This was a wonderful place to stay at close to the beach. We enjoyed the lovely view of the ocean from our room as well!

We were happy with everything except, (and it was not your fault) some people next door to us arrived around 12:30am and proceeded to fight and yell foul language at each other. They woke us up and we had to get up at 4am to fish. It was hard to go back to sleep because they talked loudly after we called the front desk and asked them to do something with them. They were talked to and warned so they quit fighting but were still annoying. They sounded drunk. We had to turn the TV on to try and mute their noise. Thank you front desk for getting right down to their room when we called them for help.

The hotel was great. Unfortunately we booked it through Hotels.com and specifically searched for a placed that allowed pets. After driving 4 hours and checking in, we were told our non-refundable room was not on the floor that allowed pets and there were none available. It was kind of essential to our trip or we would have booked something else. Our sweet pooch had to be shoved in the car for the night and we had to keep checking on him because we felt so bad. Not the hotel's fault but I would not book through a site other than the hotel.

2nd time we have been here. Looking foward to our next visit.

What a great smile, energetic and friendly attitude we had at check-in nice quiet place was a perfect weekend.

The staff at this hotel is amazing! So friendly and helpful. The hotel is the nicest in town. The pool is great for the kiddos.

Room was clean and easy. Nothing super fancy, but good. Front desk was overwhelmed under staffed for special events weekend.

Nice area for families. No air conditioning. Lack of electrical plug ins by bed for charging phones. Missing screen in window so could open for air.

Everything seemed reasonable but we have been coming here for yrs but always had a friendly front desk staff except this time. Would have been more enjoyable to stay with better staff on the front desk.

After checking in, our hotel room looked like it was forgotten about. The hair dryer was hot screwed to the wall in the bathroom, when I called to the main desk, some man came up and temporarily screwed it back into the wall with his finger, but it fell off immediately when I used it that evening. The wall needed to be painted in 2 large areas desperately. The sheer curtain was torn on 1 side. The freezer part of the fridge needed to be scraped or thawed of frozen ice. Also, the lower towel rack fell off the wall and onto the floor when I grabbed a towel after I took my shower on our first night. When I asked about a different room, the woman at the front desk told me that there was no other room cleaned for us to change to. I received an email about my stay and when I called, no one answered. Before making reservations, I had called to inquire about availability of rooms and no one answered after multiple attempts. Someone did call back after I left a message which is a plus. Also, when I inquired about where I could get water, I was told to get it out of the bathroom sink. Overall, the scenery was nice, but I was not impressed at all by our hotel room. After walking around the outside of the hotel on the ground floor, I saw 3 or more remodeled rooms that looked updated and also empty.

I really like that they made it a big deal to ask for something as simple as a mattress that I paid for. Instead of getting a king mattress on a king bed frame. I got a queen bed frame with a full size mattress. Made my anniversary with my s/o thoroughly unenjoyable. Also don't bother trying to contact the manager they don't have a phone number and they don't check their email either. I am writing this review after waiting ample time for an email and receiving zero response. This place does not care about you they just want your money.

Small bathrooms extremely loud inside hotel at nigjt

This place is in serious need of some updating and a new look, but the basic bones are just fair so maybe not much hope. There is not much to choose from in Westport so no pressure to change. It is ok, adequate but falls far short of being an attractive place.

Check in front deal staff was so rude, felt no welcoming at all, but other front desk staffs were greeting and friendly. Hotel is so old. Restroom in lobby is closed due to water leak. Room has no ac only portable fan and portable heater, bed is so old & soft, no water pressure, toilet issue. Need account for access any tv channels. Only we loved the beautiful view and amenities outside picnic area. Hopefully they are remodeling soon so we like to comeback otherwise not going back.

Would be nice to have a broom & dustpan for the sand. Our dog room was perfect - really nice to be able to use the slider to let my dog out.

The bed was super comfortable

Wasn’t worth the price, except the fact that the area around was beautiful, nice view from the 4th floor, but reception wasn’t great, the WiFi had no internet connection, so the tv didn’t work in an capacity.

I love the place, staff was so friendly..it was close to the beach. But the wifi and Internet was the worst ever!! We couldn't watch TV...so my husband was stuck in the room with nothing to do...while my granddaughter and I went to the beach.

In general, it's a good place and a hotel, it's quite a bit out of the window, but you can see the ocean. Unfortunately, the Internet almost did not work and it made it difficult to communicate and search for the road in Google Maps, there was no breakfast in the hotel and also due to the lack of Internet it was difficult to find a cafe, the children's TV was constantly turned off. I couldn't dry my hair, the hair dryer almost caught fire, began to smoke in my hands.

Bathroom was so small that the door was hitting the toilet. The door kept getting stuck upon opening while entering the bathroom. The shower/tub is 3/4 size of a standard tub. The internet was horrible, so if you want to watch TV on your down time you won’t be able to. When first looking at this booking, one area said they have a hot tub, but they do not and will not be bringing it back (per receptionist). They DO NOT serve breakfast. You can get a cup of coffee, nothing more. Everything else costs at the front desk and they have crappy options to choose from.

Everything for the humans was great. Clean rooms, clean public areas, awesome friendly staff. **Dog owners**- avoid the lower field by the playground. I took my dog down there and she couldn’t walk after a few minutes because the grass was full of stickers. Her paw pads were covered in them and I had to spend some time plucking them all out after carrying her back to the room. The only area I did not have any issues was directly out the back doors, in front of the first floor rooms. Also, if you get a room directly across from the pool, your doors will rattle every time people go in and out. If you have a sensitive dog, they might bark thinking it’s someone knocking. Thankfully that wasn’t an issue for my dog, but definitely something to mention if you want to avoid the noise for yours.

We stayed here for a family trip last weekend, and there was a mess of things that were wrong. I’m not sure if the room was mid remodel or what, but there were some new things and many things that were in much need of repair. There was what appeared to be a brand new hair dryer, but it didn’t work. The pipes under the sink were leaking quite a bit, and the door and curtains were falling apart. We were placed on the ground floor, and our room had no windows, there was no air conditioning, and the only way to get any cool air in the room was by opening the sliding glass door which would have left us vulnerable to strangers coming into our room. When all of this was brought up to the customer service we were told the only thing they could do is refund our $20 resort fee. I was told a manager would be contacting me, but I haven’t heard anything from them. At this time I would not recommend staying here.

Nice hotel in quiet town, close to restaurants by vehicle. Rooms recently renovated and spacious, comfortable king sized bed.

We have stayed here 2 or 3 times a year for many years. The last 2 times we stayed was very disappointing. I made special requests in person a week in advance, was told that there wouldnt be a problem meeting our requests and then none of them were actually met. I asked that the 3 rooms i booked be close to eachother and we ended up on opposite sides of the hotel and the person at the front dest simply told me they were fully booked and there's nothing they could do. The wifi is terrible. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. Unfortunately i will not be staying here any more.

Lots of stuff - indoor and outdoor - to do, perfect for families. Few minute walk from the beach trail. Our kitchenette rooms were nice and spacious. Overall great experience.

This is an older property that they have mostly upgraded. Our room was great, roomy, clean, kitchenette and fans to cool off. The pool area is older, but usable except the hot tub...disappointed by that. You can play games, do a puzzle or read in the family area. There is frisbee golf, sand volleyball, a play area and fire pits available(burn ban while we were there). Deer frequent the large back lot. You can stroll to the beach along the road or through their property- a fun trail through the trees. Location is the best part, just about an 8 minute walk and you are on the beach. The whole place has charm and history that we enjoy.

Little noisy but nice place to stay

Front desk is not always manned - you may have to wait to check in. It is an older hotel... and some features are in need of repair - but those features are largely cosmetic. Their website says they have high-speed fiber internet... but their wifi doesnt work at all and there are no internet jacks.
