I stayed in unit no. 7 which was located away from the other apartments and should not have been rented. It had the electrical box for all the apartments so was often getting a knock on the door to check the box. I had to remove worms from the room, and it wasn't as advertised. Communication by host really poor . Did not realise there was no onsite manager. We’re there in middle of flooding and tropical storm and they were more concerned about a park bench that floated away than communicating with their guests on safety and finding out how we were . No one to meet us on arrival and we were left to find our room which had the wrong name on the board outside. They arrived half an hour after we got there then gave us a key that wouldn’t fit the look. By this time our luggage was in our room and we were locked out. Told the host who was onsite at the time and she drove off to go to their other accommodation and forgot about us so we were left locked out of our room for half an hour then had to ring and remind her we will still waiting to get in. Place is on the market and they were more focused on trying to sell the property to guests than making sure guests we were comfortable and looked after. They came and went at different times and seemed disinterested. The only time I hopped in the the rusty para pool for a swim the owner stopped by to clean it . Started cleaning it while I was in there and didn’t even bother to ask if it was ok so I ended up having to hop out. We had an aircon unit in our room which we werent told about usage of. If we wanted to use it had to pay $15 a day for the facility. We were only told this by another guest as there was nothing on the property information about this. I would definitely not recommend this property.

Quiet, secluded and only a short step down a leafy pathway to the ocean. Beautiful. Nice pool if just want to lie in the sun. Charming, helpful hosts. Would we return to Coral Sands? You bet we will. Xx

Great proximity & access to beach. Appreciated the chilled water, fruit juice & fresh bread to start us off. Easy bus round island. Our unit was pretty old & tired & could have done with a good overall clean. Comfy bed.

Beachfront location. Toilet seat needed attention, a pack of Tissues would have been helpful

This place had everything we wanted and more. It was clean and spacious. Had a nice pool, Brent was knowledgeable and helpful, and the breakfast supplies for the first morning were a great touch

What we liked was the privacy to be left alone to do our own thing. It's not a large place but was very comfortable for 2 of us. Brent and Eve were contactable by phone and they responded immediately to what we needed. In our case it was a blown kitchen light bulb. There is no daily cleaning, but we did this ourselves without any concern. We never went swimming as I felt the pool was not that large and was mostly used by families with children. Plenty of ocean to swim in though. Roosters were annoying and our room was on the main road so very noisy due to traffic. Just shows how busy Rarotonga is. There is no restaurant or bar at this place but there is a kitchenette if you don't wish to eat out. We preffered eating out as it gave us a chance to see and review different places each day. Overall loved and enjoyed our stay.

Spacious, self contained apparment, with private outdoor space. Hosts very helpful. Even provided beach shoes and snorkel to use.

I loved staying here, because it was super clean, very close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood. They organized a pick up and drop off ($15 each way), stopped at a supermarket on the way, and showed us some restaurants close by. The room had a mini fridge, a good size kitchen with everything you need to cook with and a good strong shower. There were a loaf of bread, 1ltr milk, a bottle of juice, spreads, coffee and tea (complimentary), the water from the tap was treated and tasted great!!It takes only 30 seconds to the beach on foot, and it was almost like a private beach, I only saw a couple of people walking by or swimming, which made it so perfect for me, because I don't like big resorts where there are lots of kids and smokers around me (no offense). I had a coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night, reading a book and listening to the waves on the beach.....They also have two kayaks, life jackets and beach shoes, snorkeling masks, DVDs and books, BBQ area, a small swimming pool (28degrees-nice!) all free to use. They even gave us a mobile phone with some credit, so we could ring up to make restaurant reservations and book activities. Internet is not free, air-con is not free, no restaurants in the complex....but I didn't need them at all. There are some resorts nearby where we can just walk in to enjoy their facilities. The temperature was just right, quite hot during the day, but cool in the evening. I definitely stay with them next time I go back.

The hosts were very helpful, gave us a tour of the apartments. There were towels, beach towels, books, DVDs, kayaks, snorkel gear and a BBQ & pool. We also were provided a cell phone to use on the island which was awesome! We had a very very comfortable stay here and I wish we had stayed here for our entire time on Cook Islands. Beautiful, modern and clean apartments. Would recommend!

My family and I had a wonderful Island getaway here - we booked three double rooms and really loved the spacious rooms and privacy of the apartments. Lovely and small with everyone getting to know each other which made for a more enjoyable stay. Brent and Eve have been AWESOME with communication before the stay with booking and helpful information towards our trip and even showing up everyday to be present and help whenever needed. They set you up with a phone to use whilst there (you need to leave money on it upon departure) but made for easy communication between us, them and activities. It was brilliant to turn up late in the evening to rooms with lights on, pre organised taxi (thanks again to Brent and Eve) and also see the BEST thing ever in the fridge - milk, butter and some amazing muffins for our first breakfast. I literally LOVE this place and would personally recommend anyone stay here. Easy access to the bus, beach, corner store and very informative in the welcome manual and pamphlets. They also have a little library and DVDs available for those more relaxed days. Best experience ever. :-) Thank you!!

The hosts, Brent & Eve were very helpful and were there to provide advice or just have a friendly chat but mainly left the guests to it which made the experience even more relaxing. The accommodation staff were also very friendly and professional and again, just let the guests get on with their holiday but were available if required.The ages of the guests during our stay ranged from the 20's up to the 80's and everybody got along really well. The layout of the complex and the on-site BBQ were a factor in this as guests would often congregate around the BBQ while the cooking was underway for a drink and a chat.The beach is less than a minute away and during our stay was very quiet and peaceful. As the name of the accommodation suggests, the beach is a coral beach and it is best to use the reef shoes provided by the accommodation. kayaks and snorkel gear are also availableAnother nice touch is the DVD & book "library" which is well stocked and a nice option after spending a day at the beach or pool Filtered water also a big plus so no need to buyThis was our third trip to Raro but the first time we have gone self catering. Whist we have enjoyed every visit, our stay at the C.S. was easily our most enjoyable yet and we will definitely be returning for our next visit.

Nice place to stay & close to nice restaurants & bars

Good value. Clean pool and adequate kitchen. Owners adressed all problems promptly. No view of the ocean though it is close. Quite a lot of traffic noise

We have just returned from 9 nights at Coral Sands. FIve adults staying in a 3 bedroom apartment. We all absolutley loved staying here, a great alternative to a busy resort. Fabulous location very close to the beach, great pool. We had a very laid back and relaxing holiday. Coral Sands was perfect. Thanks Eve and Brent.
