This is 4th stay for me.
The former 3 stays were very nice, so I came back to this hotel.
At reception, he was kindly to prepare the upgraded room.
The room was with 3 bed rooms, larger, so the price must higher than that I reserved.
However, I was just only one, so no meaning.
And room condition was worse compared with the room I stayed 3 weeks ago.
More dirty, older, and need more times to get hot water. So, by all means completely lower quality.
This must be downgrade.
(Might be according to wrong booking management)
Even this upgrade was not dissatisfied, I will believe it might be only this time.

Last year, I chose this hotel, and decided to change my regular hotel in DAR to this!
The condition was so good, and I enjoyed the city view through the big wind!
Hotel staffs had enough hospitality, and especially house keeper always responded to my request.
This year, I stayed this hotel for 2 days in August, and (after 2 weeks in Arusha), will come back to this hotel again in September!
Only small things I would require are as follows;
1. a bit hard to find as it locates not along the main street.
2. elevator is always busy.
3. the wind is a bit dirty (I understand it is hard to clean, but it might catch customer's eye as the wind is so big.)

Good location, central. An oasis in the middle of the city.

The area was the heart of the city so it’s gonna be noisy. It’s gonna be crowded. It’s gonna be a little dirty but at night the streets got amazingly cleaned. Still felt safe would definitely stay there again.

I had a wonderful time in my room in the 17th floor. The accommodation was luxurious and everything went very smoothly. I will definitely get a room there again the next time I am in Dar Es Salaam!

Good basic place. Helpful staff. Great location if you have stuff in the city center.
The 15th floor corridor has a loud phone to call housekeeping staff. It’s annoying and disturbs one’s sleep. The hotel should find a better system to reach their staff that does not disturb its guests.

The room was smelling stuff COz the aircondition is not working optimal. Considering the price range i expected that every thing was functional. House keeper gave only 2 towels ! No hand towel and no mat towel !!
Worst of all i killed 3 big coachroaches !!

Depending on the room location (preferably downstairs/ground floor) the room is reasonably confortable. There are however a lot of insects in the room due to short doors.
The service overall is impeccable which makes a one night stay great overall.

Very friendly and helpful staff! We got great help with getting tickets to the Zanzibar Ferry and taxis. Excellent food in the restaurant-try the curry!! Amazing views from the roof terrace and good location-close to most places.

I was disappointed by the quality of the room. The beds were not very comfortable and seemed to be cheap spring mattresses. The wi-fi was intermittent. The power went out several times during the stay. The water from the shower sprayed onto the floor in PUDDLES leaving a mildewy smell in the bathroom all the time. The room and bathroom were old with many unsightly plaster patches in the walls. And worst of all, it rained while we were there and rain poured into the room to the point we had to move our suitcases off the floor and put towels in front of the windows.
My mate said other Golden Tulip properties were MUCH better than this one, and we even contemplated moving hotels. Also, the hotel is only 4 or 5 floors in the property and the rest is business offices, apartments and retail shops.

The hotel is well places in the City Center, walking distance to most commercial facilities and dine-out places.
Staff is nice and helpful.
Breakfast is simple and good, with great view of the city.
The provisions for toilet (towel etc) wasn't changed regularly, but had to be asked for.

House keeping department should make sure their jobs are done properly, Toiletries are restocked, making sure Towels, Bedsheets and Pillowcases are changed whenever cleaning is done. I had to keep asking.

My only complaint with this place is there was no local food on the room service menu. My first night i had to eat burger and fries. Also if you are a drinker this is a dry hotel( absolutely no Alcohol). Its centrally located which made it easy for ubers and taxies and lots of local food all around. The staff is also very very friendly and helpful. The best part however were the views of the city.

I like the location, in the centre of the city, but it can be hectic and it won´t be for everyone. My only criticism is that it is a big tall building with offices occupying many of the floors. The rooms start on the 15th floor. There are only 3 lifts (elevators) and they were often busy, so getting up and down can take a while. They are also small and cramped - not for everyone during Covid.
