Superb staff at the desk. Friendly and highly competent.

My wife and stayed here during our first visit to Malta (November 2023) I was in communication with the hotel staff by email prior to our arrival who were very helpful to arrange transportation to the hotel from the airport. They were also very helpful to arrange and book a tour to the islands of Gozo and Comino. (Highly recommend) What we liked about this hotel was that as a boutique hotel it was well maintained and the breakfast included was very nice. I cannot stress that the wonderful staff made us feel comfortable and welcomed. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance as well as the harbor.

Excellent stay! Wonderful staff, relaxed atmosphere, incredible spa, lovely breakfasts & minutes walk away from the harbour waterfront, dining & shops. The perfect location in the historic beautiful city of Valletta. Stunning hotel.

What a find! Beautiful boutique hotel in Valletta. From the moment that we arrived we were greated with smiles from all of the hotel employees. Nothing was a problem. Highlights include the spa with hot tub in the historic cistern and steam room (private as you book an hour slot ach day); lovely rooftop pool and terrace area for drinks and sunbathing, birthday breakfast treat. Room was comfortable and kept the charm of the traditional maltese style. Teens were treated like adults and really enjoyed their stay. We loved the location just off the touristy street but close to beautiful restaurants - we loved the red door restaurant around the corner. We also ventured out of Valletta to Birgu and Mdina and arranged a boat trip to see the coast - all brilliant days out and easily navigated to. Hopefully we will make it back sometime. I would certainly recommend this hotel!

The Palazzo Consiglia - IK Collection is very good and very strategic in the middle of Valetta. Will stay there again if we go back to Malta.

The only thing I would say is I didn’t realise our room had no external window so quite dark but saying that we did not spend much time in room and lovely roof top area to sit with beautiful roof top pool, great spa as well which you could book for couple use, we had a lovely stay!

Architecture and decor are fantastic. Staff are attentive and responsive. Bathroom (and bedroom) general lighting could be improved. A place I will recommend to others.

We had a 6 night stay and would highly recommend Palazzo Consiglia. It has an excellent location to explore Valetta and Malta and has an old world charm. Most importantly, the entire staff was excellent. We were going to list each of them, but unfortunately lost the sheet on our return to the US. We are very experienced international travelers, and this is just the kind of hotel we particularly enjoy.

A beautiful hotel, and lovely room, but the customer service was so genuinely wonderful it overshadowed everything else. We highly recommend this hotel for its amazing staff and fantastic location.

I booked this hotel based on the many wonderful reviews, and sadly, I was disappointed. While it is a beautiful building, inside and out, beauty does not equal comfort. I had an 'interior' room, which per the other reviews here state, have no window and felt like a beautiful tomb. Very little light, claustrophobic, etc. Furthermore, the AC unit is controlled by the front desk and apparently controls the entire floor. The temps were in the 60's, and the hotel had the heat on, making my room hot and stuffy. When I asked to turn the heat off and AC on, I was told that they usually cannot accommodate that since it controls the entire floor. Somehow they managed to make the switch to AC, but in the middle of the night, the night manager must have switched it back to heat, as I awoke in a sweat and had to go downstairs and ask for adjustment once again. I was told it 'would change the temperature for everyone on the floor,' and I felt as though I should not have even made this request. Lastly, from these interior rooms, you can hear absolutely everything from the main floor below, so mornings started early as the breakfast room as set up. Instant alarm clock! I was so uncomfortable in this room unlike any other hotel room, and yet I kept feeling as though I should find this place 'exceptional' like so many others. Perhaps it is just me, but be aware that these interior rooms offer no glimpse into the outside world, are extremely stuffy and have no soundproofing.

Tony at Reception made my Son and I feel very welcome after our journey from London. The hotel is wonderful if you like boutique hotels, the rooms are a great size, breakfast is good, and the inside pool is fabulous. My Son and I had a great time in Malta and hotel team really went out of their way to contribute to that feeling.

Great place

Beautiful and chic hotel renovated 5 years ago in central historic Valleta. The location is not only convenient to all the major sights but it is a beautiful one indeed! When we walked in, we were welcomed by the manager, Tony, and he introduced all the amenities to us including a private jacuzzi and massage area that guests can book. I’m not sure if the is private service is available during high season since it’s low season now. The hotel’s lobby is beautifully decorated with a retractable roof that closes when it rains. The rooms are so unique and each room has a different theme, thus the different names of each room. The room floors are hardwood and the rooms are spacious with a comfortably padded. The hotel also provides complimentary water, coffee/tea, refrigerator, spa robes/slippers, and plenty of closet space. Tony, the manager, is very friendly and has plenty of suggestions on what we can do around the area. We are traveling around low season so it was raining one a few days. No worries tho since the hotel offers umbrellas and a spa to keep yourself busy if you are limited in outdoor activities. The only downside I would say would be the loud fan that you need to turn on if you get one of the interior rooms. The Interior rooms are more spacious but also get less ventilation so the fan was turned on quite often which caused difficulty in sleeping for me. Otherwise, friendly and impeccable grounds, staff, and amenities!
