Check in good. Very clean, if you’ve got a JR pass you’ll need an extra 150 yen pp to get to the station from ikebukuro. Very quiet hostel only problems are banging of doors and plastic bag rustlers!

The weather was good and the terrace seat was superb.

This is a very nice, affordable place to stay. In terms of price, you're probably not going to find another place in Tokyo this nice AND this inexpensive. Plus, it's only a few minutes to the train station, and there's a nice little bakery on the walk over (it's called Antendo). We were late for check-in, but luckily someone at the front was able to let us in. Be warned that after midnight, there won't be any staff at the front desk and the doors will be locked, so make sure you call in advance to make arrangements, otherwise it could get sticky if you have an evening flight in to the airport. However, check-in itself was quick, and he still took the time to thoroughly explain what we needed to know. It is slightly chilly inside, but the beds were cozy & warm. They even had a night lamp and USB plugins. The common room is a good place to relax. They had some manga, various books, some games, a TV, and shelves of helpful travel guides (in multiple languages too). The other guests were courteous of quiet hours, and we hit it off pretty well with a couple. There are safes available for small valuables, although the safes are in plain view of the ground floor window. Anyone peering in could easily see your combo. I had no concerns about things getting stolen, at least in this place, but make sure to be aware of your surroundings. My personal suggestion to the hotel would be to add a curtain to the window or something. I would definitely stay here again.

Beat hostel I’ve experienced so far! The location was close to a bakery, 7/11 and the train station. It was always clean and the beds were private, the staff were friendly I would definitely recommend!

You are staying outside of the main action of Tokyo, but it is a nice neighborhood and an easy enough commute into the city centre. There are lots of convenience stores close by and a few restaurants. The hostel and bathrooms were always kept super clean. The only downside to our stay was the noise from other guests. The hostel bedroom does not have a door, and the walls do not completely reach the ceiling. That means you hear everyone thumping down the hallway and using the bathroom, or slamming doors. If the room was properly sealed, it probably wouldn't be too bad. However the design of the building means all the noise amplifies and echoes. The lounge area is great, it is downstairs away from the rooms and has plenty of space.

The common area was quite excellent. Loved the closeness to the subway line and enjoyed the more residential feel of where it was located. Greatly enjoyed it and highly recommended!

Very near to metro station, and there are a few restaurant that opens till late night as well as convenient store. Inside your own bed, they had USB port to charge your devices. Been to a few hostel and only a few provide USB port. Aside, they had mini safe in the lobby which you may lock your valuable inside. There's also washing machine and dryer too! But do take note, you need to pay to use and buy detergent from them as well. Aside, the staff speaks English and were really friendly and helpful. I was traveling from Fuji side to Tokyo and was gonna missed the check-in time. Called and the staff was kind enough to extend their check-in time for me, greatly appreciate that. One thing was their female bathroom, there's only a few female bathroom in the hostel. Hence, sometimes you might need to wait for your turn to take bath. But otherwise, it's a great place and would be nice to stay there.

My experience here was great. It’s a bit outside of Tokyo but it’s a quick walk to the station to get anywhere you wanna go. Nice clean bed. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Head up to the roof and chill out or relax downstairs and drink, eat, converse with fellow travelers. It was a great experience.

My only complaint would be that fitted sheets would be better for the mattress because the sheets just come away making it uncomfortable to sleep. The location is pretty good because Naka-Itabashi station is only 2minutes away. It's nice and quiet too...I extended an extra five nights.
