I regularly use this hotel for visiting family . Always a great welcome from the staff and positioning is second to none .

Great location! Checkin quick and easy , rooms a little dated, but nice and comfortable with lovely view.

Booked to go dolphin watching. Perfect location for doing so. Overlooks the bay and could see the dolphins in there at high tide from the hotel room Really comfy bed. Good choice of channels on tv. Friendly welcome from the landlord.

Great location, overlooking the beach and harbour, close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Our double seaview room was modern and comfortable, we loved sitting in the arm chairs and watching the harbour. One afternoon, we were lucky and saw the dolphins in the bay.

A fantastic weekend at the Penwig. All staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Food and drink in the hotel bar was great and rooms were clean and comfortable Location was also superb for the coastal path

Great central place to stay. friendly staff. No parking on site but there is near by. Lovely size room and whilst we didn't ask for a view of the sea you could look out the window and see / hear the sea.

Great place to stay in centre on New Quay overlooking the bay. Easy parking during winter months. Great beer on cask hand pull and hearty food. Enjoyed the breakfast.

Thanks to Colin and his team, everything was excellent and it was nice to have a decent portion of chips with dinner.

The room was lovely and clean,warm, good views of the sea. The bed was comfortable, a nice sized TV. Very happy with it all. Had a tasty omelette for breakfast.

Room was excellent, staff friendly although short staffed which created queues, food was very poor, would not eat there.

Good location

We made a last minute booking and did not have high expectations. How wrong we were. We arrived at lunchtime. The very friendly manager explained our rooms would not be ready till check in time. He took our cases and locked them away. Advised us where we could park. He booked us a table on the veranda overlooking the harbor. Great meal. Then we walked around the town. Came back and we were taken to what can only be described as a suite. Very clean, fantastic view and very comfortable bed. No fault of the hotel we did not book dinner and unsurprisingly they were very full. They did offer us a table in the back so we decided to try another restaurant and had a great meal elsewhere. Came down for breakfast. The manager helps you choose a great breakfast which unlike other hotels is excellent value for money. We were lucky with the weather which was great but whatever the weather I can very strongly recommend this hotel as being superbly clean, good food and a very friendly team.

Dog friendly room, on two floors, sea view, lovely staff……definitely one to use again

Breakfast was very disappointing. Expect a hotel to provide more than main course. No juice, cereals, fruit Also with quite a large parking area at the rear why are residents not allowed to park there. Parking was listed in facilities.

A lovely position in beautiful NewQuay. Our sea view room was certainly that super views of the quay, harbour, beach and coast line. Unfortunately we were not told of the kitchen closure before our stay which left us searching for somewhere to eat which was a real challenge. A very poor breakfast of a bowl of cereal or yogurt and a hot drink was provided at no extra cost.

We arrived after 9 pm because it’s quite a hike & they’d stopped serving food so that was boring but otherwise great reception. I’d phoned to say we were running late & the venue was cool. Superb location & the Dylan Thomas connection. Terrific breakfast.

Third time i have stayed here over the years. Not a high end Hotel, small & nice. Definitely Location Location Location, to wake up to this view.

We didn't have wifi. I had to go to the restaurant to get wifi. I was pretty disappointed because he said it was due to the heat but the restaurant had wifi. They should just say there's no wifi.

The staff were amazing very helpful went out of there way to help you to make your stay a very happy experience, very clean room, stunning views , would highly recommend definitely stay again in room 7

Excellent location with sea view from 3 windows. Upon arrival, the staff in the pub were friendly and accommodating. We were able to stay with our dog too which was ideal. Shower was fantastic, really hot water. Probably wouldn’t stay more than 2 nights in the high season as it’s right in the bustle, but can imagine a really nice break out of season here.
