All was good

We stayed in the 'hotel' part of the accommodation. Ours was a room with two single beds, plus a pair of bunk beds. It wasn't the biggest room in the world, but it was more than adequate. A good ensuite with an excellent shower. The location of the hotel/hostel is excellent, just five minutes from the main station. The common areas are all well kept and the bar prices were very reasonable. In case you are driving it is worth noting that there is no parking available on site. We parked in a multi-storey which was about five minutes walk away.

In cheaper places in an excellent location you usually get more or less what you pay for. The A&O, however, punches above its weight. Not only is the location excellent, right around the corner of Dortmund Central Station, AND it is pretty quiet, the personnel is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable; but the property is also clean, my room was really big, the amenities are modern and well maintained, there is a spacious lobby, a safe and well-organized luggage room - it's just overall great value for the price!

"Nothing special" place in Dortmund. Good if you are not a demanding person. Don't know why but they alway give less bed sheets than needed.

Everything was ok. Nice place to stay 2-3 days.

Clean rooms, great breakfast selection, always pleasant staff, and amazing prices!

Cheap. Central location. OK standard. Not a very nice neighborhood after dark and not the most comfortable mattress, but pretty much as good as can be expected for a cheap layover.

Simple hostel that also doubles as a hotel. Great location, but the cleanliness was not that great (not at least in my room).

We spent one night with our dog at the hostel. The staff was friendly and they gave us a big room so we could be more comfortable with the dog. The room was newly renovated and clean. There are a lo of of near by restaurants. Overall we had a good stay.

Central, not noisy. M/C parking near by. Easy walk into the centre of town. There are lots of cafes, restaurants and bars in the area.

Rip off hostel, super dirty and they make you buy bed sheets for extra 10 euros and 5 euros hotel fee

We were a large group of different personalities, but every single one was really pleased with the choice of place to stay.

Comfortable hotel just 4 blocks away from Dortmund’s central station. One block away from outlet and mall areas. Great to have some Turkish and German dishes.

Friendly staff, decent bunk beds, fairly clean and good value for money.

Was very polite and good location.blanket fees were expected but not immediatly obvious on Hotels site but thats not on A&O

The Hotel was fine. It is central and near to the HBF. The staff were all very friendly and able to assist. Breakfast was value for money and the bar inexpensive. We got exactly what we expected.

Its the worst hotel I have ever been I advice every one don't waste your money not clean room are smiley no parking , you have to pay for dog , even if you have small dog , you have to pay for breakfast even not a good breakfast , room in local busy area very noisy I couldn't sleep , room very hot no ear-condition .

IT was ok

No outlets nor light in bunk beds. The ladder in bunk beds was in the middle and uncomfortable to lay down in bottom bed.

We (a family of four) booked one of the family rooms at A&O. The room itself was rather cramped - the double bed was pushed right up against the bunk bed, and there was little space to put our bags. But it was a fairly modern room, and very clean. The hostel is perfectly located in the city centre. It was a 5 minute walk from the central station, a similar walk to the underground, and close to the Christmas market, shopping complex, and many restaurants. The lobby area in the hostel was nice and a good place to read and relax (since there wasnt really any space in the room itself to do this).
