Without any advanced notice, there was considerable construction work that was being done on the apartment. The workers cracked the window in one of the bedroom and then asked to come in to put a film over it. We contacted the person in charge. He apologized, had the cleaning people come in and clean and left us a bottle of champagne, which was kind. HOWEVER, the work continued for the entirety of our stay - was extremely loud - we had to leave one morning because it was so disruptive. The worst part was that workers just walked into the apartment several times without knocking. We were very uncomfortable with this and let the people in charge know. We have asked for a refund and have been left without any communication or refund. This was extremely unacceptable.

The location is fantastic, the apartment is pleasant, roomy and cozy!

Great location if you want to walk the town. The apartment has a lot of room and beds were comfortable. Very noisy. You could hear your neighbors talking and hear people above use the bathroom. Everyone slams the door over and over to get the main door shut downstairs.

Lovely apartment, clean with some refreshment’s ready for our arrival. Excellent location within easy walking distance of seafront and shops, restaurants etc. P2 parking on street directly outside apartment and P3 on parallel street below. Really appreciated the Dolce Gusto coffee machine! Fantastic - had a great time - fully recommended!!

Perfect apartment for our family vacation in Iceland. A few suggestions to improve would be larger mugs as the ones provided are very small and a blind to the bathroom window. These have already been made in the guest comments book. Also a small safe would have been great to store valuables

Hands down one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed at as a family. The amenities were fantastic, the beds were so comfortable, the sink in tub a luxury and the location was close to everything! We can not say enough!!! Perfection!!

I am sad to say that we never made it to Iceland due to extreme weather in Reykjavik. Keflavik airport was closed for two days with hundreds of passengers stranded at the airport unable to make it to their hotels. When our first flight was cancelled I telephoned the hotel agent, who told us the weather was fine and didn't understand why we didn't travel. On hearing this we rebooked for the next available flight the following day. It was then we heard of the orange weather warning in Iceland, extreme weather and the airport closed. I reached out to the agent again, appreciating the no cancellation rule, asking for some flexibility to perhaps move the booking to another time. This was declined and I was told to claim on my insurance. Hotels.com reached out to the property but again no sympathy or Goodwill gesture. Insurance claim was refused based on poor weather, leaving us hundreds out of pocket. A property with little to no understanding of customer needs, and no desire to do the right thing.
