It is a nice hotel with friendly staff. However, the villa smelled badly of mold and there were signs of bold on the net around the bed. They need new bed sheets and towels as they are full of stains and holes.

Great spot to chill.. Spent 2 nights here. Not a lot to do unless you use the shuttle. Great natural surroundings. Loved the 3 resident ducks

Wrong pictures for the room type. Staff were helpful at the hotel - E'dia NOT so. Failed to adequately follow through. First time that we have experienced this. First world problems but not remotely satisfied with the service. Left hundreds out of pocket and wishing that we booked elsewhere.

Great hotel in the middle of the rice fields. Quiet. Great staff and nice facilities.

Truly a beautiful place for a get away in Bali. If you like to be away from the bustle of the city & touristy crowds this is the place to unwind. The room had a traditional Balinese vibe to it with a beautiful view. They also had a pool, restaurant with free breakfast, yoga class, morning walking tours around the area & shuttle bus services. The place is a bit away from the city which you will need transport to get to but otherwise it is a great stay.

We took bikes from the resort several times and biked through the area.Rooms are well appointed, and most equipped with a plunge pool. Restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices, and other services like laundry also readonably priced.Definitely a great option if you're looking for the authentic Balinese experience.

tucked in a quaint lil village , pondok Sebatu is a great escape from the polluted Ubud Central. Staff Yogi and Wid work with pride and respect; every meal from breakfast to dinner was cooked and presented beautifully-only a chef from 5* hotel can deliver this standard. excellent resort!

Our stay was wonderful in Pondok Sebatu Villa with rice field and quiet neighborhood around. The wifi is alright and the Indonesian breakfast was good as well. The Villa is small yet quiet and beautiful, which is very good for relax in a forest area.

Had breathtaking views, amazing hospotality, good food and have us a free upgrade to honeymoon suite. Also has best prices on spa packages out of the hotels we stayed in as well as your packages.

it was great stay in pondok sebatu. It takes around 30 minutes from ubud central. but they offer free shuttle to ubud central 3times in a day. room was pretty and small private pool was good. all staff were so kind. if you can drive bike, you can borrow motorbike in a hotel. there is calm area so you can enjoy driving wiht bike. highly recommand for relaxing.

The villa was a bit difficult to find but once there it was like heaven after the business of Ubub and Kuta. The pools are beautiful. We had a look at the upper family villas with frog pool. All I can say is wow. The staff let us swim there one day as nobody was staying there. It was great. We stayed in the villas with no pool except the general one. It too was lovely and the proximity to the pool and restaurant was great. There were three shuttles into town and back per day with the he trip one way lasting about one hour. The drop off/on spot was very central and easy to access. The food at the hotel was great. We had wonderful ala carte breakfasts and dinners were well priced and tasty. Try the chicken tutu or the beef rengang. The surroundings are very agrarian and it was quite lovely walking amid the rice patties. We stayed 4 nights and were sad to leave.

Best to stay in houses high up to get the view and avoid the steep steps

We spent 6 nights at Sebatu, and our stay from start to finish was nothing short of amazing. Staff from front of house and housekeeping) were attentive, friendly and were always willing to go the extra mile to enhance our stay. Especially Widi, who made sure we saw the best of Bali and ensured we had an authentic Balinese experience. He also made sure take us to places to get halal food during all of our outings. The afternoon tea offered by hotel was amazing and reflects the culture of Bali. We truly felt like part of their family by the time we left and we look forward to a return trip in the near future.

Family of 5 looking for a Ball experience different to the hussle of Kuta. Rustic intimate resort about 20 minutes outside Ubud (free shuttle 3x /day). Surrounded by rice fields. Peaceful & beautiful. The 3 bedroom villa consisted of 2 joined and one stand alone villa in a private area with central infinity pool (the photo on web page). Amazing views. Large balconies. Outside bathrooms are delightful. Would be fantastic for 3x couples. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Small resort with international guests.

We had a wonderful stay at Pondok Sebatu Villa! The staff was lovely, the views stunning and the villa was just as shown in the pictures. It is a bit far from Ubud (20 min) but if you are looking for a quiet getaway this is perfect. We rented a scooter for $10/day directly from the villa and were able to go into town easily that way. The food at the villa was also delicious. Would definitely stay here again in the future!
