Great Location, brilliant service (the owner had taken time out to ask if everything was OK, a great touch) and room was clean and comfortable. Great choice on the food menu as well.

My Husband and I staged here this weekend. David was a fantastic host. The food was plentiful, amazing and a very good price. Breakfast was also amazing. For me a found the pillows great for watching TV for the support, but a bit too hard for sleeping, but the bed was comfy and the sheets were soft. I am always very cold but I was very warm at the bulls head. The shower was huge and powerful. Our room had a large free fire exit sign above our door. This illuminated green and at night it made our room quite bright, with no way to make the room dark. For me I found this difficult to sleep as I like a really dark room. This is just for info for others, not a criticism by any means. We live quite close so will definitely be returning for the fantastic food.

Great place to stay overnight. Lovely room only hampered by a very stiff door mechanism and a broken bath plug. Room great quality, lots of drink options including extra bottled water, and a very comfy bed and large TV. Breakfast excellent and the staff couldn't have been nicer, both on arrival and in the morning. Plan to use for future visits to the area.

This booking was delightful, I could park safely and the welcome was warm and friendly. The room was fine for a short stay being warm and comfy. The evening meal was very good, the service attentive and caring for a lone female traveller. The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was definitely FULL. All in all the Bulls Head was a good find!

We stayed for a night and enjoyed it. Lovely place. While the building is really old it is well looked after and the quality of all the finishing touches just make the place nice. Great staff. Had a good breakfast cooked for us in the morning, felt more like a B&B. Great place to stay. The only downside was the bed being a bit firm for our liking and the pillows could use an upgrade. It was a small twin bed but that was fine for us as we are smaller people. All in all though a great place to stay while travelling through

Stayed for one night whilst visiting Calke Abbey and the National memorial arboretum. Friendly welcome, quiet and comfortable room and nice evening meal. Good breakfast to set us up for our day. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you to Dave and the team at the Bulls Head.

Beautiful pub and rooms are very clean and well presented. Cooked breakfast was great, but it’s a shame they offer no fruit, yogurt or pastries. Cereals are also kept in the kitchen so you don’t know what they offer. Will definitely stay again but breakfast options and presentation could be improved.

Super friendly, clean and comfortable with tea, water provided. A very good, generous breakfast with muesli, fruit or full English options. We had a pleasant stay for two nights.

Lovely place to stay. Very quiet. The staff are amazing, very friendly and go out of their way to make our stay perfect. Breakfast is lovly and many choices. Very happy with our stay and slept like logs. Thank you all at The Bull for everything

Check in was delayed as Inn was closed when I arrived, and owners busy sorting kids from school, but when seen, the check in was quick and efficient. Room very comfortable, and food very good - only downside being they did not accept company Amex card.

Could not fault my stay at all, the owners are wonderful, very welcoming and really chatty. The rooms are great value and the food is fantastic!

2nd stay at the Bulls Head and it did not disappoint us. It has everything we needed. Becky & Doug were great hosts, food was great and plentiful. Worthy of a 3rd visit when we return to the UK.

Very friendly pub. Room had excellent facilities. Dinner menu had lots of variety and well cooked. Although restaurant was very busy service was good. Great breakfast! Would stay again!

We were staying in the area for a family engagement party. We contacted the staff st the Bulls head and they let us check in early which was very helpful. Rooms were nice an comfortable. We had a midday meal an of course the breakfast. Both very good quality and generous portions. The owners and staff were very helpful throughout the stay

The owners are the most lovey warm hearted people made us feel like we were home with family, fantastic stake asked for rare and it was plus the stillton sause was to die for wish we could off eatten more while we were there but we came for Download Fest stayed for 4 nights , and the bulls head is a little gem ,only down side they only have 4 rooms to rent so you have to be quick .x.
