The management was very helpful and quick to respond. The place is a bit rustic, but a reasonable place to stay Idyllwild.

We loved the wood cabin coziness and decor. The bed was comfortable, cabin was clean and there was a nice supply of silverware, glasses and dishes. It was nice to have a good minifridge in the room for chilling drinks for the following day's hike. The location of the Inn is quiet, yet just up the street from the central town area. You can hear noises from the adjacent cabin with a shared wall, but guests seem to be pretty quiet. We loved the cute porch. Check in is super easy and streamlined. Overall, this is a great place, and we would definitely stay here again.

It was an amazing stay ! 10/10 private cabin! 2 beds with 2 seperate floors! Host was great and answered our texts with any concerns within minutes! Even gave recommendations for local spots !Very cozy , great amenities & service ! Cabin also had private area & woods big area ! Overall great experience ! Definitely coming back !

Me and the girlfriend were looking for a one night stay and we got it. The bang for your buck. Inside and out of the cabin was astonishing , convinced me to buy property out here

Very Cute with everything you need. On my next trip I’ll hopefully book the same place - same room.

AC unit to small for quarters, really hot inside made it hard to sleep. Light in restroom did not work, had to use heated light when it was 90 degrees inside. Vending machine VERY limited, had no drinks available.

It was an extremely beautiful stay, but my bfand I couldn't even sleep in the bedroom it was so hot, the only room that had AC was the living room so we had to sleep on the couch that was the only downside to the stay.

Great area and close to everything. Lovely staff and extremely responsive.

This property is close enough to walk into town but quiet and peaceful. The Fir cabin is a good size and decently appointed for a short stay. Although the linen, kitchen cabinets and shower has seen better days. However for the price point, none of that would stop me from booking again. Still an overall great place.

A last minute trip up to Idyllwild, and The Fireside Inn delivered. The rooms are a perfect blend of charm and convenience. A cabin vibe with an updated feel! Loved that it was a short walk to downtown Idyllwild. I will definitely return!

This property is definitely rustic. The cabin we were in could use a facelift but it was clean and in a great location. It was nice the unit had a full kitchen. The couch and the bed were comfortable. I think it’s slightly overpriced for what it is. I would probably go back if there weren’t any other options in the same price range.

It was lovely having a whole cabin (Manzanita) to oneself equipped with kitchenette, fireplace, and patio -- so picturesque and cozy! Cabin was relatively quiet despite being next to main road and sharing a wall. It was very walkable to main street and into neighborhoods. Bed was incredibly comfortable, wifi was consistent enough, and a hummingbird perched outside kitchen window every night. Challenges: only one of three stove burners worked, cabin was dimly lit at night with couple of lights avail inside, lingering smoke smell in cabin, there were active ants in stove/fridge/sink/bathroom that needed active wiping (so I stored trash in the fridge), and the screen doors/windows had holes that invited flying visitors. Overall stay was charming and worth the value. Hosts were friendly and responsive.

I love the decor and the bathroom. The frogs or toads singing right outside the window are interesting, I like them and wonder what kind they are. I like the easy check in and location. But I do think the cabin could use some fabreeze or air freshener, it smelled kind of like old band aids when we got here.

The location was fantastic and the cabin super cute, but the heater didn’t work which made for a very cold night.

Liked the quaintness. Bed was comfortable. Cleanliness was good. Didn’t like the bathroom. Shower and toilet need updated. The electrical setup was dangerous. You had to unplug the toaster from an ext. cord to plug in the refrigerator, that plugged into an adapter on the ext cord. No instructions for the heater or the fireplace. When we turned the heater on it smelled like it was dirty. The bed sheets are showing wear.

Do not book on Expedia, as they will not honor your room choice and be totally rude about it. Also, rooms were dark and dated, towels were few and rough, beds not comfortable and a bit lumpy/saggy, and toilets were super low, so be prepared to do a deep squat to get on them (and I’m 5’3”). Don’t recommend.

The room is fine and everything worked. There is, however, an incessant humming noise in the Ponderosa unit. I could not determine where it came from, but it was loud enough to make sleeping difficult. Please fix this problem!

Hard to check in. Paid for a king bed. Got a queen. Difficult to speak with management.
