Just under £40 (assuming I get the damage deposit of £100 back!). Extremely good electrics - with no less than 12 sockets, and a USB point, TV, fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. I had off-street parking, but there are only 3 spaces, so I was lucky. Parking restrictions in the nearby streets apply after 8am, which might be a problem if you're a late riser. The reception staff were very friendly both in the morning and in the evening. The only negative point (which actually did not apply to me as I was so very tired I would have slept through an earthquake) was that the door opening on to the permanently lit courtyard at the back had a window (with frosted glass) which had neither blind nor curtain, so that the room was lit (albeit indirectly) throughout the whole night, and was never in darkness. This could be remedied by fixing a blind or curtain, and I would suggest to the owners that they do so.

I booked with Britannia Inn but after checking in they sent me to Lucky 8 Hote and it’s a nightmare.
Reception are rude, racist and unhelpful.
The lights are switching off every minute. I reported to their reception but instead of helping me they blame me and they want to charge me.
Never never to this hotel, avoid at all if you don’t what to have problem

Arrived to find they did not have any rooms despite the booking. We were sent to an affiliated hotel a 19 minute walk away. This was a hotel used by benefits recipients, new arrivals to the UK and people with obvious challenges. A nightmare.

The worst hotel I had stay in UK. Everything is bad and we made the booking fees already still need us to pay £100 for deposit and must via debit/credit card and hold the money for 5-14 days.

I arrived at the hotel where I was charged £100 as an additional deposit for the period. After I was checked in, I was informed that there was no room available and I was sent to another structure that has been infested with bedbugs and guests were in discomfort from bedbugs bites. I refused to stay in that facility and after much heated discussion, I was sent to another structure that was full of moulds etc. The whole experience was a nightmare.

The beds are all gone, we were unable to sleep as the mattress was not comfortable at all, the room wiil require some refurbishment. Though we had a free parking which is good, plus you have to deposit £100 🤔, what if someone does not have that much to put down, i really don't know the logic behind the £100

I made the booking online and I arrived late, after 12 am from Scotland. ( 8 hours driving). I received the company policy at 11:33 pm by email, so I did not manage to prepare for the 100 pounds card deposit. ( I only had cash available at the time of arrival) The receptionist did not let us stay, although we had nowhere else to go, so we had to sleep in the car.
Would never go back or recommend to anyone. Very unfriendly service.

Was moved to the sister hotel which was even worse, very noisy and uncomfortable not a great experience

I booked and paid with breakfast, what they served is only slice bread, egg, small packets of jams and coffee. I don’t drink coffee so I asked for juice or water but they said they don’t serve, so that’s disappointing and frustrating.
Lastly, during checkout I waited for about 15mins because no one in the reception area, total of 6 people waited.

I turned up there was a drunken lady on the floor by reception.
My damage depsit was taken and only then was I told that I was not actually staying there. (I had carried ny bags into reception already). I complaines syaing that they should have told me that before taking any deposit as it was now gone out of my account.
I was sent around the corne (in the car) to a sister hotel.
There was no parking and for that I had to park at another sister hotel around the corner and walk back to the hotel.
The sister hotel was called lucky 8 and to our relief there was nothing wrong with the room and it was a nice stay overnight.

First there was no room available only to be told after i paid £100 deposit. They took me to park hotel which is full of homeless people and women with children playing everywhere like a kindergarten. The place was smelling like hell. I declined the first room they offered me which smelling of cigarettes and had cigarette ends on the window seal. The other room was so hot and fun or anything to cool the room There was no breakfast as said on the booking. People were fighting throughout the night..
Waste of money and this hotel should be investigated. The bed was broken on one end.
Would not even recommend my worst enemy to stay there.

We definitely should have looked at the reviews better before staying at this place. Our first impression of the room itself was terrible. Worn down, dirty, there were rodent traps everywhere?! It also smelled terrible. We were too scared to sleep under the covers provided because of how unclean the room was. The bed was also basically just springs to sleep on. The location itself was also very uncomfortable, very noisy at night and felt unsafe in general to walk around. There wasn’t much around except to get the hell out of there. If the hotel was reasonably priced it wouldn’t be as much of an issue, you get what you pay for - except it was in no way a cheap hotel. Price does not match value.
Bit of lack of communication as well - we were told we would receive our deposit back within 3 days. It’s been a week now and still no deposit, and I can’t get in touch with the hotel via the chat.

Booked at Britannia, stayed before and good, moved to Lucky 8 due room mtce probs - sister hotel great; restful, comfortable sleep, appreciate the toiletries and tea/coffee etc. Ilford high st is nearby, great choice of cuisine and shops. Parking for me was great, had a space all days, quiet neighbourhood.

We arrived at the hotel, unpacked our car of our cases, checked in to be told we had to then get back into our car and drive to another hotel up the road (not walkable so good job we had a vehicle). We were informed there would be parking at the other hotel. There were spaces but they had bollards to prevent you parking there. The receptionist for some reason couldn’t release a space and we had to park opposite the hotel but move the car by 8am (there goes the holiday lay in). The cupboard doors are hanging on by one hinge. The room was next to the breakfast room so noisy in the morning. The cleaner started hoovering outside our room at 8am and woke my son. The pillows also need replacing. They were hard and flat. A very uncomfortable night. Lastly I plugged the kettle in for a well needed cuppa which didn’t work. I let the cleaner know and they said they would bring us a new one later, needless to say we didn’t get one.
For us the main issue was having to drive to another hotel, reluctance to assist with parking despite parking spaces available and noise.

This hotel was booked for two key workers .
On arrival the hotel demanded £100.00 per room - totalling £200.00, despite the website stating one deposit
They also demanded ID from all guests, these could not be given as neither worker had such in their possession, the hotel refused entry and also refused to refund monies paid for booking.
we book on average for workers 35 rooms per month and never have we received such diabolical service , Britannia hotels WILL NEVER be used again.

I came to hotel and they check me in and then they say they have to transfer me to another hotel? If there is maintenance issue then don’t let people to book into the hotel in that location in the first place very unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour

We turned up to discover local environmental health wanting to inspect, the property was filthy, rude and abusive staff. Pictures on other reviews made us think stay clear. Needs to be shut down and removed.

They transferred us to a neighbour hotel because the original one didn’t have enough room. The neighbour hotel was very poor in terms of customer support. I have asked them often if I could park somewhere as their driveway was full but they couldn’t tell me anything.

We were directed to a new hotel, few streeets away, not what we had booked. No parking available at new hotel, had to park in street which was only ok as after 6.30pm & the next day was Sunday. Took £100 security deposit, told will take up to 14 days to return. Mouse/rat traps left visible in the bedroom. Wouldn't recommend.

I was greeted badly of their reception staff (black girl) because of my Google review. She couldn’t accept the review that I left her which I honestly experienced on the day I stayed on this hotel. But she repeated again in very bad way how she treated me, shouting at the reception. She really had bad attitude. She shouldn’t be working as reception giving bad image to the business establishment she work with. Highly not recommend this hotel to anyone if she’s working, Avoid as much as you can.

No rooms available at the house. You will be turned away after your booking has been processed and a £50 deposit is taken.
The house stinks of damp. Nittys and prostitutes use this premises for their services.
No parking what so ever is available. You will have to wake up 8am to move your vehicle as its permits only.
You will be promised a refund but will never hear from the 'accounts' department. The department does not exist.

Rented this hotel to save some money, but regretted it after we got the room. The Wi-Fi doesn't work at all !! The room smelled so bad, probably the dirty carpet. The carpet needs to get removed or replaced. The beds are so old and so hard, the springs sticking out of the mattress. The bathroom is dilapidated and filled with spiders. The breakfast is bad, it needs more variation.
The card key for the hotelroom we got didn't work half of the time, and it needed to be charged every time we got back to the hotel. Overall this hotel just needs a bigger renovation and improvements.

Good:- Amenities such as fridge, microwave, kettle, teas and coffees, TV- Inside of fridge clean- Inexpensive compared to average London rates- Free breakfast of good quality Bad:- Shower runs cold and is broken- Inside of microwave very tatty- Inconsistent cleaning job- Wi-fi does not work at all and 4G connection extremely bad- Negative experience with the receptionist staff upon arrivalUgly:- Room in a terrible state. Food(?) stains on ceilings, walls, light switch!!!- Dirty handles- Thick build-up of black mould around rim of shower from inconsistent cleansing- Cobwebs!!- Duvets and mattresses need to be replaced or better hiddenI was prepared for wear and tear, but still expected a clean room and functioning shower! But I did not manage to get a single shower during my time spent here, and was very unsettled and underwhelmed. The thought of touching handles or opening the fridge/microwave door or turning the light switch on with my bare hands made me feel uncomfortable, because I didn't know what they had cleaned and what they had not.I would have preffered a clean and functional en-suite room with no amenities to what I was provided with. The least a hotel should be doing is cleaning room surfaces down thoroughly after each use!If the hotel staff kept room maintenance to half the standard the kitchen staff kept breakfast service, this would definitely be at least a "3 star hotel". But the receptionists, cleaners and m

It was a very sketchy property that it felt more like a motel than a hotel but the very good pricing, very good breakfast and the staff was extremely friendly. The property needs a lot of updates but for the most part was clean.
