I always stay at this location when coming to Huntsville to visit friends and family. It has a good breakfast in the morning and clean and safe rooms.

Everything appeared clean except the carpets because if you walked barefoot the bottom of feet would get dirty quickly. Other than that everything was good and no issues during stay.

The front desk attendant, Tamyra, was wonderful. She was helpful, friendly and hospitable!

Check in for this hotel was a nightmare. Wanted to charge $30 to check in 40 mins early at 1pm. We decided to wait and when we went up to the front desk I was told we had to wait 4 mo it’s because it wasn’t “exactly” 1:00pm. Literally made us wait the 4 minutes. When we got to our room it wasn’t ready, linens were on the floor, trashcan turned over. So essentially would have charged us $30 to check in early to a room that wasn’t even ready. Went back downstairs and were told housekeeping was on a break. The absolute worst customer service. Contacted general manager and she was more respectful and listened but nothing was done to correct it.

Manager Tonya Washington was very nice and helpful. She was under a lot of pressure with storm and everyone's power out but managed to help us all. She really went above and beyond. Definitely stay there from now on staff was amazing and nice.

Upon check in I had to wait in the lobby for a little over an hour and a half because the system was down and I was unable to get my room key. I had to wait for the manager to arrive before successfully checking in. I also placed a complaint about the television not working and received no assistance on the matter.

The first room I was put in, the room was humid and the AC unit was rattling I went downstairs and they switched me to another room.
The second room I walked and was underwhelmed, but no big deal. The bed & mattress are probably well bedtime their lifespan. When you lay on the mattress you can feel the intentions of prior guests and very squeaky.
The next day I went to take a shower and noticed a hair on the grab bar and as I looked around I started noticing hair everywhere. Then I looked down and noticed the soap scum ring around the tub. This grossed me out but at this point I’d already stayed one night and had no intention of taking a bath, so I just left it alone. The morning I checked out, I woke up with spider bites all over my body, which landed me in urgent care.
I travel often, so I’m rather reasonable in expectations, but things just kept stacking up this trip that I can’t let this one go. I’m embarrassed that I paid money to stay here.

The staff welcomed our small group with smiles and joy. The cookies were a very nice thing to offer us. I had explained, that I still was a Honors Member, but booked through hotels.com and they made sure I still got my points.

The hotel was good we have stayed here before and thought it was wonderful. This time the room was still comfortable but the heater was noisier. We ended up turning it off. But I think this is just the room that you get because have not noticed in the past

We stay at this hotel often because we have kids and grandkids who live in the town. We have always had a great experience there when we have stayed before. This time the staff at the front desk was a guy and a girl and the guy seemed to be training. He said the usual "no smoking, etc" that they normally say and then added under his breath "and don't steal anything" and laughed. That is not how guest to your hotel should be treated.

I don't like that there are no microwaves in the rooms. For this reason, I will not choose Hampton again.

Got a call day of checkin stating that they never received payment from Expedia, so if I wanted to keep my reservation they needed cc payment over the phone. Staff, Donna, told me to handle issue with Expedia. I had to argue and handle issue myself even though Hampton staff knew what the issue was in regard to virtual card from Expedia.
Breakfast was horrible. Even the yogurt was inedible due to them serving it frozen. Coffee was super weak. We didn’t have a phone in our room, the bathroom door was very difficult to slide open and close, and I found a quarter size cookie crumb upon entry to our room first day.
The late night front desk workers were very nice, but we will not be staying at this Hampton Inn next time we are in town. We have used Expedia for 15 years with no issue, and this was like pulling teeth to get resolved with us doing the majority of the legwork. If you don’t want to use Expedia at your hotel, don’t offer it. Telling me “this is why we don’t recommend using third party to book” after I’ve already booked at your hotel is completely nonsensical and useless information. Totally unimpressed overall but the payment issue was incredibly frustrating.

I wanted to book an inexpensive place to stay on the way to the galveston pier, to avoid such a long drive the day of a cruise (to be clear: this is not down the street from the pier, nor I intend it to be). It fit the bill for cost. But it was the most bargain basement hotel experience I’ve ever had. I shared a room with my daughter. I was a little worried our bed wasn’t clean. The room was brown and dated - no frills at all. (Like the rest of the hotel). Completely lacking in anything that would make it welcoming - just furniture and cheap carpet. There were 2 elevators to the second floor, where we stayed. Both were very dated and slow (sketchy).
Check in experience was not great. There were 2 stations but only one person working. The hotel had a problem synching with payments made through third party travel sites like Expedia, which the people in front of us had also used. The poor guy working was trying to figure out how to enter a deposit for them forever. Finally a manager came out from a room 3 feet away and helped him. My daughter and I stood there with our luggage in a very small and cramped lobby for about 20 minutes, while people coming and going tried to get around us.
We tried to eat the free breakfast. We had to eat after we left. The food was gross, and the whole dining area felt unclean.
The room itself did have a few “pros” - there was a refrigerator for snacks we had from the gas station and a coffee maker.
Would not recommend.

Service was excellent. Air conditioning was awful. Mattress should have been replaced long ago

Staff friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. But it was noisy, could hear people rooms next to us and above, as well as outside.
