This place was a great base if you're looking to be out and about in the area. It's a pretty straightforward motel, no bells and whistles, but the room interior was very clean, recently spruced up, and comfortable. It was foggy while we were there, but there's a pleasant area and dock to sit and watch the lake during downtime.
I also appreciate that the Three Branches bakery and cafe is a short walk away and open at 7am in season, so grabbing a quick bite before heading out for the day was incredibly easy.
We will very likely stay here again.

The sign to the inn has the wrong name on it. The mattress is ancient and rock hard.

We arrived around 3pm and everything was locked up. Found a sign on the office door saying to pick up the room key at the gas station next door. There was no one there the whole evening or the next morning. So returned the key to the gas station. There was no phone number if there was an issue and with everything locked up, we couldnt even get ice. At first we didnt know what to do. If there was an emergency or something then an email or text - some kind of "heads up" should have been the way to go. Also, everything in the room was old including the spring matresses. $200 per night was way overpriced for the experience. The only good part of the stay was the beautiful lake.

The hotel didn't have a check in area, and we had to figure it out to pick up the keys at the gas station across the motel. We tried calling but no one answered the phone.
The shower was broken and we couldn't reach out to anyone to get it fixed or have a shower. So we had to leave without getting a shower.

Check-in is across the parking lot at a gas station. You have to wait in line with gas station customers. Rooms were dated and noisy. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The setting is delightful. Lovely lake right outside. But the rooms are not very comfortable. The floors are cold, the bedding is old, the place is drafty. And there is really no place to eat on a Monday or Tuesday. Even on Sunday we could not find a restaurant with eat in service.

No room service because of No staff, no microwave and no telephone. The tv 📺 constantly cut out so you couldn’t watch a complete show. Very limited eating places too ,but we love the area !!

It could have been an ok stay. The room was clean but had no cups or tissues or T paper. We had to check in at the gas station next door. Weird. The day was 95 degrees and they didn't put the ac units in. A total shock. Noone to talk to about it. The mattress was lumpy and not comfortable. Not much for my $150. Don't stay here unless it is an absolute must

It was very convenient located in a great town where you could walk around to area stores and places to eat. Our room was clean. Only problem was the heat was too warm. Spoke with staff next day and they apologized that the house cleaning should of turned the heat down when they were in there cleaning and that the heating might be connected to another room that had it set real high. She said she would speak with the cleaning staff about checking the temps. The hot water for the shower was instant, which was very nice.
I would still give the place another try.

Hope you like the sound of snow machines at all hours of the day. It was loud all the time. No parking because of all the trucks hauling trailers. My room was so dirty that I wiped down the surfaces before bringing my stuff inside. There was even unflushed urine in the toilet.

Very disappointing. You cannot find the motel since they changed the name because new ownership and no street number evident to know if you're at the right place.
There's no one available to check you in and they do not answer the telephone. So I had to walk around the village at 8:30 night time and ask someone who happen to know that I have to pick up the room key at the gas station from the attendant. Its very stressful if you show up late at night as there are no other hotels in this remote region.

Our GPS took us right to the property, but it was confusing that the sign said Lakefront Inn, not Island Pond Country Inn, and a sign in the window said check in at the Irving Gas station next door. Same with filling ice bucket, and checkout. No problem, just confusing.

The motel is very dated. The room equipment looks quite old. The bed, sheets, etc. look very dated. The bathroom on the other hand was updated and very clean.
The reception is at a nearby gas station, checkin time is before 8 PM. There is nobody there after 8 PM. My bad that i did not notice that, i assumed someone will be there. This was menioned in the booking but an oversight on my part. I had to sleep in backseat of my car. This was bad on my part. It is located next to a beautiful lake in pretty town

How ever wish beds where more comfortable and wish they had more than travel size soap and shampoo with conditioner sizes overall had a wonderful time staff was very accommodating

In center of town within walking distance to all and on the pond. The beds weren’t comfortable and the shades broken with no curtain to block out outsides lights on all night long.

This Inn isn't even called Island Pond Country Inn, which is confusing when you're looking for it in a town with only 3 lodging options. Locals seem to use the Inn property as a public beach. All business of the Inn is run through the gas station next door which leads to purchases (ice, breakfast) that should have been part of the stay. Folks at the gas station are overwhelmed by that job and pay little attention to the Inn. Would choose the other option should I go back to this town.
