Beautiful hotel situated above the town to provide you with an oasis from the world. Great historic property with old world charm meeting modern comfort. The staff was amazing, the facilities were great. Only note to US guests, the rooms can get a bit hot in August, but we’d stay again!

Great place. Very clean and convenient room and its faciities. Nice pool. A lot of spots to relax inside the hotel.
Rooms with balkony at 3rd floor are not air conditioned. At hot days ask for ventilator.

Our family of four spent two nights here in May. What a magical place, the setting is perfect for recharging. There is adventure to be found for sure, however after a busy week exploring Austria on our way to Italy, we simply enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and relaxing with a book. Our suite had a balcony with incredible views of the mountains and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved our stay!

Lovely location, the Castle is beautiful, great service and lovely food. 30 minutes from Kitzbühel and surrounded by beautiful mountains. Definitely recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay at the mittersill castle hotel. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a drink in the Schlosshof. We were shown to our room, which was beautiful. So spacious with a gorgeous view. We booked the half pension for the first night, and the food was delicious. The second night we ate from the menu al a crate. Once again, delicious. We went to the spa everyday, and were very impressed with the sauna. Breakfast was very filling with excellent service. The location of the castle within the Hohe Tauern national park was great for hiking. We will definitely be back soon!

Lovely hotel, great spa, stunning views, but the layout (which can't be helped) is a bit odd and as such there wasn't much of a warm welcome when checking in or sign of any staff throughout my stay - which was a real shame.

Hotel overbooked and cancelled our reservation on our way there.after several calls they reserved another hotel but not at our standards. You are in danger to spend the night outside if you trust them. Hotels.com was promising a guaranted reservation,but did not

I knew about this hotel because my father had stayed there in the late 1940s when it was a prestigious driving club. The property is luxurious with nice amenities, expert staff, and in a stunning setting. Even though it rained when we were there, that gave us a perfect reason to enjoy the amazing spa with heated outdoor pool, hot tub, and sauna. The food and service in the restaurant are excellent.

Old building. Fire escapes are not well marked. We paid a lot of money for an upgraded room and the windows are small, so you have to stand up to see the beautiful view outside.

The greeting was cold and short. For a high end hotel the front desk was disappointing to say the least. He barely spoke to us and when asked anything seemed put out. On check out , another staff checked us out and was pleasant. He was sitting next to her and never aknowledged us
Our room was just above a room they were renovating and the constant bang bang bang all through the morning was awful. On a plus side the hotel is beautiful and our dinner and breakfast very good. You do have to walk outside to the other side of the hotel to reach it which is a little strange in the middle of winter
The suite was large and views were beautiful.

Stayed at this hotel as a participant in a wedding party. Got the Princess treatment, their attitude of Yes! Now what was the question? impressed all of us in the wedding. Not designed for wheelchairs, but workable on crutches... they did their best to facilitate parking, lift use, and leaving service areas open to me so that I could move about as I wished. A peaceful location wiht fantastic views and lots of historical and local sights to interest the family.

This is a special place that I hope to get back to. Situated in an old castle at the top of a hill, the views of the Austrian Alps are wonderful in every direction. The hotel staff was consistently warm and responsive, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Even though the castle has the feel of a place from another century, my room was completely updated and very clean.

Very luxurious. Staff went out of its way to ensure comfort. Restaurant is worth the trip alone. Outstanding cuisine. Worth noting that hotel is in final stages of development. Baggage service from rather remote parking is not yet developed. One can drive to the lower entrance and drop bags, but then must reposition car, walk back uphill to the hotel and get bags to room, which may entail carrying them up one flight of stairs, if on the 3d floor. This is the only drawback, and I am sure will be soon remedied.
