Richard, the owner and host, was wonderful.. helpful, informative, friendly, available. The place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Everything was great!

Location was great!

The owner is very knowledgeable about all things Stirling, including food and Scotch options. He is flexible, kind and very helpful. Even a late request for a breakfast to go was met with enthusiasm. We loved the meat pie and other surprises tucked in our bags.

Talk about perfection. I usually prefer hotels, but this B&B delivered a perfect experience. Clean, stylish, with a charming host. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I wish I was in town longer and could have stayed for a a couple more nights!

Owner was very nice. Nice room, at the top of the house.(No lift, but that's ok) Quiet, with a nice view. Everything in town is on a hill, but at least this home wasn’t very FAR up a hill. (Those poor kids staying at the youth hostel, up by the castle!)

Good location - short walk into town or up the hill to the castle. Friendly, helpful, knowledgable host. Good room and bed; clean and tidy. Great breakfast.Was slightly nervous about the parking arrangements, but needn't have been - there are pay-and-display spaces on the road outside, 4 hours max (but the clock stops in the evening/overnight) - cost £2.90 to park, which covered arrival to departure with plenty of time to spare.Will be coming back :-)

Comfortable and spotlessly clean. My room had everything that I needed and Richard the owner was friendly and helpful. And the tasty breakfast set me up for each day - I had no need for lunch! Great location for train and bus travel, plus all the local attractions. I was visiting Stirling to attend a Wedding and I I'd be happy to stay at the Munro guesthouse again.

This is a lovely house not far from the Castle and good shops and restaurants. The host is WONDERFUL very generous and friendly and helpful with directions. We had the best room in the house way at the top with wonderful views. I took lots of photos from up there! I would highly recommend Munro as a place to stay.

Munro House is immaculately clean, fabulous breakfast, warm but not intrusive hosting, very comfortable - checked all our boxes for what a great B&B should be, and went above with very tailored itinerary suggestions upon request (in addition to the information already provided in the book and available pamphlets- those are standard for a B&B of this high quality, but Richard really took ample time to discuss our plans with us when Im sure he had other tasks!). Richard, thank you so much for the wonderful stay, our trip to Stirling was so much better than it might have been if wed landed elsewhere. The Munro Guesthouse location is also not to be beat- just a few doors down from the best whisky bar in Scotland (Curly Coos) & easy walking distance from the restaurants and historic town centre. We had planned to check Stirling off our list, but enjoyed our time so much that we might have to come back! Maybe just even for the delicious bacon and eggs... cooked better than Ive had in 5 star restaurants. Keep doing what youre doing!

Perfect location in the town of Sterling, adorable and welcoming home / space - and best of all, the host, Richard, was simply delightful! He cooked up delicious breakfasts, was super attentive and just an all around great guy. We loved it!

What a great little gem in the heart of Stirling! Ask Richard for restaurant recommendations - he matched my mood and pocketbook exactly. His story is interesting and I wish I could have spent more time.

Munro Guest House is very close to the Stirling train station, as well as to local attractions (Stirling Castle). Mr. McKendrick was also very proactive to recommend restaurants that could accommodate my dietary needs, as well as to accommodate those needs for the included breakfast. A cozy, well-appointed guest house!
