Great service. One of us has a birthday and they gave us cake and "happy birthday" written from leaves on our room. Overall awesome place and service. The place is a bit hidden and the only room for improvement is that some of the staff didn't wear mask during pandemic time like this so it made me quite uncomfortable. Health protocol should be a priority.

Lovely small boutique hotel that surrounds the pool. Very attentive staff and amazing chef. Could be improved if it offered a pillow menu. Otherwise everything else was perfect.

Tge property was a really good choice. A small friendly place with very polite staff who were able to help and assist as necessary. Tge food was very good as was the spa. The tour booked with the hotel was excellent and driver also had enough knowkedge to give us background information to the places we visited.

Service was impeccable

I literally couldn’t rate the Alena any higher. I’ve stayed in plenty 5 star resorts around the globe and the Alena definitely towers above them. The staff are amazing and take a genuine interest in you, to ensure you’re time spent at the resort is perfect. They refer to them selves as a “home” which I can compete vouch for. Just beautiful.

The stay was amazing...the rooms, the service, the pool & Spa were great. They have multiple shuttles back and forth to Ubud centre. The only problem for vegetarians (no egg) was that there were not enough options during breakfast. Other than that everything was super.

Everything about this resort is very good with just one exception - the background music is too reptitive and after a couple of days started to irritate rather than calm. It is easily fixed by having more variety and switching it off from time to time.

Perfect location off the beaten path, in the fresh air green rice fields about ten minutes from Ubud center. Alena provides easy and free shuttle service is awesome!food is hands down outstanding here!!!

We didnt stay long at the hotel & when we were there we were busy with tours. However during our short stay, the food was pretty good & the room was very comfortable & clean. The best part about this hotel is the customer service from the workers there. Very friendly & helpful :)

We came as a family of 3 with 6 months old baby. We have been given a suite but we were upgraded to the Villa. The Alena resort is simply amazing. The villa had private pool, big round bed, huge bath tub and sheltered outside seating area. We were grateful for their service and they will even bring you to your villa all the food and drinks you ask them for. Villa was always clean and was cleaned twice a day. Every day they replenish fresh fruits and in the afternoon they will bring you complimentary coffee or tea with dessert. The non-villa area is also very nice. The pool is surrounded by nice flowers and it is good area to chill and relax. Restaurant serves tasty food and food on your plate is always nicely arranged and worth the price. The area of the hotel is a question. I do not want to say it is not good but it is not best. We moved to Alena from another place in Ubud which was really in rice fields and you could walk out and enjoy village life. What surrounds Alena felt more like "rice paddies in decline". I did not join the morning hikes but I tried on my own just like I did it the days before moving to Alena. The other place, I could walk 5-6km in the rice fields but here I ended up after 600m not knowing where to go. And I tried both directions while the more distant direction where you need to cross the road is basically the same as the one closer to the hotel. But overall, I would highly recommend The Alena Resort. Big thanks to friendly staff!

Fabulous small resort with friendly staff who work really hard to please.The lush green setting is beautiful and everything's designed with great care and attention to detail. It was very hard to leave.

Very friendly staff Exceptional service We stayed for 4 nights in the private villa with pool and found it hard to leave the room as we had everything we needed right there. Room was exceptional and always very clean Food in the restaurant was excellent with a wide range of choices available I would highly recommend this hotel and would advise upgrading to the villa with pool room

The resort is wondefully peaceful, with a beautiful pool and thatched buildings surrounded by leafy jungle and rice paddies. The food is delightful and the cocktails to die for. The resort is located a short drive from Ubud, with transport accomplished by shuttle cars available every hour on request.

We had 4 comfortable nights at the Alena Resort in Ubud. The rooms and the property are beautiful and super clean. The staff is so helpful and cares about your day trip plans. We enjoyed to be a bit outside of the crowded Ubud crentre. The provided shuttle service drives hourly. The breakfast was delicious. Absolutely recommendable hotel!
