This motel was close to restaurants and convenient for my vacation

Room was clean but the bed and pillows were hard.

Very reasonable and close to downtown. Tv didn’t work was rectified quickly.

The beds were clean the heat was good but the room was shabby I don’t feel like it was a room worth $122,00 it should have been more like $75,00 if I would have had a choice I would not have stayed there hopefully they will get the rooms up to par where people can enjoy their room while they are there

Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was as expected clean and neat the bed was comfortable.

No staff upon arrival, waited until 5 am to get checked in, after numerous calls to person on property.

Would not recommend it.

Clean enough, very small room, but run-down and sad. OK if your desperate and not picky.

The room was musty and covered up with a strong smelling fragrance. Water was standing on the floor in the bathroom and the carpet was soaking wet under the vanity. The maintenance man tried to vacuum the floor and carpet then put a heater on the floor. This made the room very humid and warm. I turned off the heater and turned on the air conditioning. I was worried about mold contamination but the manager said there were no other rooms available. I walked across the floor in my white Sox’s near the bed and the bottom of my soxs were dirty. Just not a pleasant experience over all!!!

I will start by saying that we’ve stayed here in the past and never has it been in the condition it was this time. The place was nasty. The office smelled like moth balls. There was trash everywhere outside of the rooms and the place hasnt been kept up in quite a while. The facility lacked attention in all aspects. Multiple renters that i know of asked for more toilet paper and bath towels to which was an act of congress to get from the office. For the most part the rooms were clean. There were little things that needed attention like the towel hanger in the bathroom pulled away from the wall and the window curtains with duct tape. I do not recommend this motel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Spruce Pine

Old and rundown. Noisy

This appears to be a family-owned business. There are active renovations happening (7/2023), so it will likely improve on the quality scale. It is conveniently located near downtown Spruce Pine and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The beds are too tall, but the mini-fridge and microwave were nice conveniences.

Room was large and clean and had everything we needed in the room

This property is a work in progress but the work is being done in a neat and orderly manner. Room was extremely clean the mattress was brand new and so comfortable and no bugs! Owner is very proud of his place and is very accommodating.

I liked the "no motion transfer" mattress.

The front desk and housekeeping were very nice and friendly and helpful. The room was outdated and not real clean.

Love the place, but the new beds are way to high to get in for an average heighth person.

The sheets were filthy dirty, they definitely were not cleaned. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned very well. Electrical fixtures were taped together and the main panel was covered with plastic. The front of the building had a bunch of excess material that looked like garbage.

Motel was older but looks like they are doing a lot of updates. Room was good size, nice and clean. Will stay again next time we are up this way.

Good place good people

Fist fight in the parking lot; someone tried opening our door at 11 pm; 1st room was not cleaned upon check in; old mattresses in the parking lot; 2nd room key didn’t work; tv remote didn’t work; other than that great motel

How does anyone sleep on these brick mattresses.

Not the best, but not the worst. Needed some upgrades, but they were working on some other areas of the motel. Essentials were met, but that was it.

It was very clean and the staff was awesome. Close to places to eat and not too far from the activities

This was a definite YES! The staff was amazing. The room so clean. Simple, inexpensive, great people . With so many hiking trails and attractions within 10-30 minutes. We will definitely be back.

This was a fine place to just stop for the night, but I wouldn't have wanted to vacation here. Nothing terrible, nothing awesome, except that the guys at the front desk were friendly and helpful. When I needed a ziploc to contain a leaky bag of gumbo, he got one for me. The room was clean enough and the bed was fine. It looks like they're in the process of revamping, or at least painting, but they put me far enough away from that activity. I would stay here again if just passing through.

Prompt service Up keep not to my standards.

I stopped here and had a nice stay the other night! The bed was comfortable and blankets warm. Scott deserves an honorable mention, i had a good conversation with him and that left a lasting impression. Pine Valley Motel was a nice getaway! I may have to come visit again.

Safe area, very clean and comfortable bed.

Location was convenient and room was clean but no food available.
