the breakfast was not the best

We love this hotel. We stay every time we are our way to Tennessee. It’s very clean and comfortable and the staff is so always so nice!

Our room was clean and tidy. The staff was friendly.

Everything was great. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was basic but good for a free breakfast.

I came into town to visit family and needed a place for my fiance and I to stay. When booking I noticed they had a room with a double jacuzzi tub, so I booked it. We had a long drive and the jacuzzi tub was nice after a long day of driving. Thank you for going the extra mile for that extra bonus touch. The check-in through email was super convenient and easy. Such an easy hotel to work with and the staff was so polite.

Mold in and around bathroom door - disgusting

We have stayed here a few times before and it will be the first place we check when returning to the area. I would recommend to anyone

Only stayed 1 night but excellent overall, very good value and very clean. The only downside is the traffic noise. Tractor trailers had an annoying habit of using their loud jake brakes at night.

It was me and my fiancé and we got the room with the jacuzzi tub, because we used our hotels.com app and had some extra points to use.. we LOVED it! It had a bar, a jacuzzi tub, a bathroom with a shower/tub, queen size bed, NICE tv with hbo & all the movie channels.. I mean this room had it all.. we’ll definitely return! So nice and clean. We felt like we were something!! One thing we noticed was breakfast ends at 9:30am and usually it lasts longer in other hotels so we missed it ;( but that’s our faults!! Other than that.. staff was great, room was great, pool was great..

Convenient, variety breakfast, room cleaning was great!

The room was very clean, but very small. Literally just fit 2 queen beds & barely any room for anything else. But I’m not complaining because we didn’t need any extra room for much. So not really a big deal… we paid $20 for the late check out which extended it from 11am-1pm.. kinda pricey but, it served our purpose. After leaving on a Thursday I realized on Sunday that I had left a drawer full of my expensive clothes behind!! I called the hotel and by luck they had them bagged and ready, personally I think they should have contacted me about my clothes being left behind but that wasn’t the case. I’m grateful that I got my clothes back and left the housekeeper a $20 tip for her honesty. I just wish they’d of called me instead of me having to call them. I will mention that they do have a pool but they share it with the Ramada motel next door which made it kinda crowded when we went down for chairs to lay out in the sun, maybe add a few more chairs that would be nice. Other than that perfect stay!! Top notch! (Our phone didn’t work in our room either…. When I called my fiancé via the room phone it didn’t work… and we wasn’t reimbursed for the trouble)

Stains on chair and bench cushion. Chair back wornout. Sink cracked. Not a great impression. Breakfast is very limited (no eggs, no juices...)

Quiet

Hotel was nice. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. The rooms could use some updating. Our sink was cracked and broken. The mirror had spots on it. I would also suggest having pictures of water at the breakfast buffet.

Next to the interstate

We only stayed one night. The hotel was good for a stop over, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was adequate but for 3 adults, we were only given 2 sets of towels and one extra large towel. We shared the hand towel and wash cloth. The window seat and chair in the room were stained. The breakfast was ok but there were no eggs. I have a wheat allergy so I couldn’t eat any of the bread products that were available. I had yogurt and coffee which was fine. This hotel was good for what we needed it for.

Clean

The hotel was good, not great. It was clean. Had lots of potpourri type things to hide smells in the air. The entire hotel is pet friendly. I thought we booked a room that was not for pets, but was told the entire property is pet friendly. We were told the pets were on the first floor during our stay. Front staff was very dismissive after we signed in. Didn't tell us where anything was, and had to ask and was made to feel like we shouldn't have asked.

Excellent staff team

I honestly love how the staff and all dealt with me and my family. I recommend this hotel then any other hotel in the area.

This hotel is a great value for the price. Check in was quick and efficient and we like the proximity to James Madison University.

This was our first experience at a Microtel and it was a great one. We travel quite a bit and my kids loved how nice this room was. Everything was clean and comfortable. Probably the only improvement could be the breakfast and the area. Not many options and the lay out is quite odd.

I have used Microtel hotels at other places and was pretty happy with those. Unfortunately this one in Harrisonburg VA has shattered the image of Microtel. Such a dirty hotel with sticky carpets. The room had a terrible odor that I couldn’t sleep the whole night. I arrived at 12:30am and when asked to change the room all that I was offered was another room with a single queen bed (for a family of 4), or cancel the reservation. The front desk staff that night seemed least concerned about the issue. Never booking this again!
