Very clean in the room, but the hallways and stairwells not so much. Even the outside area needed attention.

Amazing service from Kimberly!! She is amazing and deserves a raise ASAP!! Superb customer service and made me feel so welcome. Excellent hotel. I think this is my new favorite place to stay when I’m traveling through Topeka.

It didn't feel like the cleanest place.

We were going to stay here but it was dirty in the lobby and room and we did not feel safe. The hotel staff did not seem to care about our input on safety and cleanliness.

It was nice to have a full kitchen when traveling. However, I did not feel safe after an incident that occurred at 11:22 pm when someone opened my room door and if I had not had the metal loop and ball attached they would have come right inside the room. I asked about it to the staff at desk in morning they said they were doing and audit to see what rooms were open. She apologized and said that the computer had not updated. Seems that when I checked in at 4 pm that by 11:22 PM the computer would have known someone was in the room. Not sure if that was a valid reason for someone trying to enter my motel room.

My shower did not work in my room and the tub would not drain. The bed was comfortable, but there were loud trucks in the parking lot until midnight revving their engines. Then people rolling stuff up and down the hall until 2AM. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The non working appliances and the lack of employees

My stay with Candlewood suites Topeka west was excellent. Pleasant clean smell when I entered The lobby. customer service was polite and courteous always greeted you with kind words whether you were entering or leaving. my room was clean the bed was comfortable the only downfall I would have to say was the bathtub was stained I just placed a towel down to stand on before I took a shower . The key card never worked on the first try I had to wait patiently and try three or four times before the door would unlocked eventually I had to get the key card replaced. My stay there was eight days I was so glad that they had a fitness room equipment was great . I would definitely stay again.😊

I love the property it had great amenities a kitchenette pots pan etc what we didnt have in the room we were able to contact the front desk., it is family oriented. Great place to stay when traveling with your family. However during my stay my room was only cleaned once per my request. Also as it relates to transportation the front desk is not knowledgeable i would suggest to anyone staying there to rent your own vehicle. Overall its a great hotel i would recommend it

This was our third time to stay here this summer. Great for the price! Clean and spacious.

I discovered this Candlewood Suites last year when staying in town for a Auto Race immediately fell in love with the place with the clean rooms and mini kitchen. Enjoyed my stay that I booked the same hotel again this year and will again next year. You can't beat the hotel for the price. If I had one small complaint it would be the bed hurts my back a little but other than that I love this hotel.

Coffee maker had used coffee in it, coffee vessel had residue, black spots on ceiling above shower looks like mold, kitchen faucet had air in the line so water blasts out, over use of caulk in bathroom to make up for bad installs, not told to start ice maker in freezer, loose faucet connections.

The hotel was unable to provide us with the type of room we had prepaid for. We booked a double queen and all they had were singles with a sofa bed. They offered a second single to accommodate our family, but insisted we would have to pay for the additional room. We ended up with people sleeping on the sofa when we had paided for two beds.

A nice place to stay for our last night of traveling. Safe and quiet!

It was conveniently located. Thermostrat didn't work, ligjts didn't work. shampoo and body wash were empty,, not silverware.

Hotel was OK, nothing great. Towel tack fell off and when I tried to inform The front desk the phone was broken too

It is not up to the standard of Candlewood Hotels that I’ve been a guest of for the past years. It desperately needs upgrading. The hallways smelled of tobacco smoke in the walls and carpet. The coffee machine in the room was not working and the interior paint was dingy. I’ll not stay again.

Clean new room but no TV remote or coffee maker caraf. Odd. Friendly front office staff but I was assured my credit card would not be charged for the room since I had used Hotels.com points. Days later the hotel charge for the room showed up on my card so essentially paying twice for the room. Trying to sort it now. Property was a bit alarming with an intoxicated person roaming around outside and cases of beer cans in various places around the parking lot - felt unsafe to walk my dog.

Bathroom was disgusting, the cieling in the bathroom was rotting and falling in. Bathroom was very dirty. Mold is starting to grow over bathroom tub.

The hotel cancelled our reservation due to property being overbooked. We have to deal with Expedia to get a refund which is virtually impossible.

I will start with the star of this hotel experience. Annie, who was working the evening I decided to book a room at this particular hotel was incredibly helpful and pleasant. We were travelling from Austin, looking for a hotel that would allow pets, so I called ahead & spoke with Annie. She assured me that they did indeed accept dogs & cats and were very inclusive. Once we arrived, she greeted me with a smile and quickly booked us in. This hotel is fortunate to have her in their employ. Great customer service is becoming a rarity these days. Since my husband & I ( IHG members) have stayed at Candlewood properties in the past & been very satisfied w/ the experience, I was disappointed with the condition of our room. While clean, the carpet, furniture, cabinetry, etc were extremely worn and shabby. There were no tissues in the room & the body wash dispenser in the shower was empty. Since I'd talked up Candlewood hotels to my daughter's companion who was traveling with us, I was embarrassed after finding out the condition of his room's furnishings was similar as well. Having stayed 3 nights at a Candlewood in Round Rock (Austin area) prior to this night's stay & also having had a similar disappointing experience, I may be choosing something different for my next hotel stay. If IHG reads these reviews, I would encourage them to look at these particular properties for a much needed "refresh". And maybe while at it, put Annie/Topeka Candlewood in for "employee of the month" award!
