This hotel is run down. I know COVID issues have been a strain on finance's but the carpet looks like it should have been changed 10 years ago. Everything is just tired Mold in the bathroom is just unacceptable The breakfast was not well done

The hotel room was old , the bathrooms are old.The rug was sticky.

Terrible internet !No signal in Room and 1mb speed in lobby only

The staff well educated, kind and willing to help all the time. We were a bit disappointed with the telephones. Half the times they worked. Thank God for cell phones. We will come back, the view is to kill for with the Ambato River below and mountains with spectacular views with colorful houses in front at the nearby mountains. Enjoyed the breakfast buffets with a variety of foods and fresh juices to drink.

Great hotel in the heart of Ambato on a quite street. We got the king size suite and had a great view of town and the staff was very helpful and courteous. It could use some updates on the furnishing in the rooms but overall top notch,

The hotel was where we needed to stay. We actually found an English speaking tv channel so we got to find out what was happening at home.

The hotel location is great within walking distance to center and secluded enough away from traffic noise. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room size was good and had an awesome view.

The hotel is nice and the crowd is composed by executives. Great restaurant and decent breakfast. The hotel is clean and the staff efficient. The elevator was broken and in December they usually have parties on the 1st floor. The first night they stopped the music at 12.30am but during my second night they pushed the envelop until 2.30am. They offered me another room but it would have been the same even if I would have been 50 miles away. Overall, my experience was good. This is a high-end hotel, especially for Ambato.

Having stayed in various other hotels in Ambato, myself and colleagues had great expectations of the Hotel Ambato given the significantly higher price point and Expedia rating. The hotel lacked standards of any kind.Rooms - Not hygienic, bed stained and ridden with hairs, aged décor and facilities and sticky-to-the-touch carpets.Food - Hygiene levels were appalling, glassware stank of stale water and food was inedible. Staff - Highly experienced but friendly.Locality - Central.Amenities - NoneHigh level of 'local nationals' staying in the hotel which may be the driver of high ratings.
