Very nice hotel. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a perfect location if going to the ball park. Overall it was a great stay with friendly staff, valet parking, very comfortable beds. There is a nice bar attached to hotel that serves food. Only issue is that during renovation they removed 2 of the 4 elevators. There is no freight car so the staff brings all the food, bedding and maintenance carts up causing huge delays in the elevator service.

The hotel is beautiful; the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We chose it for the proximity to Comerica Park for a concert - it’s SO close! But the staff was amazing! The valet staff especially - my tire had a slow leak and they actually put air in the tire and made sure I knew where I could go in the area to get it fixed. It was so appreciated! I would definitely stay here again!

The stay was great. Great location and very clean rooms. Unfortunately the management does not do their job. I have documentation that I was charged twice for the same room. I have called multiple times and no management will call me back. Still an unresolved problem.

The hotel and it’s staff are wonderful. It’s clean and modern. The lobby area is beautiful. The People Mover is across the street (Broadway Station) and the QLine is around the corner on Woodward. Perfect location. I would stay again. Be aware if you’re a light sleeper (I am) staying on the weekend, bring earplugs. The street noise and people are pretty lively until the clubs/bars close. My room was on the 3rd floor at the front of the building. Even with the noise i will stay there again when I return.

The property had a lot of history with photos showing before, and after of the renovation. Staff was very friendly and willing to help answer any questions that you had. The valet even walked me a block just to show me where a store was. Comerica Park and Ford Field was right around the corner.

Wonderful stay at The Element Hotel Detroit. We came in for a one-night stay last minute to experience Day 3 of the NFL Draft with our son. The hotel was super convenient to everything, and very nice. They had some fun events going on with pop-up shops when we checked in and they were super welcoming of kids. The valet was great and very easy too. Everyone was so friendly and how this old building was restored is truly remarkable to see with the framed photographs displayed throughout the hotel. Can't wait to return!

The Element is the place to be!! I love to complain but I couldn’t find one negative thing. The room was clean and spacious. The people were absolutely fabulous - the coffee in the room was delicious (I know that seems minor but it’s a big deal). We will be back!!

Had a GREAT stay for Tiger's opening day weekend with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The Element was super close and conveniently located to Comerica Park, Ford Field and Little Caesers Arena. The staff at the hotel was amazing! The Valet, check-in & restaurant staff, and every employee we encountered were so friendly and helpful. The swanky Monarch Club on the Penthouse Level on the top floor had great views and the bartenders were so fun to watch. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Detroit.

It was a quick getaway with the kids to explore close to home. Very clean, great location and excellent service. Special shout-out to Antoine (valet) who did an excellent job making us feel at home and helping us with ideas to explore Detroit.

Awesome views from the rooftop bar; fun nooks and crannies in the common areas; beautiful original architectural detailing in the lobby. In a great location that was an easy walk to both the People Mover and Qline for transit options.

The Metropolitan Hotel is a boutique size hotel nestled in downtown Detroit near lots of dining and entertainment venues. Basically parking is valet only but they offered great service. Actually, everybody at the hotel was wonderful. Very nice breakfast and their rooftop monarch club bar was exceptional and cozy with great views of the city. I got one of their larger one bedroom suites, and it was roomy and had a full kitchen. My only real complaint and reason for not giving five stars to every category was the brown vinyl wood flooring covering the entire room looked super low end. Like the kind of flooring you’d see in a hospital or institution. And in my suite some of the furniture (pull out couch) had the same cheap low end feel. On the other hand the bed/linens were first rate. Great bathroom etc. It was also slightly odd that there was no art on any walls. With the institutional floor and the stark walls, it gave the space kind of a cold appearance. All in all, it was a nice stay at a nice hotel. Just wish the finish detail was a little more consistent and especially the condition of the floors.

We had a great time. Girl at the front desk was awesome, Valet was too. They let us check in early which was awesome since we were going to a noon Red Wings game. Stadium was a few blocks away, can't wait to stay there again!

The hotel is clean, updated and located close to fabulous restaurants and entertainment. But the highlight was the hospitality and professionalism of the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful; from our check in with Mike, the valet staff, the bar staff at the Monarch Club on the top floor, the enthusiastic breakfast staff to our check out staff member. They all were great! Thanks for a great stay.

From the moment we arrived the service was top notch! Everyone was friendly and knowledgable. I am Detroit born and raised but needed a place to stay overnight for a concert nearby. The hotel was in close walking distance of LCA, Ford Field, and Comerica Park. The included breakfast was amazing and cooked to order. Very cute and quaint. Will definately stay here again for all upcoming events.

Very clean and well done hotel. Room was very nice and spacious. Staff was great and accommodating. Great location for restaurants and ford field. Valet was great but odd to find space to get out and transfer keys. Room was a little loud being right above the exit of a bar, but wasn’t a problem once it came to sleeping

Beautiful hotel in Detroit. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Walked to Little Caesars for a Red Wings game and Ford Field for a Lions game. Area around hotel and stadiums is clean, safe and very walkable. Hotel requires valet parking at $42 a day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the Detroit Thanksgiving Day parade steps from the hotel.

Valet was awesome, right on top of everything. Staff were friendly, room was incredible! Breakfast has a decent amount of options.
