The No Name Rest is in a great location only about 200 metres from the Unawatuna Beach. Also it is off the very busy main road so quieter than a lot of places in the town! John the Australian owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. The service and breakfast were a bit laid back but OK.

Marvellous stay at Thaulle Resort, which is convenient for both Yala and Bundala National Parks = both of which are amazing.The Reception team were very friendly and check-in straightforward.Our room was not large but comfortable, with a great view over the lake. Decor was tastefully style, verging on the cool.Thaulle Resort also hosts a spa which many of the guests used and there is a very chilled atmosphere.The food was great and fair value - excellent curries and Western options. Dinner is outside in a romantic setting. Wine is expensive compared to all hotels that we stayed in = some 5 star.A fair sized pool but in a lovely setting and never.crowded. It was never a problem to get a sun bed in the well planted gardens.In summary a relaxed, tasteful, boutique hotel with great staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. I do not hesitate to recommend..

The property was nice but a little out of the way. Even though food was fairly good we weren’t really able to try other restaurants.

This is an amazing place. Everything is superb. Would highly recommend it.

We where couple and they offer us two single beds sticked to each other which was horrible. Breakfast fast was very very limited. Our building is up to 4 floors and there were no elevator. Welcoming was good stuff were friendly. Nice lake view. Dinner food was average.

It was my wife's birthday and when I mentioned it to the hotel staff, they went out of their way to help us celebrate... From chilling a special bottle of champagne we brought with us... to organizing an amazing birthday dinner and celebration for us. They really made it a special time for us! Facilities and food are fantastic too!

Just lovely...can't recommend enough. We had a beautiful room and bathroom with a view of the lake. Dinner served outside under the mango trees was a delight - gorgeous!

Super views. Will come again. Close enough to Kataragama.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The King Suite was beautiful with a top view of the lake. A complimentary foot massage was divine. The food here was excellent: all a la carte, spicy, and delicious and dinner in the garden was simply delightful, especially as there were no mosquitoes. Thanks to the staff for mosquito sticks at every table.

Great hotel with beautiful view! The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and everything sorted to make our time their enjoyable. Special dinner in the evening was brilliant, good fun for our honeymoon.

We really enjoyed the stay at this hotel and it was one of the best we stayed at during our travel in Sri Lanka. The service is great, and staff so friendly and welcoming, food, both dinners and breakfast were also very good, some of the best food we got on our travel. I loved how they serve dinner outside on the lawn in the evenings, so beautiful. Rooms have a great view over the lake, and we got an upgrade when we came, so we also got an open balcony with the beautiful lake view, loved sitting there and enjoyed both room service lunch meals there, and an evening sunset beer. The room was big, with a big bathroom and very clean. The hotel also arranged a safari driver for us. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling the area.

Great hotel with friendly service

We should have spent more time here, because it was the perfect place to relax. Great food and nice views make this an easy choice for a place to unwind after visiting the park. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for at all times.

We had three very peaceful quiet days st the Thaulle. Our room was large and well appointed. The bathroom huge and the best body products I have had in a Hotel. Food was very tasty and the menu varied. The pool was small but very lovelly sitting around in the shade of the trees.

Lovely hotel in very tranquil setting next to Lake Yoda The food and service are excellent with great attention to detail. Spa services are very professional. Lovely rooms and designer bathrooms.

We visited in the off season so the hotel was very quiet but that made it even better as it felt like a private holiday home. Great location on the lake, fantastic facilities, amazing furniture and décor. Huge bathroom. Food was al la carte as there were so few guests but this made it fresh, plentiful and delicious. Would definitely stay again
