Small room no air-conditioned good breakfast

We loved this hotel. The situation was great, staff helpful and friendly and the view to die for. Unfortunately, on the first night a group of campervans and parked in the car parking spaces at the front of the hotel overnight and partied until 2or 3 am so it was very difficult to sleep. Not the hotels fault and I guess a risk you take at a seaside resort. Breakfast was great and cooked to order and the bar staff very helpful indeed. Thoroughly pleasant stay.

Beautiful stay at Whistable, really enjoyed the property and the area. It was very hot when we stayed and no air conditioning in the room so we did have trouble sleeping, however the place is gorgeous and such a fantastic view. Staff were excellent too!

Great location, friendly staff and lovely breakfast included in our stay. It was very hot when we stayed and the rooms didn’t have any form of fan or air con so it got very stuffy in the night. Other than that, it was the perfect stay.

Unfortunately the chief was missing for 2 nights. Also they had not made any plans for my being lactose intolerant. We had a lovely view from our room. Breakfast was good but no alternative for butter. Evening meal again was not as we hoped. Staff where very very busy but did all they could

Fantastic view from balcony, so very special being able to watch the sunset. The hotel gives good value for money, with breakfast included and a short walk to the harbour market. It is quite an old hotel, so you can hear people moving around all night - if a light sleeper you will likely be disturbed. Bathroom could have done with a blind as the room got light at 5am which was a shame, otherwise a comfortable room.

Nice friendly place that seems to provide a lot of local employment. Staff seemed happy and were helpful. The room and bathroom were on the smaller side, but it's an old building, not much they can do about that. Big balcony and wonderful sea view. Breakfast was good mix with cereal, fruit and hot food. They even did some veggie sausages specifically for us. The evening food seemed expensive. But there are plenty of other places to choose.

We had a very good stay the room was excellent with great view of the sea. The breakfast was very good and all staff encountered during the stay were friendly and helpful.

Lovely overnight stay. Room was small, but sufficient for our needs. We had booked just a standard room so knew it was not going to be large. Good quality toiletries and coffee/teas as well as chocolate biscuits provided ! Everything very clean. Bar and restaurant tastefully decorated. Breakfast - good selection and good quality. Just about all of the staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly, apart from the chap on reception at midday when we arrived, who did not appear very welcoming at all. Perhaps he was having a bad day. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is conveniently situated for both the town and the beach. Check in was pleasant and, as we were a little early, we were able to park in the hotel car park until our room was ready. Our hotel room was very small but clean. We had difficulty opening the windows as the sash windows have to be pulled down from the top of the window. As both of us are not very tall, I had to stand on the bed or the bath to open a window – not ideal when in your mid 60’s. We discovered on our last day that the bottom sash window could be opened but it tilts inwards and takes up a lot of space making it very difficult to move around the room and also pointless as the bedroom window had wooden shutters so it would be impossible to open the window at night at the same time keeping your privacy. Breakfast was fine if you like a full English buffet but choice was very limited if you don’t. Cereals were available with toast, croissants and fresh whole fruit (no fruit salad). My wife is vegetarian and the choice of breakfast for her was very limited. Our bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable so we did not sleep very well. Our room and presumably all others did not have carpets or rugs, just a solid floor, we could hear toilets flushing etc in other rooms. On our last morning, we were woken a little before 06:00 by heavy footsteps, drawers opening and closing and other noises from the room above.

Hotel right on the beach slightly out of Whitstable main town. Nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast was nice, although lacked variety. Bedrooms are TINY. Literally too small for two people to stand in some cases. Most rooms are accessed by a very steep very narrow staircase which I struggle to carry my case up. We booked many months in advance for a weekday wedding in May and were given the rooms furthest from reception on the highest floor. Square footage-wise, not good value for money. It was however clean and public areas were nice. Staff were pleasant.

Perfect location with parking. Amazing family suite - practically an apartment! Great staff. Lovely bar overlooking the sea. Could do with a few more cold breakfast options (ham/cheese). Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic sea view, well located for the wedding we were joining over the weekend. Nice bar, really good breakfast and very helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again when we visit the area.

Hotel only had 6 bays for parking so we had to pay over £12 to park. Room was very small. Food good location good staff good

Wonderful hotel and staff

We have stayed here before. It was a good location. However the room was very small.

Clean, modern and comfortable. Don't know what to say about eco- as not sure what criteria to use. I didn't eat there so can't comment on that. Directly opposite the beach but 10 min walk to shops. A park one side and industry the other side.

Staying for a couple of days whilst visiting friends and family. Perfect location. Comfortable and clean room. Sea view. Friendly staff. Great bar.

The beds were so uncomfortable. The room was small and a little basic. The breakfast was good but a really long wait to be served. Staff were nice enough. I wouldn’t return.

We had a good stay at the hotel. Parking is free and there were plenty of spaces. The room was compact but perfectly fine and nicely decorated. Hotel decor is stylish. Reception organised a cab for us. We had drinks in the hotel but did not eat there as had other plans. It was slightly noisy in the room from guests on the floor above but that is often the case in hotels. Would stay again and would recommend.

Lovely hotel, nice staff, nice rooms although bed was a bit squeeky, Great views of the sea and great location. 2nd time here and will definitely come again.

Very pleasant - friendly staff, good food, good service, lovely view

Check in was allowed an hour early as room was ready which was appreciated, check in was efficient but not what I would call friendly or welcoming just businesslike. Room was super clean, very small but great with an outside balcony. Had lunch there, seafood chowder was excellent. Everything was fine but really noisy housekeeping staff in the morning. Great to hear happy laughing staff but it was pretty loud. We enjoyed our stay and yes would stay again.
