Close to Main Street. Walkable for several attractions in town

Great place to stay, very centric and walkable. Hotel facilities are very good, breakfast options were ok and bad very comfortable. Bathroom can use some improvements

This was the only hotel we stayed in that 2 windows, so we could get a cross breeze. That was great! However, both windows had black mould on them

They do not have free parking and you can only park your car in the street between 4 to 10. Which it will be free

A bit noisy, you can hear your neighbors showering. Otherwise nice hotel.

the rooms aren't in a great condition with old furniture and broken parts, the breakfast has a limited choice, noise from both inside and outside is a problem. I would not reccomend staying here for long.

Small room, small bed with the tiniest shower ever 😆 Staff we're nice and they have a little bar in the lobby.

Had a single room, was rather tiny, that´s my only complaint. Clean, staff are fine, breakfast was fine. Location is down town central.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the bus stop, the harbor, downtown and many restaurants. There's no supermarket nearby, but the Netto is an easy bus trip. Hotelb staff were all cordial and answered my many questions cheerfully. The desk man even made calls to check on the status of my bus back to Reykjavik. I will stay here again when I return to Iceland during a warmer climate.

Breakfast was okay. But, room was dirty. There were stains on the carpet. Windows and balcony door were almost impossible to open. Shower never got warm, therefore I took a cold shower. Also, the shower drain was blocked.

Staff & location were wonderful, breakfast was good. Room across the street was subpar with dirty carpet, mildew smelling bathroom & super small. My husband previously stayed in the main bldg & it was nice. Would only stay here again if I had a room in the main bldg. If I had to stay in a room across the street again, I would run away. Don’t accept a room across the street.

The property was great overall, very convenient located and clean. The small private kitchen was an added value and price is fair

Perfect location for exploring downtown Akureyri

Cables hanging lose and carpet missing under table did not give a good impression.

Hotel Norðurland was what we expected! We enjoyed the breakfast, which had its own area on the first floor. The location was superb, right near downtown Akureyri, and the parking was simple.

The hotel is right in downtown area so convienent to walk around and shop. Little dated hotel and no elevators to bring your luggage up but the staff did offer to bring it up. Rooms are clean but little old and outdated, Being near the main road there is noise and can hear people talking.

Hotel Norðurland is in a great location in Akureyri. It’s far enough away from the city center to be in a quiet location but close enough to walk everywhere you need to go. There’s a parking lot and street parking is plentiful too. There is no elevator, so you have to walk up the stairs with your luggage. The breakfast that’s included is nice and plentiful and good. The room is pretty bare, but it’s a good size, clean, and comfortable.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great in a nice lounge area. The hallways smelled like smoke, otherwise we loved it.

A convenient place to stay near the centre of town. Quite basic but fine for a stop off on a touring holiday. Akureyri is a livelier place than most in Iceland and there are plenty of bars nearby for a late evening drink.

Very nice place with plenty of room. Good free breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside if you have a lot of luggage is that there are no elevators and 1st floor is not lobby level. So possibility of having to carry luggage up 3 floors or curved stairs.

Front of house staff were excellent. Very welcoming, friendly and professional. They even presented me with a cake as it was my birthday on date of checking in. The cake was delicious too! Great hotel. Would highly recommend!

good room size for 3 people. close to town center. staff very helpful and friendly. no recycling bins in room. free parking and breakfast were nice bonuses.
