It was so nice to have a really strong AC unit in Cartagena. My room was dark and cool and comfy. The reception was exceptional and let me check in at noon, even though check in wasn’t for a few hours. They helped me book a cab for the airport. Would highly recommend staying here!

I prefer not to get into detail, but if you have a second person in your room they will charge you. Even though I clearly marked and it was on my reservation that there would be two people. They still charged $70/day! No where is that in writing. I was kind of held captive to pay it. I’ll never come back. It’s unfortunate, because it is a nice property. They’re sneaky! Also tried to charge me for drinks I didn’t use from the mini bar and a stuffed animal that was clearly left on the bed.

The staff was excellent! They were definitely the highlight. The location was very good. The room lacked natural sunlight. But, the decor and the lighting made up for it. Bathroom was very clean and spacious. Room service was prompt and efficient. The buffet breakfast was very very nice. A few minor things to be improved upon. But, for the money, a great 5 day stay. I would stay here again if I visited Cartagena again.

The staff Angie and Laura were great! They were very helpful with suggestions and were quite pleasant and kind. The cafe/restaurant staff, especially Juan Carlos and Eduardo and there were 2 others (didn't get their names). They were incredibly nice and helpful. I truly appreciated the welcome drink and cold mint towels were a fantastic touch!
The rooms were spacious and clean and comfy. The hotel was in a quiet area, but in walking distance to everything.
I wish the pool was a little larger, but it served the purpose and I enjoyed it.

overpriced boutique hotel , the front desk has very limited english and hospitality skills, they try to charge you for everything on top of the expensive room, As a all is pretty much Cartagena the disappointment, overpriced hotels and it is very very humid hot even in April, its a pretty little town of endless similar tourist shops, street vendors selling the same things..and people harassing you to get your money, with not much to see beside the historical center colonial architecture. spending a day is enough to see it all. there is better place to go in Colombia with better climate and better attitude.

My husband and I loved everything about our stay at Casa Don Luis. We stayed in the king suite with the corner balcony. From the decor to cleanliness to the staff. We celebrated his 40th birthday. They remembered and at breakfast sang happy birthday to him. The location was excellent . Everything in the old town was within walking distance with unlimited restaurants and cafes to choose from. It was truly an awesome experience. I would recommend this hotel for years to come.

We absolutely loved Casa Don Luis! Eduardo and the staff were amazing. So much attention to detail. They really made it a memorable trip. The rooms are lovely and the property is simply stunning!

Staff and service were excellent, great breakfast every morning, a little something different for the 3 days that we stayed. There was a bit of renovation going on while we were there but the noise and visuals were kept to a minimum. Overall amazing stay and would definitely return.

Staff was AMAZING. Restaurant was AMAZING. Building is perfect. Pools are 10/10. Worth the money. Grounds are GORGEOUS and well kept. Had a perfect time there and will be back.

It was sort of nice, but weird. I had two rooms, and neither had a normal window. The first room, I had a window looking over the lobby and dining room, which didn't offer daylight or seem very private, so I asked for another room. The second room, I had two portholes, which made it feel like I was on a ship. I could see up and out, but that meant mostly sky but also the rooftop deck, which means anyone there had a view back at me.

The property and rooms are gorgeous, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. My one disappointment is that the main pool is in the middle of the dining room so it’s a bit awkward to go for a swim. There’s a rooftop jacuzzi as well but during the day, I’d like a more shaded/cooler option for swimming. I would stay again though. The bed was very comfy and the room was clean.

There wasn't anything not to like about our stay at Casa Don Luis by Faranda Boutique. There was a full free breakfast bar with pastries and freshly made juices daily with made to order eggs any style, pancakes and waffles. The overall ambiance and service in the hotel was above and beyond. We have already recommended Don Luis to a fellow traveler on our flight home from Colombia, and will contiinue to recommend the hotel to any future Cartagena travelers.

The hotel itself was amazing, close to everything in the heart of Cartagena. the breakfast was very fresh every morning with lots of choices. the staff were very helpful helpful and friendly.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. It was serene and decorated to perfection. The staff was amazing. I absolutely loved our stay here and would go back in a heart beat.
There wasn't anything I didn't like other that our first room was by the dining room but when we requested another room they were very helpful and we were completely satisfied.
