Hilary snd Pail gave us a lovely welcome . it is situated just a little way out of York , easy to get there by public transport or car .

Wonderful hosts, very good bed, quiet surroundings and excellent breakfast who could ask for more. Easy bus service into York, I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

It would have been nice to have a slightly larger bathroom, but it had all the necessary.

A beautiful homely hotel, gorgeous features and furniture .Very comfortable and relaxing . Hilary and Paul were very polite , attentive , friendly and professional . We’re looking forward to staying at Westergate again.

Really lovely b&b, Hilary & Paul were very kind & welcoming hosts. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, cereals, fresh fruit, & a selection of hot dishes incl. full english. Evening meal offered on certain days at additional cost which was also really good. We were welcomed with tea & cake on arrival, & had fresh baked cakes delivered to our room every day.

Everything was lovely. Booking.com says there is no parking for some reason, Hilary is trying to get this corrected, there is plenty of parking on the long drive.

Nice property, well maintained and in the country side. The room was spacious ans was clean. We arrived late but owners were flexible to check us in. Nice Koi pond. The breakfast was excellent; I would definitely stay again. The owners are polite and very helpful.

Tea & cakes on arrival. We left something behind when we left, & were phoned to advise us before leaving the area. Very genial & helpful hosts, rooms to a high standard. Would definitely book again if visiting area!

Fantastic stay at westergate house, room was lovely & we slept well, cooked breakfast was excellent and the choice of cereal and fruit with juice was really nice, perfect location for our shopping trip to York and York outlet, hosts were great, nothing was to much trouble we will definitely be returning next year …

Great to stay just outside of York away from the hustle and bustle yet conveniently close enough. Nicely Covid safe. Immaculately clean.. Super-helpful hosts. Extremely comfortable rooms. Superb breakfasts and dinners which were by request and include traditional Yorkshire dishes. We at Birding Ecotours plan to always use this place for all our guests on all future tours to Yorkshire.

Beautiful B&B. Lovely room. Home made cookies, surprise birthday cake, friendly, sociable owners, relaxed, excellent breakfast, great location - bus stop to York just outside. Nice pub along the road too - the White Swan.

Arrived and had a friendly greeting from Paul. Location was good. just outside York, with beautiful surroundings. Good bus service into York that ran regularly, and bonus price of £1.00 if traveling after 7pm. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. As a single traveller I was impressed with a double bed, and on suite shower and toilet. The room was on the back so was very peaceful with views of the well kept garden. Paul and Hillary were the perfect hosts, who were always smiling, friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Good selection of breakfast available, with additional items available on request. Free wi fi available.

No reliable access to evening meal at the local pub during my stay, however this was not within the control of Paul and Hillary as they only advertise as bed and breakfast.

Good location service was excellent breakfast was lovely the whole property was clean and well maintained the couple who run the place are lovely very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again and recommend it to my friends and family.
