Adele was the perfect host. This quaint B & B is very well presented. We stayed in the Great Burnett room which was beautifully decorated. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay outside of York this is the place for you. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We stayed in the Cornflower room. Very impressed with all of the thoughtful extras included from milk in the fridge a variety of beverages, bath salts etc. Adele was a lovely host, very helpful with local information. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend and will return if in the area.

Adele is the perfect host, very welcoming and helpful in recommending local attractions & restaurants. It’s the second time we visited in the space of a year. This time we stayed in the Cornflower room, which was equally as beautiful as the Poppy room. Without doubt we’ll only stay there in the future, as our stays have been faultless

We booked this as it popped up on Hotels.com as Pet Friendly, and only AFTER booking, we received an email saying that only one room was pet friendly. We frantically contacted Hotels.com who tried to get in contact with the property for us immediately so that we could either change the room, or get a refund, however they couldn't get through and told us to try direct with them the next day. We tried contacting them again the next day, both emailing and calling the property & had no response. We tried to book the pet friendly room separately afterwards, and it turns out this had ALREADY been taken, meaning this listing shouldn't have appeared as pet friendly in the first place. It's now been over 3 weeks since we were meant to go, and we have still yet to hear back from the property who have now basically "stolen" our money. We've filed a dispute with our bank to try and get our money back, as this should have been very clearly stated, and we never got to go on this trip. Not a great experience for what seemed like a lovely place we wish we could've gone to.

Adele the owner is a superb host. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she runs a lovely b and b. Will stay again in not too distant future.

Excellent base for exploring with a great host. Harmony House is a lovely property overlooking the green next to the local church, very peaceful. Poppy room was spacious and comfortable. Adele's breakfasts were excellent and she was able to give us advice on local restaurants. Stay here!
