Cozy, warm, period decor ... would love to live there! Farmhouse sits on a hill in an beautifully dyllic setting; everything beautifully maintain. Would choose an overnight here over any cookie cutter motel. So glad I found this place. A lot of history there and in the area.

I loved our cottage the Spring House. Julie was a great host and showed us to our cottage and went over everything with us. They had plenty of things to do in the yard and I would love to go back when it’s warmer.

Loved the backyard , lots to do. We used their list of recommendations for places to eat and things to do. We would definitely stay there again.

The owner was very friendly and the property's back yard has lots of options for both kids and adults. The room was clean and comfortable.

We had a great experience at the Family Farmhouse Inn! The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. The yard is amazing whether you have kids or not. We played tetherball, cornhole, giant checkers, and enjoyed the fire pit. (There was a lot more, too, including room to spread out and relax.) We would definitely stay here again!

Super cute property and a sweeter hostess! A little highway noise, but not bad. My only complaint is that the air was off when she opened the door for us so it was very hot in our room. Fortunately we were leaving for dinner shortly after so it had some time to cool down.You can tell the owners appreciate their clients and the planet based on their toiletry choices and restaurant suggestions.We ate at a nearby Mexican joint and it was wonderful.

Quiet, friendly and pleasant. Facilities were very clean and well-maintained. Stayed one night with two grandsons during a ski trip.

New owners were wonderful. We stayed at the Inn while we skied at nearby Bryce Resort. Look forward to a return trip in the summer time when maybe we'll use the fire pit.

Adorable setting and not far from I81 or Bryce Ski Resort. Perfect for multiple families going as they have 4 units for rent. Met owner upon arrival and she was very friendly. All COVID precautions followed. Great experience overall!

It was a little out of the way and hard to find. It was also next to the freeway and was quite noisy. The inn was great and Bob, the owner, was very friendly and helpful.

The was mouse poop all over table by bed, on two other tables and under covers in the sheets.In my short stay, i counter five stink bugs and crickets. I do not think sheets were changed as there was hairs in bed that were not mine.

The proprietor was welcoming & friendly. Unfortunately the pest control service had not done their job & we shared our room with mice.

Great historic building with lovely staff.We had the Sweet William room right off front door. Double bed and a couple upholstered chairs in a nice room with very small bath. Bob, the proprietor was charming with lots of information and ideas to visit. He is selling the place as it’s a great amount of work to take care of.We went out for dinner and came back to sleep. We were tired after a long drive and hike on Skyline.We noticed the mattress and pillows were shot once you laid down and it was a long night ahead. We tossed all night never getting comfortable.Up early for nice breakfast which Bob made.Just needs some updates on bedding and towels.

About a 20 minute easy drive from Orkney Springs where the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival events are held in the summertime. Quiet. Close to I 81. Delightfully decorated. Bob is a very welcoming host!

What a wonderful experience. A must stay if you in the area. Bob The Innkeeper / owner was wonderful and made us feel such at home. Will definitely be back.

Our stay was great and the owner and landlord was very attentive and super-helpful even helping us with things like phone chargers etc. He gave us a good idea of things to do in the area and a super place where we had a yummy dinner!

Mr. Bob was so friendly from the minute we walked in, to the minute we left. Our cottage was warm, clean, and very spacious. By far our favorite place that we’ve stayed in Virginia!

Bob (the innkeeper) is VERY nice and accommodating, and he cooks a delicious breakfast. Most rooms in the main home have a private attached bath, and one has a dedicated bath down the hall. The bed was comfortable, the pillows large and the room clean. There are also two outbuildings, and pets are permitted in those (not the main house). The only downside was our room had no AC, and it was unusually warm for October. Leaving the windows open exposed us to a lot of road noise from nearby I-81. We had several nice conversations with Bob, and he suggested day-trips that turned out to be very entertaining.
