Overall good hotel

We were disappointed in this hotel. Our bathroom door appeared would not close. The door would get caught on the bathroom floor and make a horribly loud noise if you tried to force it closed. The shower door did not seal so every time some took a shower it flooded the bathroom. I spoke to the person at the front desk but he was not interested in addressing the issues.

The room was clean and the breakfast was large and enjoyable. The rate for the stay was a little elevated for the quality and size of the room. But overall good stay.

There was a few bugs in our room. Centipedes I think. Told the manager she said she would make it right. Couldn’t use the pool the chemicals were too strong.

Check in was quick and easy. Room was large but very sparsely furnished a sofa or armchair would have been nice. No microwave but there was a small fridge. The location was convenient but nothing about this hotel chain would encourage me to use them again.

We were there for a volleyball tournament for my daughter. We were able to check in by 2 which was perfect since she had a game at 3. The place was very clean. I was very surprised by the amount of cleaning I saw throughout our stay... the floors, elevators, bathrooms, etc. Breakfast was good each morning too. My only complaint is I wish it had a microwave in the room.

For the money, this is a nice hotel. The indoor pool is really small, but it offers a really nice breakfast and the beds are comfortable. Close to restaurants, too.

I didn’t like the fact that the bathroom door wouldn’t close and lock. The guy at desk kicked us out the lobby at 10 said they close. The next day we were looking for an employee to get a bucket for ice and more towels and he was outside with some girl then decided to bring her in and play pool after 10pm when the lobby was closed. They let anybody do laundry there. There were a few cars pulling up to wash clothes they weren’t even staying at hotel

Pros…it was very clean. The lady doing breakfast service kept it very stocked. Cons… I went to the front desk on 2 different occasions and no one was up there. At 5:30am our alarm kept going off in the room. We finally unplugged it. The light from the street lights and then the sun came right through the blinds. All night it sounded like someone was trying to come into our room. The beds were not comfortable. My back and hips were killing me. The shampoo and soap dispenser isn’t for anyone with disabilities. I had to help my husband squeeze it to get the product out. He has cerebral palsy and no function on the left side. You can hear everything out in the hallway. I won’t be staying at another TRU hotel. Very disappointed.

Perfect location for kings island.

I will not be staying at this property again. We stayed 3 nights and didnt have one room cleaning. We requested towels and were told we needed to go to the lobby. The lobby didnt have wash rags the first day so we were given body and hand towels..fine. The next day, no room cleaning again. We went down for towels and this time no hand or wash rags and we were told we'd need to use body towels as wash rags. We were given a total of 3 wash rags our entire stay and we had full trash cans and used large, wet towels stuffed in every corner of the bathroom. The end of our stay we ran out of hand soap too but with no hand towels to dry our hands, what does it even matter? I've never felt so neglected at a hotel. We've stayed at 4 hotels on our road trip and this was the most expensive and most disappointing. It just seemed understaffed, people waiting at the front desk several times we came through with no one there. The one great thing was the breakfast and the woman who was attending it was super friendly and working her butt off. She needs a raise and help.

Nice hotel

We were really satisfied with the breakfast offered, the cleanliness, the common areas, and the staff. However, the room was really basic with limited features, which took away from the overall comfort experience. In particular the beds were basic, limited area in the room, very small fridge, no microwave in the room, no table or sitting area outside of the desk.

I booked this hotel because it was the closest one to some people we wanted to visit. It turned out to be a great choice. It's newer, well-kept, has friendly staff, and a great free breakfast. I will definitely stay at a Tru hotel again in the future.

Our stay was fine. Nothing terrible, just not as clean as preferred. Fitness area had no cleaning wipes or towels. Room bathroom door was broken, but usable. Staff were friendly.

The handicap room did not have a good Accessible shower and no bench that could be used for it.

The room was clean for the most part (grease marks on the headboards was a little off-putting) and the front check in area was nice. The bed mattress was really hard and not comfortable and the sheets/comforter had someone else’s makeup all over them. Good thing I brought my own sheets! There is nowhere to park at the front of the building where you have to enter to check in for your stay unless you are handicapped. So we had to park behind the building and then walk around to the front of the building to get our keys. Not a huge deal, but a little bit of a hassle. Our mini fridge was good to hold beverages, but ours did not have a little freezer in it. Again, an annoyance for me, but may not be for others (I had ice packs I needed to freeze for my trip home). My biggest gripe to share was that the check out time is 12pm- I was in my room taking a shower when housekeeping tried to barge in at 8:30am. Luckily I had the door stopper in place so they couldn’t enter. I’m not sure why they would come so early knowing that we hadn’t checked out yet. Much like any hotel, the ceilings and walls are thin. It sounded like the people above our room were having a basketball game in their room at 6am and it was really loud. But what can you do? Otherwise, it was decent enough for the price and better than a motel.

Air conditioner was awful reset each time we left to 65 - noone at the desk to ask to look into it. Breakfast was not that great. Good Location - for the price it was expensive not heading back

From the check in to check out, everything went smoothly. Booked 4 nights but had to cancel last night. The manager was very accommodating, and refunded the payment for 4th night with no problem. If and when we return to Kings Island, we will stay at Tru by Hilton.

The were random times when we would smell sewage. The shower didn’t look like it was cleaned before we got there. My dress accidentally was dragged about one to two feet across the floor in the room and my dress was COVERED in dust. The floor certainly wasn’t cleaned anytime recently.
