The hotel is a classic old hotel with amazing location. The breakfast is only Japanese and not very good, but the rooms are spacious for Japan.

Great stay, huge room for japanese standard, great breakfast that also allows you to pack it up for lunch or breakfast in your room. Easy self check in and out and free bus to and from station! Perfect place to stay!

It was clean but the bed was uncomfortable and there was only one pillow. There is a free breakfast. People seemed to like it but it looked unappetizing to me. For a budget hotel it is good but for a midrange hotel it is below APA and the like. The location is great though.

Really reasonably priced accommodation - so cheap! Small room but did the job and perfectly fine for our family of 4. Firm beds but typical for Japanese.
Breakfast was good and included for all guests. Grab your own amenities from the lobby. Free shuttle to and from train station at certain times. Right on main shopping street and walkable to main locations with bus stop right outside.
Definitely would stay in a Toyoko Inn again for a budget friendly stay.

I can't recommend enough! The hotel is strategically located - few bus stops from the station and walking distance from all the interesting sites.
The room was very clean, the facilities great. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast, Japanese, was generous and full of yummy stuff.
I would stay there again and wholeheartedly recommend it ;-)

the hotel is a bit old and facilities a bit wear out. room size is similar to most of japanese hotel is small. the location is good, nearby kenrokuen and shopping mall. hotel staff are all very nice and friendly and we do have a wonderful stay.

Not sure how to pick it up at the station (we took the city bus), but the shuttle was great for our return trip. Many shops and excellent restaurants nearby. My husband and I stayed for a night in Toyoko Inn Kanazawa during a vacation trip to Japan. This hotel was very well located. The room was small (as usual in Japan) but practical, clean, and very convenient.

The location was great, close to Kenroku-en and 21st Century Museum that we had planned to visit. There seemed to be many eateries nearby, we had a good affordable dinner at an izakaya just 5-min walk from the hotel. The room was just clean enough to feel comfortable, very basic.
