Excellent facility with a very friendly and helpful staff

This is our second trip to The Stone Gate Resort. The family that runs the resort goes out of their way to ensure everyone has a great time. The private lake area and pool have great seating areas are very enjoyable. We love the location and how close it is to Bolton Landing, the town of Lake George & Queensbury. We will be back next year for sure!

Absolutely wonderful!!! We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with 2-full bathrooms which was well furnished and clean. Every employee of this family owned hotel is kind and always offers assistance with anything you need. They have a private beach with kayak and paddle board rentals and a boat with a captain that will take you on a tour or pull you in a float..I HIGHLY recommend this GEM!!

This hotel was extremely clean & had fantastic staff. It is the perfect distance from the main strip in Lake George & has All of the modern amenities including lake access!

RENOVATED, NICE DECORATED ROOMS, VERY CLEAN, LOVE THE SMELL, PROPERTY HAD BBQ, FIRE PIT, STORE, BEACH ACESS, VERY NICE SURROUNDED WITH TREES, FAR FROM THE CROWD, CLOSE TO MAIN STREET AND RESTAURANTS, AMAZONG STAFF AND THE OWNER, DEFINATELY WE ARE COMING BACK!!!

Incredible service. Kind and attentive. We arrived very late and they reached out in advance to let us know how we’d get into our room, and had everything set up nicely in the room (including local donuts!). Easy texting service to leverage for anything you may need.

Stay was great. The grounds are well manicured and kept clean and neat. The rooms were immaculate and the staff was professional and friendly.

We had a great weekend getaway at The Stone Gate Resort! The pool, fire pits, bbq areas, and private lake area are all you need in Lake George! The staff was very friendly and made all the amenities easy to use. The red chairs on the lake are perfect way to relax! We will be back next summer!

The beach was our favorite part of our stay at Stone Gate - the beach was clean, not overly crowded, had easy access to kayak and paddle rentals, and had plenty of ADK chairs on docks and beach. The pool temperature was also excellent, though wish there were a few more lounge chairs/tables around the pool area. Our room was spacious and clean, though process for replacement linens could have been more seamless. Staff was very attentive, assisted with luggage and was very responsive by text message. We also appreciated multiple staff members' offers to shuttle from the beach to residence. Overall was an excellent place for young families, with plenty of activities, quiet hours, and no over-crowding in pool or beach areas.

This hotel was fantastic! We had my best friends bachelorette party stay the family suite and it was beautiful! I loved the rustic feel while also having all of the amenities right there in the room. The staff was so friendly and the location is absolutely perfect. Will definitely be staying here again!

Two areas that are hard to find in Lake George are updated resorts and excellent customer service. Stonegate Resort hits both marks. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive to their guests needs. The grounds are very nice with a well maintained heated pool and enough fire pits for their guests. The motel rooms have been updated and are very nice and spacious. The Captain near the dock was extremely friendly and would even hand out ices to the kids. The staff even have golf carts to bring the guests to and from the Lake. We have been going up to Lake George for over 40 years and this resort by far has been one of the better ones, especially for the price and hospitality.

Nice family resort. Only down side, the beds were like sleeping on a trampoline.

Clean, nice employees, away from busy and crowded hotels, just loved it, big enough to keep social distancing because of covid. We will be Back

We had a great stay at the Stone Gate Resort. The rooms were clean and newly renovated. The beach was perfect for small kids with two docks, single-person kayaks, paddleboards, and captained boat tours. The pool was great. There are also basketball courts and other activities for older kids. We stayed in the motel part but would like to try the cabins the next time. The place was clean and, the staff were very friendly. Our kids had a blast. It's also just a short ride to either the village or Bolton's landing which both have good food options. We are looking forward to visiting again next year.

We had a great stay at the Stone Gate Resort, the Innkeeper and his staff were outstanding. Everything was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We're a little older, so the hill to the beach was daunting. They do have a cart to shuttle you up the hill.

The pool area was very spacious with many Adirondack chairs around fire pits. There were also many picnic tables and grills available. The beach was at the bottom of the property, but to return to a unit was easy with always on the ready cart service. The beach area was tiered, providing options on how to enjoy that area. The owners and staff were very friendly and ready to assist if needed. There was a nice deli/restaurant on-site which also had supplies for anything that might not have been packed. The breakfast sandwich’s were great and there was indoor and outdoor deck seating available. The new owners, since 2019, are working hard to continue to fully renew this property and their efforts are very evident. We were glad we choose Stonegate for a family get together. We plan to make this an annual event to allow us quality time with our granddaughter.

I loved it at the resort. Family friendly. Having a pool and a walk to the private beach/lake was having the best of both worlds. Staff was great. Room was perfect in the hotel. Deli/store/liquor and restaurant all within a 2 min walk. No complaints. Will be booking again.

A wonderful place for families with children of all ages, but not much to do if the weather is uncooperative.
