages in our poolside studio room. We had good privacy on our balcony area from the pool with the plant foliage between us. Complimentary breakfast was awesome with fresh fruits, toast with toppings fresh juice water tea coffee etc. And the hot breakfast options off the menu was very nice and generous sizing. The beach had a small lovely sandy area to bathe which we really enjoyed if you want to vege out in the water. (Would be cramped if 5 or more people in the area). Great central location to town and the lovely southern beaches around the Rarotongan resort and Titikavika beaches. Staff at the resort super friendly. Would happily stay there again.

The staff were amazing. The property is run down most of the umbrellas have holes in them, and the deck chairs have been mended a lot but are still broken. I got locked in my room because I shut an interior door overnight not realising the lock on my side of the door did not work. I could not get out. I rang reception but it was not manned at the weekend. I then tried to ring the other number on the phone but that was also not picked up. I watched out the window, caught someone walking by attention, and asked them to find someone to let me out. I put something against the door so I did not accidentally shut it again and get locked in. This door was not fixed before I left. A man did try and fix it but the lock did not fit the door. The staff in the restaurant were amazing and professional. The food was great. It was just a shame about the property maintenance.

Had a really good stay was nice and quiet adult only vibe. Great ideas with the washing tub for sandy feet really nice and helpful staff would stay again amazing sunsets even got to see whales right out of our room. Breakfast down by the beach was an amazing way to start out days

It’s not near other properties for dining options, but they have a very extensive menu and the food was delicious. The staff are the best, attentive and friendly and helpful.

The staff were my favourite made us feel so looked after and cared for. Always greeting with a smile and the sound of laughter durong dinner Best part was Sunday night BBQ Buffet with a fire on the beach wowwwwww

This was our second time staying at Castaway and hopefully will not be our last. The people make a place and from Reception to their lovely and professional Restaurant team . It’s a great place to Eat and take in the sunset at Wilson’s Bar and also a comfortable stay at the Castaway property!

Stayed in an ocean view Villa. Newly refurbished and fantastic would definitely come again. Very friendly staff
