I didn't like the way I was looked at based on my attire and to be informed that I needed a credit card to secure booking. Declined booking even though it was prepaid.

I stay at this property once a year and have done so for the past five years. The units are always immaculate and still look as good as new. Spacious accommodation with seperate lounge, bathroom and bedroom. Fantastic value

An amazing motel in a beautiful town - Whakatane. Such a pleasant surprise to discover both. Wish we’d had 2-3 nights here instead of only one. No complaints about the motel -it was super comfortable, clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Close to cbd, supermarket, restaurants, loads of cafe & coffee choices.

It was clean and easy walking distance to the township

Absolutely stunning! A big suite upstairs, top modern and had everything. Spacious room and gisant bedroom. Staff nice friendly and helpful.

We stayed at this motel for 2 nights over the xmas period. The managers/hosts are an absolutely lovely couple, who are friendly, courteous, informative, (the man there made us laugh over milk...) funny and most importantly a very professional mannerism. Hosts are great! The accomodation quarters are so comfortable, clean, spacious, awesome to stay here! We totally enjoyed our relaxing time here and would recommend to all. The bathroom is so spacious and clean. The bed oh my goodness its ultra comfortable with crisp clean sheets. I like my beds at accomodations to have that crispiness in the sheets then I know they are super clean and fresh. I/We loved it here and will come back again for sure!!! Thank you One88 Motel.

Great location, friendly and warm welcome, large and well appointed rooms. Excellent standard of cleanliness. Felt at home.

Its situated by a potentially busy road but you dont hear the traffic. It was quiet because of the double glazing. We were well taken care of. Staff were very helpful. Staff explained how different things in the room worked which was a awesome touch. Our room was clean, warm and spacious. Easy access to the fast food places and town and the beach was between 5 -10 mins away. We would definetly recommend this motel.

The accommodation itself looked great however the reception staff l, their customer service could use some real work we were expecting to be greeted with smiles or something like that but it almost felt as if we were a nuisance to the place and it felt like this right up until checkout. It ruined the stay for us completely and we would never stay again.

Nice, spacious room. Very clean and well kept. Loved having all the space in the room even just for two people. Comfortable bed! Amenities in room were of high quality and clean. Fast internet. Clean, clean clean. Space, space, space. Would highly recommend.

A Great location and despite being on busy roads was quiet thanks to the double glazing. The owners showed us to the unit and how everything worked - not many places do that.

Lovely welcome and very helpful, nice and quiet and good size rooms.

We received a warm welcome and were escorted to our room and all the facilities explained. The one bed apartment was very clean and well laid out. It had everything we needed for our stay. Walkable to a lot of trails and the river as well as the coast. Car parking on site was safe and convenient. There is some road noise but that is to be expected due to location and did not impact our stay. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance.
