Very clean and friendly staff! My husband and I definitely enjoyed our stay. All of the restaurants we went to were only about a 10-15 minute drive and the AMC movie theater is walking distance from the hotel! Convenient area and overall quiet hotel! Would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Grand Rapids area!

Room was clean, beautiful. Walls were very thin, could hear EVERYTHING happening in neighboring rooms.

The property was clean and in a convenient area. But the room could have been cleaned in more detail but other than that it was ok. Our stay could almost be perfect if breakfast service was better. The third day we were there we kept having to ask for things like plates, coffee and cups and if there was a refill of food coming.

After traveling from Chicago through a harrowing snowstorm, where it was a parent that Michigan does not plow or salt their highways, I was extremely disappointed to see that the parking lot of the hotel itself had not even been cleared. Not only was it hard to navigate, I could hardly get out as the parking lot sits lower than the surrounding shopping mall, pavement, and it was treacherous. Just trying to go out for dinner became quite the endeavor! Word to management…PLOW YOUR PARKING LOT!!!

Check in was poor. Understaffed and no communication to front desk attendant as far as what rooms were cleaned and which ones where not. She had to leave the desk and run to check rooms before letting people have there room. It wasn’t her fault. We arrived at 4:30 and it took about 45 minutes to get our room as well as the other people waiting for their rooms.

Quiet and close to shopping. We did have a few sweet ants in our room….not a huge deal but not good either.

The only issue was checking in. This was not a staff issue at all, seems more of a Marriot issue. But I booked a king bed room over a month out before the trip. I checked in 10 minutes after check in time began, and was told that my room was now a double queen. That they dont block rooms until check in and kings were sold out. Which I find odd since I checked in 10 minutes after 3. Anyway, everything else was great. Just dont expect to get the room that you booked in advance. Oh and breakfast was great too.
