This is a great little hotel, with very welcoming staff and a lovely cosy feel. It is close to the gardens, the markets and a lovely place to stay. The little bar and cafe are a great addition, we really enjoyed it and would stay again.

This was a very charming hotel run by a wonderful staff. The room was neat, cute, and full of thoughtful trinkets. The complimentary pajamas were super cozy! The area around the hotel is fantastic - super close to the Kanazawa castle, gardens, the Omicho market, and the Higashi Chaya district. Only a 15-20 minute walk from the train station, as well. Would definitely recommend staying here!

3.5/5. The hotel is a bit Hipster. The service was great. The staff was very friendly and able to help me have my luggage delivered to my next hotel in English. They also provide guides and recommendations. The location is also good. Next to the famous market and close to transportation. It’s also within a 30 min walk of most of the popular places. They similarly rent bikes. The room was big with a queen sized bed and relatively soft. Everything was clean. However, the bathroom was too small - my knees nearly touched the wall when I sat on toilet and I kept hitting the shower wall whenever I took a shower. For context, I am only 5’5 (165cm). They also do not provide toiletries as part of a sustainability effort (other than the body wash/shampoo/conditioner). They sell them for a low price, but the cotton pads were poor quality - I would recommend bringing your own. The WiFi isn’t great, my phone kept disconnecting. The tv does have Netflix. The walls are very thin. It is was not a big issue for me as far as sleeping, but I think it’s possible that I just got lucky and was surrounded by respectful neighbors. But it also made me subconscious about how much noise I might have been making when I was using the television. I didn't have a poor experience, but I would probably try a different place if I go back.

Great location, everything we wanted to see in Kanazawa was walkable. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. The cafe itself is really cool. The room was comfortable with everything we needed. It's a little bit dated, and the bathroom is small, but everything was perfectly clean and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others. Overall 5/5.

Hotel staff are kind and helpful.

Lovely rooms, cute and accommodating. Kettle and small fridge, comfy jammies, and a couple tea bags to start your day. Very convivial (and helpful!) staff, convenient location. I would rebook this place in a heartbeat!

One of my favourite experiences at a hotel. The room is as advertised, clean and comfortable but what made the hotel stand out was the amazing staff, the cafe/bar downstairs and the overall vibe of the place. Awesome music playing throughout and right next door to the market. Only a short walk to the other districts we wanted to visit too. If we have the opportunity to visit Kanazawa again, we will rebook here!

This hotel was one of the highlights to our trip. Small and quaint, this charming hotel left nothing to be desired. It was simple and small yet was comfortable and within easy walking distance to downtown and the fish market. The staff were hospitable and made the best coffee! Our only error was not staying here much longer- we'll be back hotel pacific and we look forward to our next stay

Very convenient to Kanazawa Castle and omicho market. Clean hotel, free water refills on the 1st floor , affordable bike rentals. The staff is very helpful and sweet. I asked one of the staff to borrow a knife to cut up my persimmons, and they helped cut it for me and served it on a plate for me. Wifi might be an issue, but other than that I had a good time.

Sweet place to stay with super nice staff. Their delicious hand-crafted ginger ale was the perfect way to start our Kanazawa stay! And the coffee was great too!

It was an excellent place to stay, it was within walking distance to everything! Many places close by to eat, and so many things to see and do! We had excellent Indian, Chinese, Taiwanese, as well as Japanese food. Although the room was small, it had everything you will need, also a place to wash your clothes! Hoping we will be able to come again!!

Great little hotel, I was very glad I chose to stay here. It is is a great location right by the market and within walking distance to all of the major attractions in Kanazawa. Very clean, great service, and there is coin laundry on site. The only negative is the rooms are a little dated and use a physical key, but given the price this feels like a very minor complaint. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The reception was super friendly and allowed early check-in on a very hot day. This was highly appreciated. They even turned on the air-con before I headed to the room, very lovely touch.

We ABSOLUTELY loved this hotel! From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and well cared for. The room was clean and cute (not very big, but that’s standard in Japan). A very kind lady at the reception helped me make a reservation at one of the tourist attractions (she actually used her personal phone - she didn’t have to and yet she did out of the kindness of her heart). We rented bikes from the hotel for a day which was a great decision since we could see much more in one day. Hotel is literally right next door to the fish market. Another bonus is cafe right in the lobby. Staff speaks excellent English - which we noticed is not standard in all hotels. We highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Kanazawa. We will certainly be back.

What a lovely hotel and I hope to return again! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Because the front desk also serves as a coffee shop there is always someone around if you have a question etc. We had a big request - for the hotel to book a reservation on our behalf at a busy restaurant on a Saturday night. They called on our behalf, got a last minute table and called up to our room when the restaurant was ready to receive us. There were little details about the hotel that really are memorable. The homemade ginger tea is delicious both on its own and as a cocktail. They provide comfortable pjs and toiletries like a toothbrush and toothpaste etc. bike rentals are affordable (¥200 for a couple hours and I think about 100 for each hour after) and first come first serve. Biking in Kanazawa was a trip highlight! The room was spacious considering previous places we stayed in Japan. It had a firm bed - I’m a westerner and had great sleeps! The room and hotel is quiet too. Quiet Jazz music in the hallways and has mid century modern vibe. Very attractive furnishings. Location: this hotel is steps from the market and a close walk to the castle gardens and geisha district. If you are travelling with the JR pass this includes two routes that go to the market from the train station. The hotel is a short bike ride to samurai district too. Lots of restaurants near by.

Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms

We LOVED staying at Hotel Pacific! Great location right by Ōmichō market and a quick walk to Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenroku-en. The room was super comfortable and cozy. The lobby is a functioning coffee shop with really kind staff. We hope to be back soon!
