This is a very pleasant and attractive property out in the country. Rooms are large and clean, showers and AC are efficient. The TV is good, they provide drinking water. Pool is very nice, not heated. There are areas to sit, relax and take in the natural surroundings.
If you just want to chill out, this place is excellent. The town of Canales is a kilometer or so away down a dirt road. It is lively, with lots of restaurants and bars and a boardwalk on the shoreline. There are ice cream and gift stores and a couple of grocery stores. It is a typical beach town.
The staff is competent and accommodating. I think they are a bit over-worked and on one occasion seemed a bit curt, telling me to use the website for information rather than providing a breakdown of the bicycles/ laundry services.
One caveat: If you don’t have a car, getting food and going out will require a hike into town. I don’t know if there are ride services. At night the road is very dark and it is basically one lane so you ned to be alert. Tavira is a few kilometers away so not really an option without a car unless you get a ride.
The breakfast is good and there is lots of parking.

I was traveling to the area for my 40th birthday. The staff was amazing the staff surprised me with a beautiful spread for my birthday to celebrate and greeted me with happy birthday wishes. It was the best stay on my trip!
Tip: keep your eyes open for the shooting stars at night.

Fabulous. Little baby George loved his stay here. The staff are amazing - so friendly. Fantastic breakfast. So peaceful. We absolutely loved our stay there - we were so sad to leve :-( thanks for making our stay so special.

Great breakfast, exceeded expectations: fresh juice, yogurt, eggs, meats and cheeses. Cake and pastries provided in the afternoon. Clean, beautiful pool with light refreshments. Beautiful rooftop to enjoy at night.

Lovely hotel in an orange farm, close to the beach and Tavira. I think you need a car but the hotel has bikes for guests to use. The pool is very nice too.

Absolute paradise. We could not have been happier. What a perfect spot for a restful retreat! The stunning grounds, saltwater pool, and verandas were lovely for sitting out and reading a book. We kept marveling at the delicious smell of oranges drifting through the air, and just felt eons away from work and responsibility. Staff were friendly, present, and super accommodating. Breakfast was marvelous, including fresh fruit from the farm, homemade granola, delicious pastries, and more. The location was close to some darling little towns, just a 10-25 minute bike ride away. We enjoyed beaches, too. Highly recommended.

Quinta dos Perfumes is a beautiful place, the rooms are done beautifully, all new and clean. Everyone make you feel at home. The hotel is a close walk from Cabanas where you can find some nice restaurants or get a boat to Praia De Cabanas (€1,50) and it is also a close walk to Conceição train station where you can get a train to Tavira or Faro. We read all the other reviews before booking and we couldn’t agree more with all of them :)

It's a perfect haven for a restful long weekend break, amongst acres of orange trees and the smell of jasmine when you walk out is devine. Friendly staff and excellent buffet breakfast. The rooms are modern, clean and tastefully decorated. Highly recommend staying if you're within the Tavira region. I'm not sure you can find a better place than this!

The most amazing place! Nestled in these lovely orange groves, La Quinta dos Perfumes provides an idyllic spot to relax and refresh while you explore the fabulous beaches and the Rio de Formosa. The rooms are spacious and charming, the rooftop lounge is a perfect place for cocktails, the salt water pool is divine and the generous breakfasts are delicious. We fell in love with the staff and truly hated to leave this gracious oasis

I spent 6 days at Quinta on early September and loved everything. It's a brand new structure, sort of a boutique hotel with 6 rooms in the main structure.
The hotel is placed within a gorgeous orange plantation, can't even imagine how is being there in March/April! Very spacious rooms, the outside space (garden, terrace and pools) is big and well kept. The staff is very helpful (and they have a "secret list" of top notch restaurants in the area which you should try!); breakfast is 100% home-made (and cakes are superb), and there's little they can do to improve.
I assume you already booked your stay (and you should), but if you read all the reviews to find something negative (as I do) here's the list of minor things I didn't like.
1. it was very hard not to wet everything outside the shower in room #6;
2. they have bicycles to go to the beach (which is great), but 3 of the 4 I tried had something broken or were unstable
3. on the initial 2 days, the room cleaning happened way too early, at breakfast time
4. the restaurants' secret list missed a great place, Casa da Igreja in Cacela Veha (which we visited 3 times after beach time)
