We stayed here 3 nights. Good location, close to the beach and nearby shops but the “resort” is rather small: basically only a pool and the restaurant area to hang out in at the hotel. Seems like a popular place for families with small children to stay at. Lots of mosquitoes so make sure to bring repellent! Rooms were ok but need to freshen up. It’s common to hear the refrigerator at night but the one in the room we had was loud and annoying, sounded like a bulldozer entering the room every night! WiFi worked good, breakfast was ok.

we first got 2 the airport of Phu Quoc, La mer was suppose to provide us w/ a shuttle, no one was 2 b found waiting 4 us. We ended up taking a cab 2 the resort. They acted like it was no big deal, no apology given. We let that slide because we didn't want 2 let that ruin our trip. The resort was cute. having a shower/bathroom outside seemed like a good idea until we had 2 start using it -tons of mosquitos flying around. mosquitos got into our room, we we're provided a net 2 sleep in which was fine but then u gotta get rid of the mosquitos in your room before getting inside the net, just in case. For the morning we would put up a make up room sign, our room was never made for the 4 days that we stayed. They only provided us with 2 bottles of water daily & 2 new towels. On my last day being there I got food poisoning, I ate breakfast in the morning at the hotel, same thing every other morning the only difference was the pho. I'm thinking they didn't properly prepare the meat. I went to Ho Quoc Pagoda, came back 2 the room 2 hrs later. I consumed nothing during that day other than bottled water after breakfast. I ended up vomiting & having diarrhea the whole day. It was horrific esp outside in the heat because the bathroom is located outside the room. so you get the picture. Following day we checked out. prior 2 that they asked us for our info because their driver was going 2 take us. We ended up taking the cab cuz the driver wasn't there. By then we just wanted 2 get out.

Stayed here for four night and thought the garden was really nice, good service and good food. Although, no sunbeds reserved at the beach so go to the far left to rent some, otherwise most sunbeds are already reserved for other hotels. Bare in mind low pressure showers and not 'typical western' breakfast. Good banana pancakes. In general, we were happy with our stay and worth the money

La Mer is a lovely resort, tucked away from the main road but within close walking distance of it, as well as many bars and restaurants. It is also a very short walk to the beach, so it is conviently located. The only downside is it’s quite far from the main town so really you have to take a taxi to get there if you want to see it. The resort itself is quiet and relaxing. The pool is nice but quite small, but it was never busy so its size wasn’t a problem. The restaurant is quite pricy but there are many cheaper alternatives nearby, which can also be said for laundry (we went to the place closest to the resort and they did a good job for a much cheaper price). Our room was big and clean, the bed was very comfortable and we had air con and a fan. The only downside is it’s very dark as there are loads of trees surrounding the building (the bungalows might be different).Overall we had a lovely, relaxing stay at La Mer and we would definitely recommend it for a lazy beach break.

Nice place with wonderful staff, some speak english some do not. Breakfast is Nice , dinner as well . The only not so good thing is the quality Of the wifi ! The lack Of soundproofing could be a problem for some.

The room was clean, but very buggy. The bathroom is an outdoor bathroom. If you dont do well with insects and small geckos then this hotel is not for you. Overall, couldnt complain for the price I paid for the stay.

This hotel is a lovely garden hotel, great staff and nice pool. Rooms are clean and people seem to go crazy for the buffet breakfast. However Long Beach and this area in particular is a tourist trap that is pretty sad after having spent two weeks traveling around beautiful unique Vietnam. Lovely hotel but beware the location.

Stayed for 7 days. Complained about the shower nor having any water pressure. Aircon not cooling properly on the first day. Nothing ever got fixed. The big smiles of the staff did makes stay anyway to the end.z

If you need hot or even warm water on demand this place isnt for you. I wanted to give this place a 1 star because the staff failed to inform me the water is sun heated and if you want a warm shower you have to time it right before the rest of the customers use the warm water. I didnt find out until I was in the shower waiting for the water to turn warm. I cant accept the excuse that its hot outside and a cold shower is refreshing. For the price of the rooms hot water should be an option to the customer. Considering I already had paid the non-refundable hotel room fee the staff should have informed me of the water situation and advised the best times to shower. Other than that, the hotel is a decent three star. Evening staff was very friendly and helpful. I wouldnt stay here again and wouldnt recommend this place to family or friends.

Really enjoyed staying here. Great value for money in a good location moments from the beach, with a short taxi ride into town. Staff were very helpful and went out of the way to assist - especially Polly on reception.

The resort was very clean and the staff were all very friendly. The pool was kept nice and clean and was perfect to cool off after a day out in the sun. The resort is in a great location close to a number of restaurants and only a short walk from the beach.

Pros-decent room with nice quaint, tropical landscape. Service was good primarily thanks to Tri. Relatively short walk to the beach although there are several comparable price hotels are either on the beach or much closer to town. Pretty cool semi outdoor bathroom attached to room. Cons-Semi outdoor bathroom as a) major bugs and insects issue at night as light attracts them b) advised to securely lock bathroom door as security issue. Pool is significantly smaller than pictures and doesn't appear very clean. Restaurant food was a bit overpriced and not that great. Location of hotel is on about 10 minutes from the night market, main part of town.

Nice hotel, good room in pretty garden and just a few minutes walk to the beach with plenty of restaurants and other facilities nearby. Staff were helpful, there was a decent swimming pool too and the only negative was no safe in room but staff looked after my valuables at reception, no black out blinds but the shutters made the room good and dark for sleeping. Breakfast was good and I liked the frog that came into the bathroom at night

Beautiful place. Stands out from the crowd in this pricerange! Great bungalow. Kids loved it and the 5 min walk to the beach, was no problem
