The rooms were quite clean & the staff members were quite good & helpful, but I did not like the after hours way out of the hotel. It was smelly and had dirty water to hop over. The rooms with shared amenities are not properly positioned. Kids will have to pass through the pub to get to their rooms.

We stayed in a pub room upstairs (no.3) and it was great value. We stayed 2 nights for $115, and we were very pleased with everything. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the showers (shared) were great. There was a bit of traffic noise as we were on the road side (which you'd expect as its on the highway), but if you shut the blind, it muffled it quite well. But we like waking up in a light room, so before we went to sleep, we opened the blind and put on our trusty white noise app and had no trouble sleeping. A great place to stay that was super easy on the wallet and so close to the lovely Pokolbin.

Water pump kept me awake all night. Don't book rooms 6,7 or 8. Shame, everything else was fine, but I had to abort my stay.

You literally step from your room into the beer garden. The pool table is also in the beer garden. It was obvious we would not be able to sleep here so we left and found other accommodation. We did consider asking for a room upstairs but those rooms overlook the main road which is very busy with noisy heavy vehicles.

Basic property, but good service. The experience has been mixed. 1. We were given a room that, although indicated ensuite, was not so. 2. The AC in the room was too weak and we were given a fan. 3. We were moved to a new room with an ensuite, but the AC was still weak with very slow cooling. 4. We found spiders in teh room, which we were able to exterminate! 5. On the last day, the room was not made up and, on hindsight, teh cleaners used the room without cleaning as I found the TV running when I got back and the pillows arranged differently than when I left it! The on-premises stuff were quite helpful and the food delicious. When you order the linguini, order extra chilli flakes and salt. :-) I would recommend it!

The accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable. Great shower.

Entry and exit via emergency doors only, need a scan entry door from street. Entry via inside of Hotel one way, side entry to the stair well was from 30 m muddy side entrance from the back carpark. The upstairs entry, an ajar emergency door again from the balcony was via rickety set of stairs to the front street. Up stair Hotel rooms meet fire regulations but not customer needs, cheers Grant

For what we required it was good. Could have done with one more blanket as it was Winter and one blanket on a bed is not enough. A little noisy up till 11pm but then everything went quite.

Food was good. 1 bedroom room was nice & clean but OMG 1 blanket on each bed in the middle of winter was ridiculous. 3 adults ended up in rhe double bed for warmth.Note to hotel.Put electric blankets on the beds or a 2nd blanket on each bed. Wull stay again but not in winter........

Pretty good for the price. You certainly won’t get cheaper anywhere in the Hunter. Comfy bed, clean shared bathroom. Good having own fridge in the room. Traffic noise from the highway was an issue in my room upstairs at front. Window would not shut properly which didn’t help - especially when other guests smoked on the upstairs balcony. Staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent.
