Excellent value, spacious, close to the hot springs and very quiet.

Room has an infestation of box elder bugs, owner not too concerned. It was unsettling to have these flying & crawling around. Room was old badly in need on some upgrade. When asked if they had ice owner said there was ice for sale at reception - pretty bad when you have to buy ice. We were the only ones there. The owner really should get his big problem under control!

The owner and his wife were very nice, friendly and helpful. Motel was very close to the small town within walking distance. The 1st floor rooms don’t have ac because it was built in ground. I am not sure if it was stated in the motel description. Luckily, it wasn’t that hot and we had the fan running all night.

Radium is full of small, older,Mom and Pop motels. This was a nice place to stay with very nice people running it. They were helpful with places to see and places to eat. I would stay there again!

Mattress was broken down; sat on it and went into box xpring. Lamp shade was dirtier; bathroom needs work - paint off wall; not change of bedding or towels. Also we stayed for 3 days had coffee for one only without payment?
Motel manager told me he didn't have to give us anything and we were to clean and make beds

Place is an old and in need of updates. We were not told of charge for the dog by you until we got there.

Staff is as good as it gets. We were late arriving due to road conditions and they helped us get in and get a good night sleep.

I haven't stayed in a motel in years, but this one looked quaint in the photos. The person who greeted and checked me in was very friendly and helpful and even showed me my room. They give you an actual key instead of a key card, so that was different. The room had a fridge, coffee maker (with creamers in the fridge) and a decent size TV. The hot water took a while to get hot, but at least there was hot water. Carpets were stained in spots, but the overall cleanliness was just fine. Know that there is no air conditioning. It wasn't a particularly warm night the night I stayed or the fan they provide in the room probably wouldn't have been adequate to keep me cool.

Hotels.com booking was not in there systems. Both that visit and the following visit I have later this week. They still managed to get us a room for the night, like we booked at hotels.com and they managed to get me the stamps that I assumed I'd lose. They were very helpful and incredibly nice. You just don't get service like this from the corporations. Recommended to any families passing through radium.

Good location. Rooms are dated and were very stuffy. There is quite a bit traffic noise . Staff was great. Beautiful grounds

Tom, the office guy was great! The room was uncomfortably hot and the A/C could not keep up. Property needs an update/renovation.

Love this place! Really cute motel with lots of garden and flowering planters. The owner greets you upon arrival and his pride of, and knowledge of the area is remarkable. A truly lovely man. Room was spacious with nice bedding and towels and no detail overlooked. Town was great and just as friendly.

The Gables Motel is a nice place, set back from the road a bit so it's not noisy. The upper level is more private. Super friendly and helpful staff.

A lovely choice. Super friendly staff and really nice personal touches (like actual cream for your coffee in room). Nice table and chairs outside your door. Great way to meet great folks. Loved every minute of our stay.

The pictures for this hotel are of rooms on the upper level. It advertises as having air conditioned rooms but only the upper level rooms are airconditioned. Out of the numerous hotel/motels available during my stay, I picked this specifically for the location and having an air conditioner in my room. It was 35° that day, and after a long hot ride to Radium I was looking forward to an air conditioned room. Being on the lower level, facing the west and setting sun... Ibwas extremely disappointed that my room was not air conditioned. Other than this, the staff were extremely friendly amd the room was clean.

Nice motel with friendly staff. I wish customers would not smoke outside their rooms and use the smoking area provided. This issue was the only downside.
