House was good overall for our needs. Few minor complaints/issues:
1) Traffic Noise is loud and constant with dump trucks traveling the road beneath the house
2) Some bugs were found inside, so the place could use a visit from pest control, especially the red mites out on the deck that kept us from using the outside seating
3) Limbs around the deck and house could use a trim to make the area more usable
4) With only streaming service, internet went out a few evenings and didn't come back until the next day. Would be nice if there were more kid friendly dvds available for these times.

Lots of space for a small home and easy check in. This is a great location if you love the laid back atmosphere of NC. Also if you want to enjoy the Tuckasegee River. Be advised if you have allergies this house is an old house and has many things that can cause allergic reactions.

We had a lovely time at Shenanigans River House celebrating one of our twin daughters graduate from WCU as a DPT. Lovely morning walks down front street Dillsboro, quick visits up to Sylva. Only recommend giving better directions on TV set up, emailed the office and they had Chad out quickly. Issue w/ smoke detector and battery died so had a beep, again responded quickly and replaced it. Water went out during a storm as on a shared well but again they quickly found the problem and got us back up. We will be back!!!

The house was the perfect size for our family and in a great location. We enjoyed the fire pit and the rafting place across the street opened up just for us to go down the river.

Proximity to activities was good.
Property is not overly dog friendly; no fenced in yard or deck. Nowhere to walk our dog due to the home location near busy roads.

Great location! Walking distance to the river for tubing and fishing. Turn the teenagers loose !!! The cabin has an excellent view of the river , with several viewing points and a fire pit to enjoy the s'mores after hotdogs . It was very clean and excellent decorating! This cabin had more accessories than what we had anticipated, including toiletries, high quality linens, and spices.! Exceeded our expectations and give it the highest recommendation. Will definitely book it again.!!!

We didn't arrive until 7pm and we had a small issue. No one from the property management company called us back until 10 am the next day. This isn't necessarily bad, just our first time staying at a property managed this way. The exterior needing a good washing and was generally overgrown but the inside was very clean. We definitely took advantage of the river sports located right in front of the property.

VERY EASY TO FIND ON GOOGLE MAPS. RECEIVED E-MAIL WITH CHECK IN INFORMATION IN PLENTY OF TIME BEFORE CHECK IN. CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT PROCESS VERY EASY. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF RIVER.

We enjoyed staying at this VRBO. It was great to be able to look out the windows and see the river. Dillsboro was fun with nice restaurants and a brewery. The house was cozy and had most everything we needed. Check in/check out was simple with clear instructions.

Overall, the stay was exactly as expected. The property was very clean and stocked with all essentials. There was even firewood for the fire pit (you would need to buy more for a longer evening or multiple evenings by the fire).
It's located directly adjacent to the Dillsboro River company which was convenient for us. Great family outing with class to rapids which can be navigated by completely inexperienced rafters ;-).
Dillsboro downtown is very close - but you should drive there since it's across a heavily trafficked bridge.
We would do it again.

Spacious and cozy home with lovely views of the river and mountains. Walkable to the charming town of Dillsboro. Rafting and fishing access are right across the street. We enjoyed watching all the rafts floating down the river from the numerous outdoor spaces. The location is so perfect with lots of room for our large family. We will be staying here again!

House condition and accommodations were good. It was great we could bring our dog. Places around the home were limited for walking a dog but there were several places locally that the dog walking was great.

The shenanigans house was very cozy and nice. The Mountain View was beautiful and river and just a short drive to downtown with shops and restaurants. There is a road right next to the house that is the access road to a quarry and everyday starting at 6am ish there are dump trucks coming up and down braking right outside your windows. They are very loud and hard to sleep through. It is pet friendly but no yard just rock and roads so keep that in mind if you are needing space for them run a bit, you will have to take them elsewhere to get that out.

Awesome home tucked beside the river. Close proximity to WCU where my daughter just graduated from. Will definitely stay here again!

Property is convenient to Dillsboro and Sylva. You can hear the highway as the listing states but it did not bother us. There are a lot of street lights and security light on the property which did make back bedroom fairly bright at night despite the plastic blinds. The kitchen is well stocked for simple cooking. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great experience and will definitely be staying again in the future!! The house was very clean and very roomy!!

The hosts left us a gift and many supplies that lasted all weekend. Like aluminum foil, salt and pepper, ziplock bags, etc. The house was quaint and we really enjoyed our time. The only concern was dog hair on sheets and the bathroom floor of the tub feels like it may need to be replaced. Sylva was a great town and the house was in the perfect location as it was close to everything.
Suggestion, I don't know if 1 is great and 5 is bad or vice versa. If 5 was perfection then I give this place a 4.
