Basic but adequate for a short stay. There are quite a few things could be improved though. 1. Very poor free wifi connection to the point that it is useless. 2. The fitted sheet is very uncomfortable to sleep on. I am not sure what the sheet is made of, but it is unbreathable, scratchy and unappealing. It feels and looks more like a mattress protector than an actual sheet to sleep on. 3. Low quality pillows. 4. Showerhead anchor piece is loose. Therefore, the showerhead angle can't be adjusted, it angles toward the wall, it is nearly impossible to shower under the water. I have to shower by handholding the nozzle. Despite of things could be improved, our hotel room is very clean.

This was a nice place just outside of Kaiserslautern. It was in a rural neighborhood and next to a castle. It was a nice walk from the "Burg", with some cool trail and signs that related stories about the area back in history. The hotel was quiet and we had nearly no interaction with staff. Parking was easy. The room had a nice shower. WiFi worked pretty well. There were some integrity issues with the furniture cabinets falling off and shower door not closing all the way. Overall a nice stay, all things considered.

At night the receptionist is not very friendly and helpful. But when I’m the morning it’s a different receptionist she is kind and very nice.

Worst experience I've ever had. Reception supposed to be open til 10pm. Arrived at 9pm by taxi. Was dark in front, door was locked and no one answered knock. There was an unsecured carpet runner to the sidewalk and in the dark the end was messed up, I fell and hit my head, got a black eye and my face was bruised.. Two men were going past and called the hotel, no answer. They stated there was a rear entrance, which was open. Went in and the receptionist spoke only german, fortunately my husband and his cousin both speak german, so no miscommunication. No sign on the door to use another entrance and this man NEVER even apologized. The room, instead of being one bed, as requested, was two separate beds bolted to the wall across from each other. Next morning I asked for a room with one double bed. The only room was on the 3rd floor, no elevator, and I had hurt my leg so that would not work. Because it was after 11am next day when I came back from the Dr. they charged me even though I left the hotel and they would not pay the Dr. bill. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

This locally owned and operated hotel had amazing service. It was clean, silent, comfortable with refined elegance, good food and close to the castle and bases.

This hotel is very nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. Room was okay and clean. It has a very nice beer garden. Off road parking. The only bad thing was they were too quick to bring out your main meal before finishing your starter.

The room was very clean and kept up well. I loved the location because of the Biergarten.

The on site restaurant was very good. The hotel is located in a quiet area which made the stay very restful.

Doesn’t really seem like a hotel. Looks like multiple people live there full time. No clear check in or out location. Basically had to walk around trying to open any door before I figured I’d go to the restaurant to check in. Bed was broken, sheets and pillows were extremely low quality and needed to be replaced. Very clean though.

If you're looking for a barebones hotel, this is a good enough place. It was clean and felt safe. There's also a restaurant attached, but I never had the chance to go. There was a mini-fridge in my room which was a nice surprise. The WiFi was pretty bad for the most part (<1mbps on the occasion that it would cooperate) and it was difficult to find anybody who worked at the hotel when I needed them. The bathroom light was also burnt out for 4 of the 5 days of my stay which was very inconvenient. The hotel also did not appear to be handicap accessible (I think there are only stairs leading up to the rooms, but I may have missed an elevator somewhere).

Because I cannot eat gluten, the chef made food especially for me for dinner the 2nd night. There was a vegan dinner option on the menu, too. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone, whether vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. The town of Hohenecken is beautiful, with easy bus and rail access to Kaiserslautern. There is a castle from the 1200s overlooking the town.

Clean room, the owner (or staff) was very nice.... didn't speak much English and we don't speak German, but it went well....

Quiet hotel with modern amenities. Courteous staff.

Free parking, the website said breakfast was included but the staff kept trying to get me to pay for breakfast which caused a stressful situatuon that ruined my thoughts on the staff when they started getting rude. There was also broken glass all over the stairs entering the hallway to the entrance of the room. Some of the glass stuck to our shoes and was tracked into our room where we stayed.

The hotel was in a good location and easy to find. Parking was free. The room was beautiful and exactly like the pictures. I had a tiny kitchen along with a microwave. Breakfast was delicious! I recommend this hotel to everyone.

I stayed here for two weeks, I originaly booked the hotel because of the free breakfast, wifi, and restarant. While I was there the hotel was always clean and quiet. However the restarant was closed the entire time during my stay, the wifi would go in and out, and the pillows on the bed wernt comfortable at all. with all of this hotels faults, I would stay here again.
