Great place to stay, although it got quite hot without AC

Hotel was a great location and very modern facilities. The room decor was beautiful and the beds were comfy. However there is no air conditioning in the rooms. They have two fans in there (one of them sounds like a train going along a track). We stayed in August and it was hot. So hot we struggled to sleep at night, very uncomfortable and no respite from the heat.

Nice hotel in great location as perfect spot to explore the city. Disappointing was that there is no full air condition. Even in days of warm (not hot) temperatures, rooms have been uncomfortably warm ... also driven by small size and low ceilings in rooms. Despite summer, great value for money hotel.

Lovely hotel located a short walk from the Lehel U-train station. Nice breakfast and the bar with outdoor seating was a nice area to relax after a day of sightseeing.

Everything was 5* but not having AC is a huge bummer. Room was uncomfortably warm even with the windows open which is hard to fathom because it was 65F outside. Apart from the AC, everything was top notch.

Very modern lobby and meeting area downstairs, friendly and helpful staff, easy to find, near the English Gardens. Room was clean and comfortable and hotel had elevators. Short drive or walk to nearest parking garage. Good value for business travelers or for tourists.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Fresh contemporary design, convenient room layout. Would be nice to have a tea kettle in the room to make coffee in the room. Very stuffy and hot in June, not even a fan in the bedroom. Hotel really needs to be air conditioned as earth gets warmer. We return in September for a 5 night stay but cancelled this reservation in favor of a 4star Hotel with AC.

We really expected more from a 4 star hotel. The reception staff was pretty uninterested in us being there. Not rude but it felt like they didn’t care. The hallway leading to our rooms smelt of smoke. The rooms were small and the room design is more in line with a cheap chain hotel. It didn’t feel particularly clean either. The rooms also had no air conditioning and one room had some air cooling device plugged in, the other one didn’t. Upon request we got one from reception but it was a rather pointless as the devices just pushed the hot air through the room. Overall we were not impressed. We had chosen the hotel because of its close proximity to the English Garden park but it’s not enough to justify the price for what is a rather mediocre hotel.

In a quiet area but lovely walk into main square. Friendly staff . Room small but very comfortable.

A one night trip to pick up friends from the airport so did not stay in the hotel for long. The front desk staff was helpful. Fan was provided.

Very nice, small, and quiet hotel. Easy walk to attractions. Air conditioning in the rooms would be an added benefit.

Great hotel

Lovely location and a well done up property however it has gone for style over practicality unfortunately The bathroom is so small and not well designed that people on the larger side can barely use the toilet or the shower. Even the door to the bathroom isn’t big enough and you could easily scrape yourself on the towel rail. There is no air conditioning which makes it very uncomfortable and hot in warm weather, although there is a fan it’s tiny and more about design than being useful Also worth noting that there are no English speaking tv channels on tv and no way to use your own casting device

Really great service and facilities. Breakfast was fine for a hotel buffet. It is close to the gardens, and public transport.

This hotel is close to most places you would want to see in Munich - Old Town, Residence, English Garden are all within reasonable walking distance (no more than 25 minutes). Garage is expensive, but more convenient than street parking. Breakfast is also expensive, but there are breakfast and pastry shops within a 5 minute walk. Major downside, if you rent in the summer, is no AC. Good dining options within a 20 minute walk (including a very good Vietnamese Restaurant one minute walk). Facility is fairly new and very clean.

You have to stay at this hotel. It was in a very quiet neighborhood and totally convenient to the Garten Englischer and other Munich highlights. Easy access to transportation of all types. The hotel was beautifully maintained and my room was sparkling. The staff was extremely accommodating and super friendly.

No AC in the room, or a phone to call front desk...other than that, spectacular

This hotel is beautifully appointed! We lived the Industrial style of our room, but it was a little too small. Also, there was a terrible odor emanating from the toilet the entire time...maybe sewer gases?

I really enjoyed my stay here: The hotel is located in a clean, safe, calm neighbourhood and has quick, easy access to both the tram and subway. Getting from the main train station to the hotel by subway was quick and easy. I would definitely stay here again. My room was the perfect size for a business trip and would also be perfect for a personal trip. The bed was comfortable and I slept well, I enjoyed the decor. The shower stall was sufficiently large for me but larger people might prefer something more spacious.There is a small window - the temperature in the room was nice at this time of year but it would likely be hot in the summer, as there is no AC. I enjoyed having breakfast in the lobby - there are a number of cold and hot options (scrambled eggs and bacon) and the atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The highlight of my stay was the staff: They were all very welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout my stay. Thank you!

Amazing, boutique like hotel in a quite neighbourhood close to historic part of downtown Munich with a modern design. Nice variety of food options for breakfast and welcoming staff.

Interesting history as an ice factory with an innovative ice rink. Now bang up to date hotel. Quiet residential neighbourhood with restaurants and food shops nearby. Few minutes walk from Lehel underground and tram stops.

Cooles Hotel, toller Style, freundlicher Service

Modern industrial style hotel. Clean and warm during winter time. Although not sure if it will be as good during hot summer day as I can't see any air conditioning, only heater. Service were great, friendly and helpful. Another great things about this hotel is their fair policy if you decided to not to ask for room service for cleaning it gave you a choice between wines, beer or others. Which I found it really fair for customer! I hope this can We were opting for a bottle of Riesling and it wasn't disapointing. I hope more hotels have this policy.
