An attractive small ‘slightly quirky” traditional hotel,- so much better than the modern sanitised hotel chains.Location excellent, overlooking the sea, yet close for the ferry and for the “old” town.
It was the staff however who were the stars!
Lucie at Reception was delightful and most professional, whilst in the Dining Room Eliza was simply sensational. Her bubbly personality and excellent service made our final night in France one to remember.

It was very convenient hotel to stay in. Two steps from the beach, parking included, the breakfast was good, the view of the beach from the restaurant was to die for

Les Charmettes was a treasure to find. Located on the waterfront/promenade with superb views and immediate access to a superb beach.
All of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast (an extra charge but well worth it) was delightful. There is a small fee for parking on site but highly recommended. There is a bistro attached to the property and we had a very pleasant meal and had aperitifs overlooking the beach. We walked downtown to St. Malo proper for dinner one night…. About 20 minutes each way which allowed us to absorb the flavor of the area/town without having to stay in town.
I highly recommend and will definitely return.

Our stay at Hotel Les Charmettes was fabulous! It's right on the beach, the rooms are clean and well decorated (love all the great design features throughout the property), staff is super friendly and eager to give you all the recommendations to make your trip a success. The shops close by are very convenient (love the bakery across the City Carrefour). The walk from the hotel to downtown Saint-Malo was very memorable! Great stay in a very charming city!

Great location with a friendly bar/restaurant just outside, by the sea. Excellent yet simple breakfast with local products. Only complaint: top floor rooms (#7) is *not* for adults over 6 feet, like me. Beams on each side of the window are a killer in the dark.

Property is in a fabulous location right on the beach. Rooms are clean, newly renovated and the whole property is quirky, full of great design features (art, wallpaper, lights etc.) and the restaurant, bar and breakfast are great.

Parking is a major issue. Took me 25 minutes to find a spot as the 8 spaces on site were reserved

We stayed there in late October and had a great time. We wish that we could have stayed longer and we may have to come back when the weather is warmer. We had some issues related to our rental car and Lea was absolutely fabulous in helping us resolve our problems. She went above and beyond her job to assist us with communication, booking train tickets and much more. She was an angel for us!

The hotel room was small for 3 people. The beach front restaurant was exceptional both food and service. Breakfast was nicely done. If you book thru Hotels.com and need parking please specify otherwise you won’t get a parking space.

We had a room in the building behind te main building which was small but clean. the bathroom was small to but also clean, the shower was eco friendly so it gave little water but is was ok.
The restaurant at beach side is very nice, friendly staff.

Opens out onto the promenade, you eat your breakfast looking at the sea, lovely popular terrace restaurant in high season, comfy rooms. Charming!

We had stayed at this hotel before in a sea view room which was lovely. This time we had a courtyard view room and it was extremely hot and stuffy, despite having the window open, a very uncomfortable night. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant menu limited but the food tasty.

Very comfortable hotel with parking. We used it as an overnight stop, enabling us to catch the ferry the following morning. We were not able to have dinner as it was booked out. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, it was excellent. The staff were very friendly, we would certainly stay there again and book dinner in advance.

Overheated room in summer ! Very unpleasant and disappointing situation whereas we were staying with a baby. Opening the windows doesnt change anything, except bringing in mosquitoes from court side (certainly not a garden). Way in is not convenient at all if you have any trolley or suitcase (gravels). No elevator. Besides a few rooms with sea view, you certainly wont have any holidays feeling.

Really nice location on the sea front however the room we were in was in a different building just opposite the one with the terrace and restaurant so no sea view. Room was a little basic and tired and would have benefited from air con as it was very stuffy. But it was a characterful place, Ideal if you want to stay outside of the city area and take the short journey in.

We needed an overnight stop before catching the ferry. This hotel where we have stayed once before provided just what we needed. We have booked again for August.

The owner & his staff were excellent & waited up for our very late arrival.
We would not hesitate to stay there again.

A lovely view, our November visit coincided with high tide and we witnessed amazing waves with high winds while we were warmly sitting in our room. We also watched the many kite surfers zipping around on the bay in the afternoon - great fun. The room is compact, but perfect for the two of us on a short stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. Breakfast was delicious with excellent pastries, breads, meat, cheese, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc. The staff was also wonderful and helped us with dinner reservations at a wonderful restaurant. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

We stayed in a family triple room overlooking the beach, fantastic view from room, literally 50m from the sea at high tide. In garden overlooking the sea is the bistro, whilst expensive, the food was excellent. Luckily we booked a table as it was a Saturday evening they were extremely busy. Breakfast was served in the bar/dining area again overlooking the beach, usual pastries, cereals and eggs, cheese ham etc. Very comfy bed and friendly staff.
