They have remodeled some since I was there in February. The On the Border is gone and they Starbucks is part of the bar area. Dining options are only Barry's Bistro in the hotel, but there is pizza available next door and other options further down.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Beach in front of hotel closed for repairs but didn't take away from enjoying our stay.

Our stay was awesome! It was a well-maintained hotel the only issue I had was the clogged shower, water pressure and water temperature. I enjoy cold and room temperature water but it didnt allow it when showering. I would even offer a small vacuum or broom for sand sake to guests. Other then that, we'll definitely be back. Josh was also kind and patient.

Had an issue with the people staying upstairs. Employees took their time to address and the noise continued. Had to ask for change of room at midnight.

I was able to pick up parking permit and wristbands before checkin time. Great location with direct beach access. Amenities offered are very convenient. Shoutout to housekeeping staff! All of them are very courteous and always smiled. Common Areas were kept clean despite the high traffic flow with sandy shoes and beach wagons. On The Border and Barry’s Beach Bar are awesome for drinks and food.

I loved everything except for one thing and one thing only. At night the room is pretty dark. I got the junior suite and the only main light in the whole ceiling was in the center hall of the room (soft white). That was it! There were only 3 lamps the rest of the room with daylight colored lightbulbs. I was so disappointed. The bathroom was great though…

Its was an ok stay. I didn't like that i to park down and across the street as a paying customer due to the restaurant and concert. They should have made them park and walk. Lastly, none of the floor staff spoke English so you couldn't get what you needed.

It would have been fine if the toilet hadn't run and the bed wasn't hard as a rock. I thought the breakfast was suppose to be free but it wasn't and too small for a large hotel. Actually the whole island was a let down...first and last time. The drive was too far for a subpar beach experience.

The facility was wonderful with easy access to the beach, pool and restaurant. Loved that there’s a Starbucks on the lobby with a small shop to purchase immediate necessities. My family and I will now have this hotel in mind every time we want to visit south padre!

This is our second year to stay at this property. This year our room and the beach chairs weren’t as well taken care of in the years past, but it was still ok.
The convenience of proximity to the beach as well as food options and a pool that gets shaded late in the day made it a great choice for us.

The entire hotel smelled like eggs and Sulfur from the time you enter the lobby. We had to ask to change rooms because there was construction going on in the next room until 11 PM. They didn’t even tell us that there was gonna be construction and the entire hallway. They moved us to a tiny room on the other side where the sink smells like sewer.

My guest forgot a pool dress it was never recovered
There was no luggage carts, so we have to walk all the way around the lobby n elevator area and that halls to our rooms with no help at all.
