As a tourist, I could not have found a better location to stay in Salzburg. It was within walking distance to every important sight in the city. Loved being so close to the fortress, the little shops and restaurants, a block away from the river... They have a nice breakfast with great pastries and spreads. Surprisingly it was super quiet as well. Top choice!

Stayed for 2 nights over the Easter weekend, and woke up to a delightful easter basket on Easter morning. It was a lovely surprise. The interior was tastefully decorated, and the bed was comfy. However, I think the highlight would be the breakfast in the morning, which had the coziest setting, and the most delicious essentials. The hotel staff were attentive as always and it was a very restful weekend recharge for me. I'll definitely be back, thank you!

Great location in old Town perfect for Christmas market. Modern clean room and really friendly staff. Buffet breakfast was excellent and food presentation was like a work of art! Bravo.

In the heart of old town, this cozy hotel is ideal for a single or couple. The staff were so kind and the charm and convenience of this most beautiful city is quite literally out the front door. I’ll be staying here again!

Salzbug and the Hotel Wolf were great! Hotel was in a fantastic location easily walkable to all the sites with great dining just outside. All waz great except their air conditioning was disabled due to energy costs. A/C was a must have on our list, and hotels.com listed that they had it.

The hotel canceled our reservations due to needed renovations. I never set foot in the hotel.

Very lovely stay. Great location near many popular attractions. Hotel staff gave us an awesome restaurant recommendation for traditional Austrian food. Breakfast was charming. They also stored our bags after we checked out until late afternoon. Totally recommend the Wolf.

We stayed in several hotels throughout Germany and Austria and this was by far our favourite. This is a beautiful old hotel, perfectly located, right off Mozartplatz. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very well appointed, The breakfast, offered in a beautiful dining room in the front of the building, was superb. But what truly made this our favourite was the staff, who were friendly, helpful, and always cheerful. They displayed a sense of pride in their hotel that was very well deserved. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Altstadt in Salzburg.

Being in the Alt Stadt was the primary reason to book this hotel and it did not disappoint. Also, an amazing breakfast. No continental service there. Five star

We LOVED every thing about this charming, romantic Inn. It is conveniently located in the heart of Salzburg. The hosts (owners) were helpful and friendly, the room was perfect. In the morning we ate to classical music with a traditional Austrian breakfast and in the evening jazz played in the gathering room where you could purchase a small hurtle if wine. We will be back! x

This is the first negative review I've ever written a property or hotel in my life. I traveled to Salzburg with my 1 year old. Upon arrival, I requested a baby bed for her to sleep in. The gentleman who checked me in was a friendly older man who helped assemble the bed with a smile. Great. I asked if there would be a charge, he said no. Upon checkout, I was informed by the front desk I was going to be charged for the bed. However, I was not just informed about this, I was made to feel unwelcome and talked down to by a small gentleman with an ego much larger than his stature can support. He was arrogant, rude, and insulting. I won't go into the details of his exchange with myself and my wife, but let's just say, the words he chose would leave your jaw on the floor. Worst hotel experience of my life.

Location was perfect and the staff was friendly, professional and efficient. Exceptional customer service, especially in the unique breakfast. Room was comfortable and quiet. Our only challenge was taking a shower in the deep bathtub but we see that bath setup frequently so maybe it’s an American problem. All in all, our stay was excellent and rewarding and we’d stay here again without hesitation.

Wow! You can tell that the building itself must be very old but it feels brand new... clean, well maintained, well laid out. But that wasnt even the best part. Their staff is incredible! They seemed genuinely excited (and I do mean excited) to welcome us to the hotel and to make sure everything was OK. When we had questions about Salzburg that they couldnt answer they were ready to make some phone calls and get answers. When they saw that we didnt take much from the breakfast buffet (were not big breakfast people), they offered to make something special for us. It felt more like staying with good friends than at a hotel.The hotel itself is right in the old part of town but about a block away from the crowd. It was perfect for seeing old Salzburg and for going to the castle.When I think back about our time in Salzburg, The Hotel Wolf will be one of our good memories!
