The annex suite was apart from the Victorian house. We expected more of the same type of furnishings that the house had. For that reason we had to give it a substandard rating. Food service by Patel was poor in that eggs and bacon were cold and there was not a wide selection. For the money we paid, I would not recommend this Victorian setting

The hotel room was charming but dusty. I looked under the bed because I was looking for something that I dropped and it was disgusting.
We stayed in the Kirk room. The heater in the room doesn't heat evenly. While we were ok the room beside it where my daughter stayed was hot! we had to open a window because we couldn't control the heater.
According to Expedia, breakfast starts at 8:00am (one of the reasons why I booked), it actually starts at 8:30am. Even their menu said 8:00am. My daughter had an event at 8:30am so we had to buy breakfast for her and come back for our breakfast. I told the person in front desk, and he changed the menu times. I also told him to check the time that Expedia has. He was very argumentative. I gave up. The breakfast was ok.
Although the place has a nice charming, antique vibe, the service is not good. I would not go back.

I like quirky older properties and this fits the bill however attention to room details were missing. TV did not work, light bulbs were missing, closet door did not open, a second closet was storage for window air conditioners.
Not all is lost, the Inn was quiet, the manager helpful, the breakfast was good. Just need to look after the small details to go from average to great.

This was a most comforting place for a Christmas Eve stay. We were glad we chose the Victorian Inn, and I'm sure we'll be back again.

Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Although the rooms and linen are clean the property is very dated, in need of repair and a serious facelift. Room # 7 is on the uppermost level and requires mounting 3 flights of stairs (in a Victorian home with narrowing stairs the higher you go). There is no washroom in this room; it is located across the hall (this was not mentioned in the listing or upon check in. Staff were pleasant when I expressed my dismay regarding the washroom situation and I was offered a different room or full refund.

A nice property with Victorian style and large rooms centrally located. An included hot breakfast with the room fee is a nice touch.

Dirty shower liner. Staff not trained for the breakfast. Breakfast was barely rateable. Snow not removed from the steps. Stayed there a few years ago and it was quite different. Absentee owners.

For the price they charged it was fine. Just needs a little touch up on inside - but certainly a character home as described - it was clean😊. Didn’t have time for breakfast so cannot comment but was certainly available.

Private washroom inconveniently located across a hall. Free breakfast was mediocre (at best) and staffing was almost non-existent (unmanned front desk on checkout).

Beautiful building, inside and out. Nicely appointed room. Breakfast was great. One helpful suggestion--on the breakfast menu, add, "Your choice of one of the items below". It would clear up confusion and save the server having to explain this to each guest.

The toilet is private but not attached to the room. The hotel is very old style. Room roof is slanted and you need to bend to go to bed. The hotel was clean. The breakfast starts at 8am which is not very convenient for early riser or traverlers start in the morning. Also they take orders and prepare one by one which takes lot of time.

The room was small, with lots of stairs. But that was our fault for trying to save a few dollars. The breakfast was perfect and the staff were amazing. We will certainly go back.

It’s a beautiful Victorian home. Staff are friendly. My bed is very comfortable and I had an excellent night of sleep. Wing chairs in room are cozy. Places to eat are within walking distance… love my stay here

The room was not clean. A look into the breakfast room, with everyone sharing jars of jam, peanut butter didn’t strike us as appropriate. We didn’t trust that the kitchen preparation would be up to sanitary standards.

Wonderful place. Clean rooms. Former residence of the Bishop and it holds much of that imagined stately feel. Nice breakfast. Had two requests of the owners and they were very helpful (including the need to check-in early). Nice walking downtown and to the University. Recommend
