Exceptional hotel room fabulous great location close to everything would return

We really loved staying here, it was an easy walk to all of the attractions and the dinner recommendation was incredible We would come and stay again next time for sure

The hotel is gorgeous and steeped in history. The staff were exceptionally accomodating. Lastly the breakfast starting each morning with a glass fresh squeezed blood orange juice was was a perfect start to each day of my trip. Highly recommend this place!

The hotel is located in a historical property in the city center, with frescoed lobby and a beautifully restored library. Rooms are somewhat simply furnished, but the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the room offers all the necessary features. The wifi works smoothly. Perhaps the only downside is that the room was very warm (uncomfortably so), and the AC didn’t really help. The only way to bring the temperature down was by opening the window, but this option is not available on the weekend when the noise level is very high at night. The staff couldn’t be friendlier and more helpful. I’ll surely be back

This property is suitable for people who don’t care about the comfortableness when you decide to stay in the old and historic district in Europe. I felt that I was in the ghost house while I was in this hotel

Lovely place, helpful staff, nice breakfast and a stunning building!

This hotel is in such a cool part of Genoa. It is not accessible by car. You have to walk through many alleyways down a hill to get to it. It’s deeply embedded in one of the most beautiful parts of the city. This area had everything from pharmacies to five star restaurants. Our hotel had a beautiful view. The staff were kind and we had all the amenities that we needed. The staff was very helpful when we needed accommodations for our car. They were very knowledgeable about the area and spoke fantastic English. We will definitely be returning to this property when we visit again, and we truly appreciated how we were treated. The rooms are beautiful. further, there is a beautiful rooftop with seating and meals offered. The cost of the meal is very low for the high quality of food that you got. They had omelettes, fruit, desserts, beverages, great coffee. The view is stellar and it’s a very comfortable and quiet place. The hotel overall feels brand new, despite being in what appears to be a very historic building. I can’t emphasize enough how valuable it was to be so central. This hotel is definitely a gem.

This may be an Expedia issue, but our room was not up to the standards of what is advertised. It faced two allies and was dark. I could hear the person above me walking around. My only complaint with this hotel was the location of the room compared to what I expected. Other than that, the staff was great, breakfast was great, the location was great, the lobby of the hotel and the 2nd floor was incredible. I was just not expecting a room that was clearly not one of their best locations. Again, this may be Expedia misreprenting the hotel rather than the hotel.

We had an amazing stay, the hotel's 16th century architecture is amazing! The retrofitting of modern amenities make the rooms very convenient. It's such an elegant place in the middle of the Genoa historical city center surrounded by shopping and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel and would love to stay in again.

What a place! The building is old and unique, while the rooms and facilities are up to date and very nice. The location is close to the waterfront and major square.

A lot of stairs to our room, awkward with luggage & if you had mobility issues. Small room for the $633 a night without taxes. The breakfast had few hot dishes, okay but coffee was never hot! Nice hotel but I'd choose to go someplace else in the future. Genoa is beautiful. The staff was very nice.

Pretty terrace and historic building

Great hotel which is a former palace, right in the historical center of Genoa, steps from all the history. Breakfast is excellent - the best we had so far from many places: Sardinia, Madrid, Le Spezia.

Great hotel, excellent location, close to everything, super friendly staff

Great hotel for a stay in Genoa. Location, rooms, and amenities were all great. The rooms and common areas were great for staying with multiple families. The staff was very nice and helped us with everything.

This is a lovely property although almost impossible to locate. GPS does not work properly in the inner city maze where it is located in Genoa and this property is tucked on a walkable only street within a street within an alley. There is no street access. Parking is very far away, expensive and hard to locate as there was no clear communication from the hotel prior to our arrival. We almost gave up finding the property and headed to Tuscany early. Once inside, it is a beautiful, clean and an interesting experience. The front desk staff is all quite patient and wonderful. Their English in very good. The cleaning staff were over the top - in a great way! Beds were a little hard and Ikea-like yet bathrooms were divine and the common "library" where you can get coffee, see interesting art, and read cool books is extraordinary. Hearing the ancient bells from your room is a cool experience, too. It's perfect for a romantic getaway if you are flying into Genoa and your cab / Uber driver knows where to find it.

The remodeling of this centuries old property into a modern hotel with comfortable amenities was remarkable and we loved it.

Great hotel once you can find it - it’s in the heart of old town, which to no fault of the hotel, is difficult to get around on your first time. Amazing hotel - huge room, nice bathroom. Get the breakfast - great spread.

Hard to separate our feelings about the hotel with Genoa. Our least favorite Italian city.

Everything was great

Close to everything, excellent breakfast, very nice and very clean room, great shower, beautiful building. Lots of great places to eat within a 5 minutes walk. I was not familiar with what Genoa Centro Storico is like before I booked this hotel, so I was not prepared for how narrow and twisted those tiny streets are. The hotel itself is super nice, but the area is a bit peculiar, especially at night.

Nice hotel in fun city center area. A bit pricey and a bit confusing to find with gps, but walkable area once there. Comfortable room, although a bit small. Nice minibar and bath amenities.

Perfect stay in an historic palazzo that has been renovated with modern flair. The hotel team is incredibly kind and helpful. We’ve stayed here twice now and have great memories of both stays.

What a unique property ! I was surprised by its uniqueness in a very old building combined with absolutely stunning modernization and comfort. You can tell every detail has been considered. The library is such a great feature.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in in Rome, especially at the price point. Stank of disinfectant trying to cover the smell of decay and mold. None of the electrics worked properly. Couldn’t get wifi at all. Loud humming and droning sound from some appliance or generator or not sure what, but definitely in the building, most of the night. Totally spoiled my last night in Italy. Would never recommend this hotel and it should NOT have. 4 Star rating.

We did not stay at the hotel. They do not offer on-site parking, even though they say, they do. When we tried to cancel du to this, they wouldn't let us. Never ever have I experienced so lousy service.
